The Beginning
There was once an empty universe with only one singular entity, God. One grand being, alone within the universe. In the beginning, it was rather entertaining to explore the endless universe but as the only entity there, he soon grew bored. To cure himself of his boredom, he created Earth; a magnificent planet which he had breathed life into. A planet filled with the purest waters, scattered with beautiful beasts, and valleys of hills and mountains. A planet that bloomed with life. A planet gifted with light and warmth. Earth.
With such a fine planet, God alone could not take care of it himself. He was determined to create a divine lifeblood, a near equal to him.
He fabricated a beautiful, divine, angel, born from the golden waters of the Seven Rings. He named this beloved angel Lucifer. God was so delighted with the result of Lucifer that he created six more almost equally majestic beings. He created the seven virtues, the seven princes of Heaven. His flawless creations.

In the clouds of Heaven, Lucifer was in a sacred temple, sculpted by his brother, Leviathan, the virtues of kindness. Lucifer was sitting on a step, studying the scroll in his lap. Lucifer’s youngest brother, Asmodeus, set foot into the temple and surveyed the room to find his eldest brother.
“Lucifer? Father is seeking our attendance at the front of the temple,” Asmodeus chirped.
“Thank you for informing me brother, tell father I will be there shortly,” Lucifer replied, rolling up the scroll.
Asmodeus and Lucifer walked to the front of the temple together, on the front, the rest of their brothers were already there. The two other brothers went over to join the rest, the only one missing was their heavenly father, God.
“Does someone know why we were all called?” Mammon asked curtly.
“It’s most likely going to be another rant about his new creations, I believed they were called humans,” Leviathan responded thoughtfully.
“Humans? That’s the first time I’m hearing of them,” Mammon scoffed.
“They’re like these tiny little midget people who live in caves, I heard they were supposed to look like us,” Satan said, snickering at the thought of miniature versions of the seven brothers running around on Earth.
“Ahem.”
Satan jumped- startled -and turned around, behind him, it was their father, God himself. The seven princes turned and bowed respectfully toward their heavenly father.
“Good morning my children.”
“Good morning father.”
The seven princes kept their heads down until God permitted them to raise. Satan nervously avoided eye contact with God while God stared fixedly at Satan. God detested it whenever someone spoke ill about one of his creations, specifically the humans. God had been working on them for hundreds of years, trying to perfect them. The seven have been told that the humans were meant to mirror them in both appearance and nature. The seven brothers had never seen the humans with their own eyes before but God had assured them that the humans were going to be one of the most wonderful creatures that would ever step foot on Earth. Lucifer and his brothers had heard this rant dozens of times already and as much as Lucifer trusted his father, he wasn’t too confident in the humans. Their father would go on and on about how many thousands of centuries it took to finally perfect Lucifer, Lucifer doubted that God was able to finish the humans in a few measly centuries.
“I assume you are all curious about the reason why I have summoned the seven of you so I will be direct. I have completed the human race and they have been designed to near perfection. They are an intelligent, social, and cultural form of life. I’m sure you’ll be just as pleased with them as I am. I daresay, they’re the most brilliant species the world has ever seen.” God said proudly.
“Do they surpass dolphins?” Mammon asked.
“That will soon be determined,” God replied vaguely.
“That means no,” Mammon whispered to Satan, causing Satan to snort in amusement.
“The humans have already arrived on Earth,” God added. The seven princes immediately turned their attention back to their father. God usually tends to wait a few days before releasing new creations into the wild, releasing new creations so soon was unheard of.
“They will be scattered across Earth, sustaining life in all seven continents. I thought it would be most fitting if the seven of you would watch over them, ” God continued, the brothers perking up at this mention. If their father didn’t already have their attention before, he most certainly did now. Before one of the brothers was able to voice their opinion, God was already handing out a stack of scrolls to each of them.
“I trust that you will take care of the humans my children,” God said, dropping a large stack of scrolls into Lucifer’s arms.
Once again, before any of the brothers were able to ask any questions, their father had disappeared leaving behind only a thin trail of mist. The seven princes were fumbling with their scrolls and skimming through them as quickly as possible. One would imagine, with how often God spoke of the humans, the brothers would know every detail about the humans up to this point but truth be told, it’s quite the opposite. Despite how frequently God would speak about the humans, he never provided any specific characteristics or aspects about them. More often than not, he would simply only ever whisper good things about them, never providing any solid information about them.
Lucifer had only just managed to collect himself when their father suddenly appeared in front of them again, causing Lucifer to nearly drop the writings. The brothers looked up at their father, visibly startled by his abrupt arrival as he had left moments before.
“There is one more additional rule I forgot to mention, listen carefully for this rule is the most important of them all,” God said. The seven brothers looked at each other and then back at their father with anticipation. God’s expression turned cold and he glowered at the brothers, his familiar comforting voice turning sharp as he spoke.
“Do not associate with the humans.”

Lucifer cushioned himself onto his bed with writings his brother- Mammon -had given him, writings about humans. Lucifer was curious about the humans, the writings his father had given him were wonderful, but they didn’t satisfy his curiosity. Mammon wasn’t too keen to learn about the humans so he donated his scrolls to Lucifer.
Each scroll the brothers received was different, each specifically containing information about human behavior and how it varies based on the environment it was raised, much like many animals.
Although the scrolls were far more helpful than any of God’s lectures, it still wasn’t enough. Lucifer’s curiosity peeked when God had forbidden the brothers not to affiliate with humans.
In all honesty, Lucifer had no interest in humans until God announced them to be off limits. Lucifer couldn’t quite understand why their father wouldn’t want them to associate with humans. If anything, Lucifer would have thought their father would have encouraged them to associate with humans considering how highly he speaks of them. With God prohibiting the brothers, Lucifer was only more intrigued. He spent the day pondering why God could possibly want to forbid the brothers from interacting with humans. Eventually, Lucifer couldn’t bear it any longer.
He was going to pay a visit to the humans.
