Dinner
The dining area was huge. Like, really huge. A red carpet met them at the front of the room and draped across the massive place, giving a fancy vibe to the area. The walls were a darker red, snobbish if a wall could even be bratty. Waiters and waitresses roamed around the room, dressed in black and white suits tending to many other guests (also dressed incredibly well.)
“…How expensive were the tickets?” The anxious voice of Kevin asked. He knew the Hamato’s had money because the mom is a businesswoman and their dad is a retired actor but dang. They would probably be spending more money on this trip than Kevin’s family even had.
It’s mind blowing to someone who comes from a family that can barely afford rent.
“Oh- perhaps thousand dollars.” Big Mama chirped as if that wasn’t a lot of money.
“ONE THOUSAND!? FOR EACH!?” He yelled, he covered his mouth as the strangers in the restaurant stared at him for accidentally making a scene.
“For each, you silly billy!” Mama patted him on the head. He was shocked- he was with the one percent. He was far from poor but he wasn’t near loaded either… this is so weird.
April tuned out the amazed noises made by Kevin to look at her brothers; they have been silent ever since she and her girlfriend told them about their feelings. And they still had the same looks on their faces- giddiness, shock, begrudged acceptance, and a look that said “I should have saw this coming.”
She quirked her lip, amused by them. Sunita had the same idea as she was also grinning like an idiot. After a little more of Kevin’s ranting about how pricey the tickets were they sat down at a table. A pretty big on to fit all twelve of them.
“Hello! My name is Myst, I’ll be your sever today. Here are some menus, all me when you’re ready to order!” The waiter said, smiling at the table.
“Thank you Mx.” Splinter bowed his head. They smile at him a bit more and walk off. For no true reason Loe kissed Mama on the cheek, causing all their kids to cringe slightly. Big Mama laughed at that and kissed him too. Now the teens were straight up looking away as the five guests fiddled awkwardly, not really knowing what to say.
“So what do we all want?” Mama asked, playing with her hair.
“Don’t know, spaghetti sounds good. Simple and tasty! A true combo.” Raph suggested.
“I would like to spice it up, perhaps a risotto?” Mikey thought out loud. “Yeah, a risotto baby! But which one-? Pork? Pork!”
“Hm? I think I want seafood, crab should do.” Leo examined the menu, whistling when he found something he liked. “Crab legs, fancy~!” He hummed with humor.
“They have chicken Alfredo too- I think I would like that.” Donnie muttered. Raph sent him a grin.
“Copycat- wanting pasta like your big brother!” Raph proudly proclaims. Donnie rolled his eyes fondly.
Everyone else picked out what they wanted, also picking out the drinks.
Myst came back to ask if they were all ready and put their orders in. It was a busy night for them but this job pays well so- who cares?
The four boys were still in that state- it was the funniest thing to April! The four were struggling with that fact- it will take a long time for them to confess. She knows it.
Usagi perked his head up to see how Leo was doing. He chuckled a bit before smirking. “What’s with the long face shell for brains? You look like you just saw a ghost!” He joked, fond look in his eyes. He sent a wink to him, god why did he do that!? Now he’ll think he’s flirting!
Leo turned a bright shade of red. “Pfft! Of course I’m good- why wouldn’t I be!? No ghosts here! Haha…” He failed terribly to play it cool. “I only see an angel.” He thought. God damn it! He was falling hard! Was he flirting with him!? “Get yourself together!” He scolded himself.
Yuichi wasn’t the only one who noticed something off with their friend.
Alex looked at Mikey concerned, he was just staring at the ground with vague smile on his face. He was normally more expressive, that was worrying.
“Hey Angelo, you doing ok?” He asked, moving his hand to touch Mikey’s shoulder. Alex felt his cheeks rose up. Mikey felt himself warm at his touch, ears covered in flush. Oh gosh! Oh me gosh! He was touching him! Oh, what does he say!?
“I- uh- yep! Ha- I’m better than good!” Wow, smooth, very smooth. God dang it! He needs to get it together.
Donnie was trying to ignore his friend’s looks at him. This wasn’t happening, he didn’t like his friend! Nope, he didn’t find him cute… definitely not! Ugh- this is the worst.
“Don, you alright? You’ve been quiet.” Kevin asked him.
“I’m fine! What’s it to you anyway?” He asked defensively. He was trying desperately to get rid of the slight blush and smile on his face. Feelings! Why!?
“You sure? You seem grumpy.” He asked again. His stubbornness would be cute if it wasn’t annoying as hell too.
“Ask that again I will smack you.” That got a laugh out of his friend. He hides face with his hands as Kevin let out the laugh.
“Whoa there! Won’t bother you anymore, it’s ok!”
Raph was fiddling with his utensils, clinking them together. Just trying to tune out Elijah. “Pasta huh? Trying to recreate that scene from Lady and The Tramp?” He teased. Raph stuttered at that.
“I- wah!? Y-you!? Oh please, you are a riot.” He smacked him lightly in the arm. He was being obvious… very obvious dang it. He can’t keep it together! He needs to.
“Just joking, it’s ok! …Hey are you ok? Your face looks like it’s burning up.” He asked.
“Raph’s fine! He’s just a bit hot.” Raph laughed nervously.
Sunita was trying hard not to laugh as April was already wheezing. They were such disasters! Splinter and Mama were both confused, turning their heads.
“Back with the food and drinks!” The waiter chimed in out of nowhere. It must have been quite a scene to walk into.
“Thank you Myst!” Mikey smiled. The rest of the family said their thanks and so sis the guests.
The food was eaten with the boys in silence as everyone else talked. If they kept being so obvious their brothers would find out! That is a thought that scared them all, they were all very protective over each other. If one of them liked someone the others would threaten to beat them up- and that would be horrible!
Luckily dinner and dessert eventually ended so they could to their room. The boys were happy to lie in bed before remembering they have to share it- oh no. This will be even worse.
April grinned at Sunita happily, step two! Well more like step 1.5. Appropriate mood music. She texted them a song that was the reason the plan was named the way it was. It was by a singer named dhruv and she felt like it was perfect for what was needed.
Knowing them they would all wake up at different times and lost to music before trying to sleep, so seeing the song she send them would be the cheery on top!
The two girls share a look of understanding.
This will make them do a double take.
