Chapter 9
Hela, Loki, Tony, and Hercules walked up to the bar that Logan owned where Bucky was standing at the door checking IDs. The super soldier hadn’t noticed them yet. They had decided to check up on the man to see how he was doing. Rogers and Romanoff were still causing issues but from what they’d heard Carol and Rhodey were working together to deal with the matter. Tony was sure it wouldn’t be long before they had the matter settled. Hela for her part had been working with Loki to keep record of all the rogues had been doing in order to use it to bury them for good. They were so easily giving them more ammo to use against them.
“Hey Winter Wonderland.” Tony greeted surprising Bucky.
“Oh hi.” He awkwardly greeted them. “Did you come to make sure I haven’t turned back into Hydra’s puppet?”
Tony snorted.
“It may surprise you but none of us think that poorly of you Buckaroo. This is a family outing. Figured there was nowhere better to go than a place run by one of our fellow heroes. It’s good to support our friends after all. So how’s life treating you?”
Bucky shrugged.
“I’m doing alright. Logan keeps me busy and it’s kind of nice to have my own place. It’s freedom I haven’t had since Steve stormed into my life again.”
Tony made a face.
“Yeah, he seems to be trampling over a lot of things lately and is completely unaware of who he’s hurting in the process.”
Bucky frowned slightly.
“He’s always been a stubborn asshole but this is a new level. Sometimes I think that the Steve Rogers that was picked for getting the serum died in the ice.” He shrugged slightly before motioning to the entrance. “Enjoy your family get together.”
They entered and all but Hela missed the mischievous smirk on Loki’s face. While Tony and Hercules ordered drinks Hela turned to the trickster with a curious look.
“What are you planning?”
Loki’s smirk turned into a full on grin.
“The captain certainly despises me, what wouldn’t anger him more than me tempting his dear old friend?”
“I wish to bury those traitors but I have no desire to use Barnes in such a manner.”
Loki gave her a look.
“I find the man quite attractive and interesting. I did not mean I would simply use him as a means of revenge. Simply that I’m interested in him and it has the added benefit of also serving our purposes.”
“Very well, I wish you luck.”
“Why do I get the feeling you two are scheming something?” Tony said as they returned with drinks for them.
“I am a trickster Anthony, I’m always scheming.”
“Tis true.” Hercules agreed as he sat down.
They enjoyed their drinks as they spoke about the latest news with the avengers, work, or just whatever was going on. Loki was complaining about Asgard, Hercules was exclaiming Logan’s worthiness of standing as equals with gods, Hela was cursing a few people’s names who had been offended about Fenris’s presence. Tony complained about the board and how he was so tired of greedy old geezers. Logan stopped by their table to drop of more drinks but before he could step away Hercules pulled him close with a big grin on his face.
“Let go you idiot, I’m working.” Logan snarled at Hercules who only grinned and placed a kiss on his cheek before releasing him.
Logan was glaring but that was the norm for him.
“I’m surprised he hasn’t attempted to stab you with his claws.” Loki commented.
“He has tried. He has such a fierce spirit. No other is fit to be mine.”
“Can you stop waxing poetry about your boyfriend and drink?” Tony said pushing a bottle of beer into Hercules’s hands.
Loki laughed.
“You’re one to talk Anthony. Have you not fawned over the Wakandan prince? I’m quite certain I’ve heard you regal others of his intelligent mind and graceful movements fitting only of someone of royal birth.”
Tony glared at Loki.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
It seemed their topic of the evening was to tease each other on their choice and reason of their chosen lovers. When Tony realized that Loki wasn’t dating anyone he turned to the trickster.
“What about you Lokes? Anyone catch the attention of Asgard’s greatest trickster?”
Loki gave a mischievous smirk.
“Perhaps, I do have a taste for handsome, dangerous, and unique men. I do hope our dear Logan will put in a good word for me.”
Logan looked up and glared before calling for Bucky. The super soldier walked over to see what his boss wanted.
“Loki wants to fuck you. Either turn him away or accept, I ain’t going to be in the middle of this nonsense.” Logan growled out at the super soldier.
Bucky flushed as he turned to Loki shocked.
“I did not say I wished for only a single night with you. Perhaps you will accept joining me for dinner tomorrow?”
“This isn’t just a way for you to piss off Steve is it?”
Loki grinned.
“Just an added benefit I assure you.”
Bucky looked him over before he nodded.
“Fine, better treat me right.”
Loki looked quite pleased with himself as he watched Bucky walk away to return to his post.
“Well isn’t this nice. You have found yourself a fine lover.” Hela praised Loki.
“You have chosen a fine mate.” Hercules added in the praise, patting Loki with a heavy hand that was clearly a bit to strong judging by the wince the trickster gave.
“To finding love.” Tony raised his beer in a toast.
They all cheered their agreement and drank to that.
