All Aboard!
“EVERYONE HURRY UP!” Big Mama yelled. The house was flying into pure insanity. Packing the morning of the trip is something that you should never do but here we are anyway, the family crumbling apart faster than a dry piece of cake in a attempt to rush. All the necessities were token care of by Mama but everything else was still laying around somewhere.
“WE HAVE A HOUR TO GET THERE MOVE IT!” Splinter screamed. With that, he left to get the car with his friend who would be driving them and take the car back. Donnie took a seat on the couch and everyone else was pushing each other out of the way to find things. Mama was close to snapping as she spat at everyone to hurry.
Mikey was scrambling with as much grace as a hippo trying to dance ballet to find his sketch book. Imagine what beautiful things are waiting there to draw! He can’t miss it and he needs pencils too. He was throwing things out of the way to find it but he couldn’t. A stuff animal, old drawings, spray paint, the yo-yo he lost when he was 5? What-? After all this time it was just-!?Ugh, he’ll think about it later, he needs to find the book. His old bracelet, a pair of shoes, a bag of candy! He will bring that.
A paint brush, his sketch book! He found it, thank god! He fixed up his room a bit then packed it into his suitcase. He absolutely can’t wait for this trip! He was about to go on a boat, with his family, AND his best friend. This is awesome.
He went to join Donnie in the living room. See, Donnie was actually smart and packed the night before so he was smugly waiting for everyone with a cocky grin. Leo sticks his tongue out in annoyance as Don smiled wider at that. He won. He is the better twin (at least in his mind, both are the best twin).
Leo groaned at his twin’s obnoxiousness. God he owes him a few apologies, he had done this to him so many times. He found his favorite comic not too long after that (after completely wrecking his room) and packed it away. Now he was done too and Donnie was rubbing it in how he took longer than Mikey and how stupid it was of him to pact the morning of and not the night before. Which was fair.
Raph let out a relieved sigh after finding his swim cap, his suit was already packed but he needed the cap. Mama had everything needed in a stylish but also comedically large bag, Splinter was waiting in the car, time to go! Big Mama pushed all her kids into the back of the car because they weren’t going fast enough and took a seat innocently next to her kids as if she wasn’t freaking out the whole time.
Rolling the windows down and hitting the accelerator they go off! They take multiple turns everywhere to find the streets needed to get to the cruise. The warm summer wind blew nicely in everyone’s hair, the sun gleamed perfectly off the shiny paint of the vehicle, and the overwhelming smell of salt water filled the air as they got closer to the beach. The sun lied on the ocean as its golden sunshine spread across the beach. The water shimmered under the sun’s glow.
The friend dropped them off and waved them goodbye, they will be tending the house while everyone is gone. The four brothers get immediately tackled by April. “Boys! There you are, oh my god! You are all the best!” She crushed them into hug.
“Thank our parents hermana, not us.” Leo chuckled. She nodded and energetically thanked them. Sunita was quick to follow with the brightest eyes they had evert seen. The sun behind them was nothing compared to the sheer happiness radiating from Sunita’s joyful smile and eyes.
“I found you all! Oh gosh, this is so cool!!!” She gave them a pure grin. “You guys are so cool! Thank you for this, my parents are so happy that I’m finally made some friends! And that I finally will have a normal summer with friends instead of watching a B.B.Q channel.”
“TMI Suni, TMI.” Donnie perked up from his phone with an unimpressed look on his face.
”Hi babe!” April ran up to her girlfriend and landed a kiss on Sunita’s cheek. The 2 held hands and began chatting about their day. The brothers smiled at the couple and continued waiting.
“So I got the juiciest story for my high school news paper next year! Wanna hear the details?” April gave a cheeky grin.
“Ooo! Spill!” Sunita gave an enthusiastic smile.
“Well, I found out by a little birdie, that someone has been stealing money from the school~! And I will find out who it was! As soon as this trip is over that is.” The two yell cheers out as they jumped in joy. __________________________________
“Oh my baby! I’m going to miss you my little spot!” Alex’s mom, Brianna, sobbed dramatically.
“Mom, it will be fine! And you already agreed to this. Also, why do you call me spot?” Alex tried to reassure his mother.
“Because you have little spots on your face, my little freckle monster!” Brianna pinched her son’s cheeks. She cooed at him as he yelped in embarrassment.
“Mama! I love you but, not in public.” He groaned. Alex sighed in relief when she let him go.
“Ok, ok. You are a teenager now, have fun baby, I love you.” She smiled and placed a kiss on his forehead. “Now go meet your friend, he seems so nice.” Alex nodded at that and he ran off with his luggage. He really was a great friend, he loves him so much. If felt nice to be around him, not like his mom or his other friends, it was different but nice. Maybe it was just a best friend thing.
Even amongst the crowds of people he found that bright orange t-shirt and pretty smile immediately. Once he found him, he didn’t see anyone but him, tunnel vision. With the biggest grin he could muster, he headed over.

”Did you remember to pack enough pajamas? Last time we went on a trip you forgot- LISA, IZZY, STOP FIGHTING!” Jena, Kevin’s stressed out mom, asked. She was interrupted by the fighting of his younger sisters. Lisa and Izzy huffed angrily.
“When we are his age can we go on a trip?” Izzy questioned.
“Yes honey, now did you remember to put on sunscreen?” His also stressed out dad, Rick, asked him. He gave him a look.
”Yeah dad and also yes mom. I didn’t forget anything this time, trust me I made sure of it.” Kevin gave them a nervous smile.
“I hope you enjoy your trip little bro!” His oldest sister, Victoria patted his head. She messed up his hair while he sticked his tongue out at her.
“Yes, I will!” He beamed.
“Have fun sweetheart! Mama loves you, SANDY. DO. NOT. EAT. THAT.” Jena tried to say her goodbyes but once more was interrupted by the sisters antics. Sandy growled at her. Lisa rolled her eyes and made her cough out the sand for her mom.
All of the family members hugged him goodbye. “He will be fine darling.” Rick whispered to Jena. She gave him a small peck on the lips to thank him.
“Have fun with your friend, judging by the way you talk about him, you really seem to like him~!” Victoria said in a teasing tone. Kevin looked at her confused and she just winked at him. He shrugged and goes off with his suitcase. She was right though. He really did like him. I mean, no duh. They were friends! Friends until the end. He always felt so happy around him. He gave him flutters. It’s probably just a best friend thing, he never had one until Don after all!
Even with all the shapes in the clouds he could be distracted by the only thing he saw was that pair of goggles and some beautiful shaggy hair. Purple fades.
With that, now knowing where he is, he ran towards him. __________________________________
“You better behave yourself on this trip Yuichi, I am trusting you my Yuki.” Usagi aunt, Fumi, instructed him. Although she had a strict tone she had loving eyes. Just like her personality.
“Yes auntie, I promise to be on my best behavior.” He assured her. He knows he hasn’t been the most responsible in the past so he will take this as a opportunity to prove that he can be.
“Good. Now, remember I love you and have fun.” Fumi landed a kiss on her nephew’s hand. “Remember to brush your teeth.” He smiled softly at his caregiver, nodded, and ran with his baggage.
“Wait!” She called out. Usagi turned his head quickly and gave her a confused glance.
”Your buddy there seems like a nice boy, I wish to get to know him better one day.” Fumi said, her tone losing all it’s authority, becoming softer and more friendly.
”Yes auntie! I promise you will, and he is really nice.” And with that, he ran off to find his blue clad friend. He is really nice, and funny, and charming, and cool, but also dorky, and he’s just the best! He likes him so much, they really are best friends!
Even through every crowd that blond hair and those birth marks of his were as clear as glass. Undeniably it was who he was searching for.
He was too excited to hold it in, he skipped his way over there. __________________________________
”I can’t believe you convinced me to agree with this.” One of Eli’s dads, Liam, deadpanned. If he got anymore stressed a blood vessel would pop out of him. He was sure of it. “You remembered your sunscreen, right?”
“Yes dad, and I’ll be fine! Tell him pops!” Elijah jokingly whines. It got a laugh out of his other dad, Jack.
“He’s right you know? My dear, he will be ok.” Jack assured with a playful look on his face.
“Alright. If you truly think you‘ll be ok… remember we both love you, ok?” Liam kissed his son’s cheek.
“Don’t worry dad, I’ll be ok. I promise you. Plus, pops his here to keep you company!” Elijah hugged his dad in a crushing way.
“So I will be hanging out with rock brain all summer?” Liam joked. Elijah gasped dramatically as Jack laughed.
“Oh you know you love me.” Jack teased. He gave Liam a flirtatious look but it didn’t impress him for he just rolled his eyes and kissed him softly to shut him up.
“No my dear, no.”
“Have fun honey! I hope you and that friend of yours enjoy this trip!” Jack called out, completely ignoring the jab his husband threw at him.
“We love you sport!” Liam added at the end.
“Love you too! And we’ll have a blast!” Eli gave them a cheer and rushed his way to find his group. Oh, will this be fun! And with his best friend too! Who is the sweetest guy he ever met, the purest, the strongest! And he was quite cute. Is that normal to find your friends cute? Maybe it’s a best friend thing.
Even with all the shapes in the sky made by fluffy-looking clouds he immediately found that red bandanna, that tall hight, and even his little shark tooth.
That was his man! He rushed his way there. __________________________________
”MIKEY!!!” A voice called out, startling April in the middle of her rant about how she keeps losing jobs.
She was fully prepared to fight him, she was used to people trying to hurt her boys. But luckily that wasn’t the case here.
“ALEX!!!” Mikey’s eyes lit up, as if he had stars in them. He charged his way to his friend and basically jumped on him. His held Alex in a embrace, his leg raised up, nuzzling him and everything. She couldn’t tell if she was seeing things or if it was the light but, she swears a faint blush was on both of their faces.
“I’ve been waiting my dear Alexander~” Mikey said in a singsong tone. He playfully smiled, getting a chuckle out of the freckled teen. “How was your day? What do you think ‘bout all this? Oh- wow! This will be so fun! Don’t cha think-!?” Mikey kept asking questions, very energetically and hyper.
“It was great! I couldn’t sleep last night, too excited! Too excited! This will be so fun! I agree-! I agree-!” Alex answered all his questions with the same energy and hyper voice. They did a small celebratory dance until Alex cracked a bad joke that sent Mikey to the ground laughing.
“Donatello! Donnie!” She heard another voice cheer out. She snapped her head at it.
“Kevin! Uh- salutations Kev.” Donnie tried- and failed to not sound enthusiastic about the situation. Emotionally unavailable bad boy act. As always. Ugh, April found it annoying but also hilarious.
“This is awesome! I can’t believe you wanted ME to come! I could hug you- I- uh, can I hug you?” He asked with underlying joy in his voice. Donnie had a slight smile and opened his arms to say that he may. He happily obliged and let him into an embrace. April was sure that a soft flush was glowing upon the 2s faces.
“You are nicer than you lead on.” Kev suddenly flashed a cheeky grin. Donnie scoffed.
“Nope. 100% rudeness lies right here.” Donnie gave him a smirk.
“Don’t lie to me D, you angel!” Kevin couldn’t help but tease. He quickly notice how red faced Donnie got at that. What he failed to do is connect the dots.
”Your face is so red. You need sunscreen?” He turned his head in concern for Donnie.
”Y-yeah. Give it to me please.” Don muttered. He obliged and gave him some.
April wanted to laugh. Knowing her boys, they have no idea how they feel about these “friends” of theirs. Now, how will she get them to realize? Just by looking at them it’s obvious, to everyone BUT them. God this will be her hardest job yet. Getting her 2 oblivious brothers to realize they have crushes.
“Hey turtle face!” A voice cut through her train of thought. Before she could even process who he was Leo already had him in a arm lock. A side hug if you will. And a light pink shirt on both their faces.
“Hey there cotton mouth! What took you so long fluff-for-brains? On a unrelated note, why do you call me a turtle?” Leo had his ‘I’m trying to flirt with you but I don’t even know that I like you’ face. Yeah, this face is really common for him.
“You remind me of a turtle shell head, why do you make rabbit puns about me?” Yuichi gave him a playful look.
“Your last name bunny nose!” Leo exclaimed, as if it was obvious. Which to be fair it was. “It literally translates to rabbit!”
”Well I mean, rabbits are cute. Which proves I’m cuter than you.” Usagi said with a satisfied look on his face. Leo gasped dramatically as the 2 started a lighthearted argument about who is cuter.
Ok, 3 oblivious brothers.
“Raph! Hey big guy!” With a surprise “Oof!” from Raph April jerks her head to see that, who she assumes is Raph’s plus 1, has successfully tackled him to the ground and he is currently hugging him. That must have token a lot of energy, Raph is huge!
“Hello Eli! Must you push me to the ground every time you see me?” Raph gave him a pure smile as he ruffled at Elijah’s hair.
“Well, Elijah thinks that since the first time we met he tackled you he must keep up the tradition.” Eli looked so proud of himself as he said that.
”Don’t refer yourself in the 3rd person, that’s Raph’s thing!” Raphael laughed as he got up, Elijah in tow. It sounded like a hearty chuckle but if it was more self conscious.
“Aww, such a cute laugh you got there!” Eli said as if this was the first time he heard him laugh.
”Pfft- you say that as if you never seen me do that.” Raph lifted up a snarky eyebrow. That was unusual, snarky eyebrow lifts were Leo’s thing. Or Donnie’s sometimes.
“But it is! And every time I hear it, it gets cuter Raph. You can’t deny it.” Elijah countered with a charming glint in his eyes. Blood rushed to his face, making Raph’s cheeks his favorite color.
Ok, 4 oblivious brothers. Putting that aside for now, she sighed in relief as she saw the boat preparing for boarding. In a few minutes it was open and it was time to head over!
“Let us take you to place of your dreams.” Leo proclaimed with flair. They all ran as many, MANY other people went to board.
”All aboard!”
