Chapter 21
“Serena, where are you? Raymond called out.
“I'm here Dad.”Serena said as she gently led Bernie back down the stairs.
“Sorry, have I interrupted something.”
“Erm you might have.”Serena blushed as Bernie squeezed her hand. “What's the matter anyway?”
“It's just been on the radio that Shannon has been arrested. Have you heard about it?”
“Yes erm we were there.”
“What do you mean you were there?”
“Shannon was on the roof and she threatened to jump if I didn't go and see her.”
“Please tell me you didn't go.”
“I did.”
“Bernie, how could you let her go? You told me you keep Serena safe.” Raymond said angrily as he walked into the kitchen, before giving Bernie a chance to answer.
“DON'T YOU DARE BLAME BERNIE “ Serena shouted as she followed her Dad into the kitchen. “I'm a grown woman not a child. Anyway Bernie didn't want me to go. I wanted to do it Dad.”
“But why sweetheart after everything that women put you through?”
“Because I wanted to show her that I wasn't scared of her anymore. That part of my life is over. I'm now with a woman who I love so much and that I know will never hurt me Dad.” Serena said as she held Bernie's hand.
“You know I won't hurt you ,baby. I love you.”
“I love you Bernie.” Serena smiled as she kissed Bernie softly. “I think you owe Bernie an apology don't you Dad.”
“I'm sorry Bernie.”
“It's OK Raymond.”
“Right then I'll let you get back to whatever I interrupted.” Raymond smirked as he kissed Serena on the cheek and left the house.
Are you ok?”Serena asked as her Dad left.
Yes I'm OK.”
“So erm shall we go upstairs then?”
“Are you sure you still want to?”
“Of course I'm sure. I love you and I want you so much.” Serena pulled Bernie's hand and practically dragged her upstairs. Slamming her bedroom door shut and pushing Bernie up against the door. "My god your Gorgeous” Serena said as she began to unbutton Bernie’s shirt.
“I want you so much Serena” Bernie pulled Serena’s top over her head before picking her up and laying her on the bed. In a few moments they were both stark naked and rolling around the bed. Serena kissed her way down Bernie's body and put her hand between Bernie’s legs before entering her.
Oh my Christ that feels so good. Please Serena please don't stop, baby.” Serena smiled as she added another finger before putting her mouth to Bernie's clip and sucking hard.
FUCK I'M GOING TO COME.” Bernie screamed as her whole body shook. Serena laid on top of Bernie and buried her face into Bernie's neck as Bernie held her tightly. “I love you so much Serena.” Bernie cried.
“I love you. Hey, don't cry.” Serena lifted her head to look at Bernie. “I didn't hurt you did I?”
“No, of course you haven't ,baby. I'm just so happy.”
“So am I. You make me happy, Bernie Wolfe.” Serena smiled as she kissed Bernie softly.
“I'm about to make you a whole lot happier.” Serena squealed as Bernie flipped her over and made love to her.
“Oops sorry” Bernie said as her belly rumbled, as the pair of them snuggled up in bed.
“I think we better get up and get you fed. Do you fancy some scrambled eggs on toast?”
“That would be lovely.”
“Come on then shift yourself.” Serena kissed Bernie as she lifted the quilt and got out of bed. “I've got a spare dressing gown if you want to lend it?”
“Please.”
“Here you go.”Serena opened the wardrobe door and pulled the dressing gown out.
“Thanks baby.” Bernie got out of bed and put on the dressing gown before following Serena downstairs. “Do you want me to do anything?”
“You could set the table if you want.”
They soon were sitting at the table eating their meal in silence. “Are you ok? You've gone quiet.”
“I'm fine. In fact I'm more than fine.” Serena stood up, walked round the table and sat herself on Bernie's knee. “I can't ever remember being this happy. And that's all thanks to you. I love you so much, Berenice Wolfe.”
“I love you too Serena Campbell.” Bernie said as they rubbed noses and kissed each other lovingly.
