Chapter 3
"What beings you here today Kel?" The blue haired lady asks. "Oh by the way, my name is Tina!" "Tina?" Kel's a wonders a bit. "That's a pretty name... I guess." Kel responds. Tina smiles. "So, back in track, why are you here?" She asks. "Oh!!Uh,I wanted to know if there's any more stuff you should tell me!" Tina's eyebrow raised. "Oh!! You're right Kel! Such a clever little boy"
It felt weird to be called that. Clever, and little. "So,although I'm a powerful being, that could do many, many, things. There IS consequences." Kel felt a little shiver. "Is something going to happen to you!?" Tina chuckled. "Me? Oh please! It's never gonna affect me! But you." She went silent.
"Woah, woah, woah! Are you saying that that I'M paying for YOUR actions?!!" Tina couldn't even answer because, suddenly, Kel was in a pitch black room.
"Shit." Kel felt like it was harder to breathe. Then he saw a creature. No, a monster. Kel couldn't help but run. All he could do is run. "Tina!! Tina help!! Please!! Anyone! Someone!!! Heeelp!!!" No one heard Kel.
He woke up in a cold sweat. It was morning already. "Kel! Breakfast!!" It was Hero. "Uh- Coming!!" Kel quickly got ready and headed downstairs. "Morning, Kel!! I made some eggs" Hero got a plate for Kel. "Here! Dig in"
Kel felt a little sentimental. It's been a while since he's tried Hero's eggs. The best eggs ever.
"Uh Kel,aren't you going to eat now?" Kel had just realized he's just been staring at his food. "Oh!! Yeah of course!! See! NOMONMNOMN" Kel started devouring his meal. Hero chuckled. "Oh! Shouldn't we be heading to school?" Kel asked. "Oh! School got cancled. "
"What?!" Kel felt like he was in absoulute disbelief. "Yeah! I don't know why though, maybe Aubrey does. She seems to always know stuff." Kel heard a groan come out of his mouth. "Awh, c'mon Kel!! Just because you and aubrey bicker, dosen't mean you aren't friends!!" Kel knew that. Sometimes he didn't.
Hero and Kel ate, talking about random things, like how Hero was going to have a ceremony, but it's probably canceled now. The table was unusually quiet. Probably because Kel wasn't talking much. He was too stuck in his thoughts. (What was that creature.. Is there a way to stop it? Will I die if it captures me? Will I see it again?)
Kel didn't remember finishing his plate. Kel didn't remember putting it away. He didn't remember putting on his socks and shoes and leaving with Hero. But he does remember arriving at the tree house. It's been a while, since he's been there. Kel suddenly felt really sleepy. He just ignored it.
All they were doing was talking. But then the topic of the school came up. "So yeah, the school got burned down!!" Aubrey exclaimed. "No way!!" Everyone was in shock. "I just thought someone got in a accident!" Mari said. "Yeah, I would've thought so to! But do you know what's even crazier!!" "What!! What!!" Kel asked. "There's a suspect!!!" Kel and sunny tilted their head sideways.
"I think her name was..... Tina!!" Kel froze. (Tina!? Why??"
"Wow, that's crazy. I wonder why anyone would do that!!" Basil mumbled. "I'm surprised it wasn't Kel!" Aubrey claimed. They all turned to Kel of there was an reaction. But Kel wasn't paying attention. He was too busy thinking. Thinking if the Tina that burned down the building was his brain Tina. Thinking of why would Tina do it if was her. Thinking if she did it because of him. Thinking if anyone got hurt and it would be all Kel's fault-
"Kel!!" Kel's head shot up. It was Mari who shouted. "Oh-uh-Yeah??" (She's probably worried about that other night at the docks) "Are you alright?" Aubrey joined in with Mari. "I mean, I usually don't care, but like, you didn't even argue back at me!" Aubrey pouts. "It's not fun to make fun of you, and you don't get stupidly angry!! Where's the fun in that!!" Aubrey yelled.
"Sorry!! Heheh!!" They just continued talking, Mari brought out cookies, so everyone just dug in. It's been almost 5 years since he's tasted these. He never thought he'd taste them again. Kel joined in the conversations this time. He thought he might as well enjoy it before trying to decide how to stop everything that'll happen.
