Sent Out To Sea
Shizuoka Prefecture
Musutafu
5:00 PM
Crammed together in the HPSC Arena, and "safe", people ate what little food they had brought with them. It then took all of 30 minutes before someone got into a fight and it escalated to Quirk use. One firey outburst resulted in a literal fucking explosion. Thank god for the 2 meter flash flooding that swept through the Shizuoka prefecture. Wait. Uh-oh.
Everyone in Apartment 443 was asleep. There was no lighting - after all it was abandoned. As everyone slept soundly, the floodwaters began to uproot the building - and many others - from it's foundation. The building was all of 2,000 meters from the beach, which was only 20 meters long. Like thousands of other seaside buildings, they were swept out to sea. The apartment was lucky - unlike the remains of the HPSC Arena, it floated through the choppy waves and out of the typhoon range. If anyone was to look outside, they would see the stars glowing in the sky, beacons of light and hope. As the apartment building floated on, a riot began to overtake Japan. Because of the massive casualties - whether it from people who were turned away or the fact that the Arena was completely wrecked in the fighting, Twitter arguments and news reports/articles spread all over the world. And back in nowhere, our group of poor characters is just awakening.
Kaina Tsutsumi | Lady Nagant
7:30 AM
Kaina had been dreaming that she was still a Pro Hero and people weren't calling her a villain for her Quirk when she awoke. The sky was bright blue and a few puffy white clouds drifted across it. Huh? Usually, she heard the laughter of people on the beach and traffic and construction work. And she couldn't see any other apartment buildings, even though their blocky shadows towered in her room. She sat up, stretching. She'd "borrowed" some pallets and nails and made a bed frame. The futon and blankets were stolen, like most things in her room. Whatever. Did they take those other buildings down? She should have know this wasn't permament - "What the fuuuuck?"
She couldn't see ANYTHING but water. Stretching out into the horizon. "What the fuck." She repeated, because really, what is going on. The typhoon. She must have been washed out into the sea, like most of the buildings drifting around her. Okay. Think. She had plenty of food and water. There were more buildings that looked like stores. She could find a way to reach them, and wherever she washed up she'd be fine. Maybe this was a hallucination. Maybe she'd gone crazy from being locked up in Tartarus. Slipping out of her 4th floor room, she tiptoed down the stairwell on bare feet - if there were people here she'd be captured for sure - so she just had to make it to the lobby. The bottom two steps were covered in water, so she dipped a toe in. Nope. Real. She scooped some of it up and sipped it - saltwater - and glanced around. None of the buildings were too far, but she didn't feel like swimming now. Maybe this was a dream. Maybe she should go back to sleep - "Hey, aren't you Lady Nagant?"
Whipping around, she activated her Quirk on instinct. It was the bunny hero, Miruko. "Relax! Jeez! What are you woah what the hell?" Miruko pushed past Kaina and peered through the door. "Did the typhoon...." Kaina just nodded. A Pro Hero was here, for some reason, and hadn't captured her yet. Maybe there was a slim chance of escapeing. Miruko whipped around. "What are you doing here?" Kaina crossed her arms. "What are you?" Just then, two pairs of feet clomped into the lobby. "Kaina Tsutsumi. Good to see you."
Nobody used her name - her real name - exception of... she glanced at her arm. No longer a rifle, it was an arm. Oh shit.
Toga Himiko | Crazy
7:55 AM
"You're dead!" Toga ducked behind the kitchen counter as Dabi's blue flames licked the air above her. "What did I do?! They're just CHIPS, Dabi! Get over it!" He dashed around the kitchen counter and down the foyer to the hallway. "If you make me chase you out of the fucking apartment Toga I swear to-" Toga clutched the bag of chips to his chest tighter and sprints down the stairwells, giggling. "I know all the hidi- woooahh what?" Toga stopped dead in his tracks. Pro Heroes Eraserhead, Present Mic, Miruko & Ex-Pro Hero Lady Nagant are talking, sitting at the couches on one side of the lobby. That, and outside of the doors is simply open sea. "Toga you assho...oh." Dabi paused in the doorway, glancing from the glass double doors to the Heroes sitting on the couch. "No, it's not a dream. Welcome to island life." Lady Nagant said sarcastically. "But this isn't an island..."
