Whisper fell into Tangle's hug, throwing her arms over Tangle's shoulders as they stood together.
"I love you." Said Whisper, a goofy, sweet smile on her now-red face as she leaned on Tangle, knocking foreheads together.
"Love you too." Replied Tangle, her fur rubbing against Whisper's head as she held her, blushing.
"And nothing can ever change that." Continued Tangle, moving to give Whisper a kiss-
And she did, Whisper freezing up for a moment, processing what just happened-
"Woah! Looks like Whisper.exe has stopped." Tangle said jokingly as she stopped kissing Whisper, who looked absolutely lovestruck.
Whisper didn't reply- she only hugged Tangle as tight as she could.
Because, finally, despite everything-
She's got a friend.
Someone she can love, without worrying about them getting hurt.
Finally, they can be safe together.
Even if it was just for this fleeting moment,
Whisper felt the happiest she'd ever felt.
