Prologue (Going through motions)
SAM knew there was no reason for her to still be staring at the road, Tee and Jim just told her that Mon already flew to England, she's not coming back, she wasn't there for a holiday, she went there to forget about them, to start a new life without her.
"Sam," she looked to her side, Tee leaned in on the open window of Duanpen. "I have to take Jim home now, we have to go, will you be fine?"
No, she wanted to answer her that, who would be? When the only person who brings joy and colour to her life is already five thousand eight hundred forty-seven miles away from her? But who is to blame when this was entirely on her, due to her lack of courage and indecisiveness that cost her the only love she's ever known, she had hurt the woman she loves that she chose to leave even her own family and friends just to be away from all this mess.
So no, she doesn't know if she's fine or if she ever will be, but instead, she gave Tee a nod, her friend stared at her, and she knew she's feeling sorry for her, but she never said anything, Yuki was standing beside her, she looks sad, and it's like she doesn't want to be there any longer, she knows she's mad about her best friend but at the same time disappointed with her, still she bowed her head to her before saying goodbye.
And she was left there, alone again, she watches those planes in front of her wondering if Mon is in one of them, there's a tiny hope in her, but it feels like it's slowly dying. She wants to go to Mon's parents and ask them, but they didn't know anything about the relationship they had, and what if they found out that she's the reason why their only daughter is now out of the country?
When her grandmother allowed her to finally be happy with who she wants, the first person she thought of was Mon, it was and always will be Mon, but now that Mon is no longer here, she doesn't know what else to do, what's the next step, how will she get to her and tell her all these things?
I have to do better, she thought. She knew there are still a lot of things she needs to fix, first, she has to come clean to Mon's parents and tell them the truth and ask for their forgiveness, second, she needs to fix a lot of things in Diversity, and third she needs to compose herself, fix things with her life so when Mon sees her, she doesn't have to deal with all the shits she has, so that when she sees Mon, they could just be together with no messed up family issues, fiancé or toxicity between them. She needs to fix everything for when Mon comes back, she doesn't have to go through any more of what she's gone through the past few months they've been together.
Once she has everything under her control, she'll fly to England, search for Mon, ask for her hand, bring her back to Thailand and marry her, and they would live freely, happily, and she'll make it up to Mon for the rest of their lives.
Sam smiled with a renewed hope in her heart, she'll do just that, this time no one will be able to stop her from being with the love of her life.
