3. silent is good but it's killing me
Umji was just silent, she didn't utter a word from her mouth. On the other hand, Sinb had been watching the silent girl, there was a lump in her heart when she saw her like that.
Sowon took a deep breath when she saw Umji who was still silent and staring ahead with empty eyes. There was no emotion in it, not only Sowon, the others also noticed this. They don't know what happened to make Umji become like this.
Yerin approached Sinb who was busy looking at Umji who was silent at the end of the room. "What's wrong with her?" Her sudden question caught the black haired girl off guard.
"Ah?" That was all that came out of Sinb's mouth, she seemed too confused and shocked to answer Yerin's question. This of course made the older girl chuckle, even as the others' attention fell on them.
Sowon massaged her temples, and sighed again. She really couldn't stop thinking about Sinb and Yerin who still had time to joke around.
Sinb glared at Yerin who was still laughing, she was really annoyed with the older girl. Why did she have to ask that when she was focused?
"Ahhh! Unnie!!" Sinb whined in annoyance because Yerin kept imitating her being caught of guard.
Umji, who had been silent, finally stood up and walked away from there. Everyone was immediately stunned, they could only stare at the girl's back as she went far away.
"What's wrong with her? I'm confused!" Yuju said, who was starting to get frustrated with Umji's attitude which had changed 360 degrees from usual. She looks like she's going to explode if the younger girl ignores them again!!
"I don't know," Eunha said, who was also surprised by the attitude of their favorite Maknae. "Maybe she's in a bad mood?"
"Let me check on her..." Sinb said who stood up and walked towards Umji's room. She didn't hear a sound from there and only silence.
On the other hand, Umji sat with her back to the door. Leaning her tired back, it felt very tiring.
She looked up and stared at the empty ceiling, she didn't know how to explain her feelings. She liked silence but it was killing her, it was suffocating her like a useless person.
Sinb who was outside Umji's room knocked softly on the front door, hoping not to startle the younger girl.
A soft knock on the door reduced the silence in Umji's room, she smiled faintly. "Sinb.. are you outside?" She said softly, her voice almost inaudible because it was too soft.
Sinb knocked on the door softly. "Yewon-ah... can I usually come in?" Her soft voice was like a melody to Umji's ears, she could hear that beautiful voice every day.
The silence in her room was still palpable but more bearable, "Yewon-ah.. my baby.. can I come in?" Again, Sinb's soft voice, a voice that made her almost broke into tears.
Umji stood up and opened the door, she saw Sinb looking at her worried. The girl wiped a few tears from her eyes and kissed her cheek.
"Sinb.." Umji said almost sounding fragile, she couldn't stop herself from hugging Sinb with all her feelings. Embracing those feeling deep inside her.
Sinb stroked Umji's back, and nodded her head, as if understanding the younger girl's means. It hurt to see her like this, their cute and cheerful Maknae looked so vulnerable right now.
She knew Umji was a closed person, a girl who kept those bad feelings deep inside herself. It's really tiring, isn't it? She didn't understand why the younger girl cared so much about others instead of herself.
Umji almost couldn't hold back her tears, in the end she broke into tears, and Buried her face in Sinb's shoulder, letting the tears wet the dancer's clothes.
Sinb's heart ached to see Umji crying in front of her, she knew how much the young girl liked to be quiet but she knew it was killing her too. It made her feel suffocated.
Sinb cupped Umji's face, letting their eyes meet. "I love you." Those three words left her mouth, which left the younger girl stunned by the sudden confession. But there was happiness when she heard it from Sinb.
Umji smiled and captured Sinb's lips, letting her feel the dancer's soft lips. The lips he had always loved were on his.
Umji pulled away. "I love you too..." she answered in a soft voice, yet sounded fragile. Sinb smiled broadly, feeling incredibly happy because the younger girl answered her confession.
"Shh, now I'm here," Sinb said shepishly. "Can we cuddle? I would love to hug my baby Umji."
Umji giggled, and nodded her head slowly, letting Sinb into her room.
The girl who was quiet and lonely just moments ago finally smiled, Sinb pulled Umji into her arms, letting the younger girl seek comfort from her.
"I love you, Eunbi..." Umji whispered while calling Sinb by her real name. "I'm happy to have you.."
Sinb smiled and kissed Umji's forehead, letting the girl feel her affection. "I love you too.."
