A million dreams
After some debate they finally decided on pancakes for breakfast.
Emilie looked at the three stacked pancakes and gulped. She had not eaten pancakes in a long time and she was barrley fed at all at hydra because they just hooked her up with fluids.
So she was not really sure if she wanted this. She attempted to cut her pancake and failed miserably.
She asked for the syrup in slovakian by accident and flushed in shame and guilt when the twins looked up at her. Great her morning could not get worse
But it could, and it does.
Steve and bucky were talking and natasha and tony were eying her carefully. Then natasha spoke in her im-not-playing-no-games voice
“So emilie, can you tell us exactly how you control your powers?”
and emilie flushed red with stage fright and she turned her head to loki who was grinning. The same thing kept repeating in her head.
Pleasedon’taskmetoshowyoupleasedontaskmetoshowyou...
Sadly wanda must have picked up on this because she nudged loki's shoulder and he just smirked.
“Why don't you show them emilie.” smirking and i flush an even deeper red.
Loki knew i had stage fright and i only sang for him, frigga, odin and sometimes thor.
Not even the twins had heard her sing before. So now she was asked to do it in front of all the avengers. She didn't even have a melody until…
“Well if it's going to help what do you need?” she looked nervous and loki whispered to her and pointed at the piano. As she got up everyone looked startled but still intrigued.
Thor and loki were beaming and wanda and pietro looked confused.
She walked over to the piano and sat on the bench, it was a beautiful piano and had an engraved name in it, peter.
She gave a heavy sigh and pressed on a key to see if the note was right, she then looked back to see everyone look back at her. She gulped again and then heard thor's booming voice.
“It is alright you are amazing melody, you will be alright.”
everyone stopped and stared, god of thunder why.
She sighed and started to play.
Then she started to sing

When she stopped everyone was staring in awe. She got up and took an extra dorky bow. Then thor and loki started to clap. So did everyone else.
She felt relatively calm after that.

When loki asked her to show them tony had no idea what was coming. He thought she was going to do something like make another purple explosion but then she started to walk to the piano.
Huh, now that was new. He saw her looking anxious and nervous but surely it wasn’t that embarrassing. Then she did the thing no one thought she would do.
She was singing.
Her voice sounded like an angel and was extremely beautiful. When she finished everyone was shocked.
She did an extra dorky bow like peter and as she did, peter blushed.
Then she sat down at the table. It was too quiet so clint did something so, so stupid. He threw some food at bucky and tony, and it became a food fight. No that wasn't right
It was a food war.
Everyone was against everyone and it took 45 minutes till friday alerted pepper. It was really fun. Then everyone went to go get ready for the day when tony stopped her. She flinched. Then he started
“Emilie, i want you to know that i am sorry for not trusting you and putting you in those restraints. It was inhuman. I am sorry.”
she nodded and started going to her room. Tony shrugged it off and headed into his room.
It was going to be hard for her to trust them but he felt they were off to a good start.

Since he moved in after may died, peter was the youngest in the tower. Shuri sometimes visited but even she was older than him by a year and a half.
Then emilie came along, and she was 5 months younger than him. He wa happy now, he wouldn't be treated like the youngest anymore.
She seemed calm so he walked with her down to the guest room she was staying in and he started to talk.
“So um… your really good at singing.” she blushed and smiled at him. But she stayed silent.
God he was just like her when he moved in a couple months ago.
Peter had stayed silent for a month, only talking when asked a question.
Then tony got him the piano.
He would play it for hours and he would hum to songs.
Tony would smile and ask FRIDAY to record it because honestly, it was adorable. Then not even a week later he started to talk again, be spiderman again and more importantly to everyone, peter parker again.
Peter had spaced out so emilie tried to get his attention by snapping her fingers.
He quickly snapped out of it and kept walking.
Once they were there she went in and waved goodbye.
He turned back to see loki in the hallway. Probably to go check up on her. He turned away and headed to the bedroom to get changed.

When it was finally time to go to bed after the long day, emilie had said good night to loki and thor and she slipped away into her room.
She was looking for her clothes when she felt something soft. She pulled it out to see a white, long oversized shirt and purple striped pajama pants.
She studied the articles of clothing until she heard footsteps in the hallway and to see a familiar metal armed assassin in the doorway.
“There are called pajamas, don't worry there aren't to torture you.” she sighed. Any time she had messed up on a mission (which was only twice when she was only training to be an assassin)
she would get a pair of soft pajamas and be dunked in water for a very long time or even set on fire some times. She hated it more than anything.
She knew bucky back then, even though he didn't know her. But he knew that she had gone through the exact same stuff.
She stayed silent and then bucky ushered her to the bathroom. She was very confused.
He picked her up and placed her in the shower. she felt her face go scarlet when he did this.
Yes, HYDRA had a communal shower for all the assassins but it doesnt change the fact that he wasn't brainwashed right now. No he had full control.
Bucky then went out of the room and then in comes wanda. Who looks happy but tired at the same time.
“You need to take a shower em, you probably haven't had one in like a year.” she grabbed a bar of soap and pointed to emily's clothes and she started to strip them off. She was so embarrassed now.
Wand turned on the shower and told emilie to use the soap and rub it all along my body. That was so stupid! I knew how to clean myself! Then she stepped outside the door and shut it. Emilie did what she was told.
After 10 minutes she was out of the bathroom and in her room in the bed with her pajamas on. She collapsed into the bed and wanda hugged her goodnight.
After she left emilie finally shut her eyes and was fast asleep.
“No stop! Please!”
Loki woke up to hear screaming next to his room.
Emilie.
He burst into her room to see her sat upright i her bed and silently crying. He knew exactly what this was
Nightmares.
“It's alright, it's not real, hush now.”
She kept crying though. But because he had spent two years with her he knew what to to.
There was a puff of green magic and out steps a black kitten with green eyes. Loki stepped into her lap and cuddled with her until she was too sleepy to do anything. Then he turned back into his asgardian form and brought her to the bed. He always took note of how she looked in every moment of the day.
When she was awake she looked 14.
When she was wearing a dress she looked 16.
When she was asleep she looked 8.
He had forgotten what she looked like for a long time. But he was used to having someone young around him.
But He still remembered when he had first gotten to met with her sleepy form
It was the middle of the night and he heard crying.
He went to the dungeon to hear it coming from emilie’s cell.
He dashed down the hall to her cell to she her in her bed curled up in a ball.
He shut off her cell and walked towards her. She was still new to asgard, him and the cell so she flinched when he put his hand on her shoulder.
Eventually she hugged him and fell asleep in his arms. She was only 8 at the time but she looked like a 5 year old. He put her back under the covers and left. He felt something that he had never felt before. Paternal love. Even though he had many children he never really loved them. But he felt that even though he had only known her for a couple days, he would die for her.
He would kill for her
He would do anything in his power to keep her safe.
And yet he had still failed her when she was taken by hydra.
He went back into his own room and thought about all the times on asgard with her. Then thor stepped into his room.
“Brother what are you still doing awake, it is time for rest.” thor boomed.
“Emilie had a nightmare. I was helping her get back to sleep.”
“Ah, so… is she asleep now?”
Loki just stared at his brother. Then thor sighed and left.
Finally he was left alone. And as his thoughts consumed him, he fell asleep.
