The Kingdoms Newest Heros!
"Everyone! Please welcome our newest heroes of The Mushroom Kingdom! Mario and Luigi!"
The crowd cheered as the two heroes smiled and waved at everyone. It was just a week ago that the brothers saved Princess Peach and her kingdom from ultimate destruction by the King of The Koopas. The kingdom was finally at peace and now had a (forced) alliance with the Koopa Kingdom. As the brother smiled and waved, the princess of the kingdom walked next to Mario and held his hand! Mario, a bit surprised, smiled at the princess and continued to look at the crowd. Luigi on the other hand slowly placed his hand down and walked behind the two and walked towards the kingdom. Luigi sighed as he finally got the chance to regain his breath. All that attention hurt his head a little too much and would rather help the people inside the kingdom instead of getting the attention.
“Luigi! Shouldn’t you be out there right now?” One of the mushroom people walked up to him with concern. Luigi smiled at them and explained his situation which only made the other smile and understand.
“Well if that's the case do you need anything?”
“Actually, I wanted to see if you guys needed help setting up for tonight's celebration. You know another helping hand is useful!”
The other mushroom thought for a moment until their eyes lit up and faced Luigi. “Do you want to help the others outside? We’re pretty much done inside, but outside still needs a lot of work.” With that Luigi took the task and headed outside. He could still hear the mushroom people cheer from the other side of the castle which only made him smile even more.
'If only I could see you again.' Luigi thought, his mind bringing him back a little before returning to the mushroom kingdom.
He was captured and placed in one of the rooms of the Koopa Kingdom. He was there for a month. Mario was afraid that his brother was in danger or even worse killed in that month, but was relieved when he saw his brother was safe and sound after a month. During that time, Luigi was getting along with a certain king, which he didn’t want to admit, but he liked the king. More than just a friend, that was for sure.
He honestly didn’t know how to tell if it was love or just his brain making up those feelings but he was liking every moment he spent with the king.
'What is wrong with me?! I shouldn’t be involved with him! … but…'
Before he continued his own thoughts, one of the toads ran up to him, giving him a big hug. He flinched and looked down, noticing it was Toadette who gave him a hug.
“Luigi! Just in time bff!”
“Toadette! I came here to help outside, but it's great seeing you as well.” He hugged her back. After a bit, they let go and Toadette explained what they had done and what they had to finish before the big event. Luigi took note on what he had to do and was focused the entire time.
“... And that's all! Any question Mr. Hero?” Toadette teased as Luigi got flustered by the comment.
“Hey! And no, I got this under control. Let's finish this up before the party even starts!”

“King Bowser, now that the princess and the other kingdoms have made you sign the treaty, what will you do?”
Bowser, only sighed. It was the only thing he could do really. After being defeated not once, but twice he gave up on marrying the princess and signed the papers. He had other plans now and it was to focus on his children and the koopas.
“We will continue this way for now. I will get my revenge, but for now, let's keep it ‘friendly’ with the other kingdoms.”
With that, the koopa nodded and left the throne room. Bowser looked at the walls, then outside the windows. All he could see was the lava and dark colors of his kingdom. He really wanted to change, but he felt rage at the same time.
He growled. Before he could get out of his chair, the doors were slammed open, which made him jump a little, but quickly noticed it was his kids who broke into the room.
“My lovely children, what are you guys doing barging in like that?! What do we do when we want to get in a room?!”
“We knock and ask if we can come in.” The koopalings all sighed in sync. Before they were going to continue to get lectured, Ludwig, the eldest son, ran to his dad and gave him the light pink envelope. Bowser looked confused.
“What is this?”
“Princess Peach! She invited you to the celebration!” Junior
Bowser frowned and saw the envelope was already open. He assumed it was one of his children who opened it and took out the letter that was written inside. He read it and Junior was right. It was a letter from the princess. It said
Dear King Bowser,
As the princess of the mushroom kingdom, I invite you and your family to be a part of our celebration of peace and alliances for our kingdoms. Although we were enemies for decades, I would like to start this celebration with getting to know each other and hopefully becoming great friends in the future. I hope you join us this evening at the castle. Mario and Luigi will be expecting your visit.
Love, Princess Peach
Bowser's face began to heat up as he read the name of a human. For once it wasn’t the princess who made him happy, but rather a shy and friendly green plumber he had spoken with in the past.
“Kids, we're going to the Mushroom Kingdom!”
