Ah, Music - A Magic Beyond All We Do Here
Summary
A collection of drabbles (one per chapter), each inspired by a song and based on a challenge set by Severitus812: press shuffle on your playlist, start writing when the song starts, and stop writing when it ends. Tags in each A/N at the start of each chapter/drabble. Chapters named by fandom and pairing so you can skip to your favourites. These were intended to be within the Harry Potter fandom, but the time pressure and the music changed things… I have characters and pairings and fandoms here that I never expected, including a couple that I've never written before and rarely or never read! Might have to write more of these, but this is the initial 10 for the challenge!

Raven stood and put her shirt back on, then reached for her brace and strapped it into place. Kyle, now used to this, simply watched her, hands behind his head and the muscles of his chest sharp and defined in the low light.

I wonder if Marcus is that ripped. The thought crept in before Raven could stop it. She shook her head angrily. It doesn’t matter, she reminded herself. She is with him because he doesn’t interfere. She left me because I tried to stop her taking the pills. If he doesn’t know, or doesn’t help - well.

She strode out of Kyle’s room without a backwards glance. He might be desirable to most people, but for her, he was the opposite of what she craved - the softness and gentle touches of her Abby. The way she had been before she started self-medicating, before she had started needing more, and faster, and harder; before nothing ever felt like quite enough for her.

She couldn’t have the Abby she fell in love with. Having this Abby was worse than not having her at all. If that’s what Marcus went for, he was welcome to her.

Raven would be there when the pills ran out and it all fell apart.
