Powdered Dreams- Deleted Scene
...sheath fell out and startled her. But where was the knife?
Caitlyn felt sharp, cold steel against her neck and warm lips on her ear. She presented her hands in a non-threatening manner. Slowly, she rose to her full height but did not turn around, terrified the knife might accidentally cut her.
"A-are you my friend?" Powder whispered, her voice cracking. "H-he said no piltie would w-want a jinx."
"Powder, you are not a jinx. I think you are enjoyable company." Caitlyn said softly, gradually reaching for the blade. Before she could grab the knife, Powder tossed it away.
"Maybe he is right." She kneeled, clutching her bright blue hair. "Am I Jinx? I-I almost killed you! Could I hurt Vi? Cou-"
Caitlyn drew the distressed girl into a hug, dismissing her partial nudity. Powder desperately embraced her, wails tearing out her throat. Voices shrieked into her ears, demented wraiths of her beloved ones shredding her sanity. She clung to warm embrace wishing, hoping, praying that someone could chase the monsters away.
Caitlyn embraced Powder with one arm while the other lightly weaved through her short hair. "Powder, why did you cut your hair?" She asked softly, trying to pull away Powder from her demons.
