moth to a burning flame

"It's gonna be fun! You should hang out with more peoplee," was what Maple heard everyday. From Dee, from Phrog, from Kepler, even from Cassie.
It was getting annoying.

Maple might as well do something about it.

--
She heard from a friend online that there's this blind dating app that'll match you with people with similar interests. Like Omegle but blind, is how they described it.
Might as well give it ago. Maple didn't wanna look any anybody's face - they ended up being ugly most of the time.
So, she set up a profile. Put down her interests: Project Sekai, Faith, etc. Anything and everything she could remember.

Within moments of signing, she had already gotten a match. No name was attached. But they lived in the area, somewhere near Western Florida.
They were proactive in getting things set up.

When they finally met, things went downhill. This mysterious suitor was not as it seemed.

..Why?

Because she was Dizzi's evil twin sister. She threw dishes around the house, killed m—any, and HATED Dizzi with a burning passion.

So why did Maple find herself more attracted to her?

Every time Dizzi’s evil twin sister would do something—-well, evil—-Maple found themself wanting to know more. What was it that made her do such criminal acts? What made her turn out this way?

And how come Dizzi’s evil twin sister never harmed him?

Maple would find out. She decided this, walking up to their meet-up spot. It felt weird knowing he was meeting Dizzi’s evil twin sister before Dizzi, but Dizzi was in North Carolina doing straight people shit they didn’t care about.

“Why?” Was the first thing out of Maple’s mouth. They didn’t even mean to say it.

She felt a rough, calloused hand caress her cheek. A warm smile, the first she’d ever seen from her.

“Because.”
They stopped themself in their tracks. "Well.. that I can't tell you about." They both gazed into each others eyes, though Maple was the first one to look away. A couple seconds flew by before Maple looked back into the other's eyes. Right in that moment Maple found their answer.
