PIERCING EYES OF DEEP BLUE flashed a glowing cyan as a young girl aged twelve years blinked her eyes open. Cream skin with a slight sun-kissed glow, tight knee-length curls of platinum silk braided upon her head to keep it from tangling, high cheekbones, soft angular eyebrows, and naturally rosy heart-shaped lips made her quite the beauty even with her young age.
Kalia Eve Jackson sat up causing her deep blue comforter, gold-detailed white silk sheets, and the large and warm wolf pelt to fall to her waist showing her developed and lithe-sculpted muscled body. Her room suited her personality perfectly. A queen-sized bedframe and ottoman of thick white cushioning matching the chair in the corner, a white ceiling with deep blue walls, two dark silver nightstands holding three drawers and a lamp on each, a white polished wood desk and a rolling thickly cushioned chair in the corner opposite the chair, and three white doors.
The beautiful girl had a complex personality of fire and ice, raging waters and howling wolves. Slipping quietly off her bed, her white painted toes brushed upon the soft wolf-fur rug on her floor. Grabbing a pair of folded white socks off the nightstand, Kalia slipped them on, and her feet found their way into a pair on black ankle boots with fur interior causing the bottom of her joggers to ride up her ankles.
Walking around her bed, she pulled her curtains open showing the fire-escape to the alley which was covered by a black divider and blocked off leaving a small area covered in plants and a few seats to read or relax in. Turning on her heels she quickly made her bed before entering her closet to get ready for the day. The closet was organized by style and outfit. Kalia slipped into a pair of black skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, and a thin light grey hoodie leaving the jean jacket on the vanity as she took out her braid and brushed her hair before rebraiding it in a different style.
A pair of white Adidas were slipped onto her feet and laced up before the jean jacket, boots, and bathroom bag were grabbed as she exited the closet turning off the light that was within the small walk-in closet. The boots were placed where they belonged and the jacket tossed on the bed. Opening the white door next to it, she pulled turned on the light showcasing a small walk-in closet that had been turned into something different. A small table for four, a mini-fridge, convection oven and stove-top along with a wall of cabinets. A container of freshly made muffins was on the table under cover and a bottle of homemade sparkling grape cider was placed next to it as the girl took a seat.
Two poppy-seed muffins were eaten elegantly and disguarded as a few sips of the cider was drank. Turning off the light, closing the door, and slipping from the bedroom after unlocking the door, Kalia wrinkled her nose at the beer cans and trash before making her way into the bathroom where she brushed her teeth, washed her face, and returned to her room.
Depositing the bathroom bag into the closet and sitting at the desk, Kalia spent nearly an hour reading about aquatics before her mother knocked on the door. Saraphine Jackson was a beautiful woman who cared much more than most. She knew her daughter was too divine for her own good, from genius intellect, physical capabilities, prodigious skills and talents, or her personality. There was no denying that Kalia Eve Jackson was a Clear-Sighted, Mist-Gifted, Demigod Daughter of Poseidon, and Legacy of Lupa. The wolf-like tendencies and long swims were not lost of Sally, but her child was happy and safe and that was all that mattered to the mother.
"Time to go." Sally announced in the peaceful silence. Her daughter was going off to another boarding school for her own safety. Yancy Academy had accepted her for her perfect grades, GPA, and participation in multiple clubs at each school despite the fact that she never remained in a school for more than a year.
