Whisper was just visiting Spiral Hill village, walking through the village center before Tangle excitedly leaped towards her with her tail, a mischievous and excited expression on her face, looking like she was going to burst into laughter.
Whisper raised her eyebrow as Tangle was almost jumping on the spot, confused at what she possibly excited about.
"Tangle?" She muttered, a puzzled look on her face.
"Did you get my message?" Tangle replied, smiling profusely.- Only confusing Whisper further.
Lowering her eyebrow, Whisper took her phone from her cloak, opening her contacts.
Tangle had, infact, sent her a message-
A link.
"Press it!" Tangle said as she jumped behind Whisper, peeking over her shoulder before Whisper pushed her away slowly.
"Right- sorry- boundaries. But press it! C'mon!" Tangle continued, waiting for Whisper to press the link.
And she did.
An unfamiliar song began to play in the middle of town as Tangle burst into laughter, falling over and wiping tears from her face.
"BAHAHA!- PFF- You actually played it-" Tangle yelled as she got up, sighing and calming herself.
"Ha.- Oh boy." She continued as Whisper blushed profusely, embarrassed and flattered-
She didn't know Tangle even thought of her that way.
She never thought Tangle shared her feelings- that Tangle loved her- She just thought that they were friends. Whisper had been trying to keep her crush to herself, but now? Tangle had made it obvious- she was expressing her love.
And Whisper would never deny it.
"I...love you too." Whisper muttered, her voice choked up slightly, giving Tangle a hug.
Tangle was absolutely surprised- blushing, face redder than a tomato.
"Uh...Whisper? I-" Tangle began to speak, but had no idea what to say.
She was practically speechless. All she could do was hug Whisper back- She, despite having feelings for Whisper, was surprised at the random proclamation of her affection.
But certainly didn't mind it.
Whisper released Tangle from hug as the song began to stop playing, 'Never Gonna Give You Up' ending.
It was a rickroll.
Fortunately, Whisper had no idea what a rickroll was.
