In which Peter gets angry over nothing
Peter was livid. For three days he had been at war. It was getting very tiring, but he refused to give up. He would not let this awful troll of a person go unchecked and unchallenged. No one roasted Mr. Stark the way this person had without facing Peter’s full unleashed rath. Peter had made the punk’s tweets a priority. The jackass would post something hateful and derogatory, and peter would drop what he was doing and shoot something right back at them. Every day it was something new and more hateful, but at the same time the person seemed to know there was line. He would whale on Mr. Stark’s most recent outfit captured by the paparazzi but he never attacked Mr. Stark’s personality. He would make fun of his sunglasses, but would never challenge the man’s morality like Peter had seen some people do. Peter knew he shouldn't get worked up. There were a lot people saying a lot worse, but Peter had diced to make changing this person’s mind his personal mission.
Peter was failing… miserably.
Peter’s phone buzzed revealing yet another hurtful tweet. Peter had had it. He marched to the lab where Mr. Stark was working. Peter slammed his phone down on the counter in front of Mr. Stark. The man looked up in surprise, he must have not noticed Peter entering the lab.
“Read that!” Peter demanded, “This isn't okay!”
Mr. Stark glanced at the phone, and a smile cracked across his face, his lip quivered and he burst out laughing. Peter was mortified.
“How can be be laughing?!” Peter blustered.
Mr. Stark finally regained his composure.
“That’s an old friend of mine Pete,” Mr. Stark chuckled.
“An old friend of yours??? Mr. Stark he’s younger than me!” Peter exclaimed.
Mr. Stark just nodded.
“He helped me out a good many years ago when he was like 10,” Mr. Stark explained. “He opened that account to poke fun at me. He knows that I find his “insults” hilarious and he post everyday so if I am having a bad day his outrageous quipps will cheer me up.”
Peter open and closed his mouth a few times. He didn't know what to say.
“You two should meet sometime. I think it would be hilarious,” Mr. Stark laughed and went back to his work.
Peter felt a little embarrassed about getting so worked up over nothing. He went to his room to pout.
