New Life - Take 4
Lexi's POV
I rolled over in bed and groaned as I blinked the sleep out of my eyes and stretched my arms over my head. I frowned as I felt the satin sheets on my skin, as this was not what I had expected. I shot up in bed and stared around me in confusion, but as I became aware of my surroundings I recognized the view of the living room as Lucifer's suite above Lux. I frowned as my brain caught up on recent events as I swung my legs off the bed and stood up, pleased to find that I was fully healed, but sorrowful as I remembered clearly the reason why I had needed healing in the first place. The image of Tony's repulser blasting me across the room and the feel of Steve's shield slamming into my body filled my mind and I shook my head trying to focus on something more positive.
"Glad to see you are awake, my little dove," I heard Lucifer say as I walked into the living room. I stared at him and Loki, who was chilling on the couch.
"Hey! I'm not little!" I complained as I threw myself down next to Loki.
"You're 5"2," Lucifer replied as he smirked and stalked over to join us. I stuck my tongue out at him but it only caused him to chuckle. I rolled my eyes and turned to stare at Loki.
"Um...you aren't planning to try and take over the world again, are you?" I asked nervously. I really didn't think I had it in me to jump straight into another battle.
"No, kitten, one of the conditions of you helping me escape was that I promise to help keep the peace on midguard like my brother does," Loki answered.
"What are you talking about? I didn't help you escape!" I exclaimed, tilting my head in confusion.
"Well it was you, but not you. A version of yourself from another universe," he tried to explain. I stared at the two men before me as they tried to explain to me the multiverse theory and told me about how the doppelgänger version of me had come to them and told them to rescue me from Stark Tower.
"So, so you're saying there is multiple universes out there and therefore multiple versions of me walking around?" I clarified after they had finished their explanations.
"Yes, and no," Loki said glancing over at Lucifer.
"What do you mean by that?" I said tilting my head.
"Well, the other version of you said that you and her were the last two in existence. The other doppelgängers have all been killed off by now or merged together until there was only you and her left," Lucifer said as he stared at me.
"Wait, what do you mean 'merged'?" I asked, not liking the sound of that.
"Well, she said that the multiverse can only handle one version of you existing in the end so at some point the two of you will merge into one person, she didn't really go into specifics since we were in a rush to come save you but she did make a point to say that you and her would be crossing paths sometime soon and that when you did, there would only be one left by the end..." Loki said, looking at me with worry. I mulled this over, not liking the news one bit.
We all sat on the couch for half an hour before I finally decided to change the subject.
"So what do you suggest I do with my life now?" I asked, not really sure of what to do with myself.
"Well what is it that you desire?" Lucifer asked.
"Don't start that up again!" I said rolling my eyes at him. "I don't know I guess I could go with my original plan of working at Lux as a bartender and try to keep a low profile?" I didn't want Hydra finding me and what with Ward and Garrett on the lookout as well, I didn't want to make a scene.
"That works for me, dove. In fact you can start tonight, but first, can you play a song for both of us? I missed hearing your voice these past few months," Lucifer asked, batting his eyes at me with a puppy dog look on his face that I just couldn't say no to.
"Oh alright, fine! But I'm not even that good," I argued as I went to go sit down by the piano, failing to notice as Loki summoned a camera and hit record. I was halfway to the piano when I spotted a guitar across the room and changed my mind and went to go pick it up before sitting on the couch by the large window with a view of the streets.

"You're absolutely amazing!" Loki said once I had finished. I looked up in surprise as I had been staring out at the view in front of me the whole time and stared in shock at the camera in his hands. I ducked my head as I blushed.
"Thanks! I'm sure you're just saying that to be nice though," I replied.
"He's not! You've got an amazing voice, sweetheart. If you don't believe us then post the video and see what the world thinks about it!" Lucifer suggested. I thought about it as Loki handed me the camera. I rewatched the video and there wasn't anything in the video that would give away my identity considering I now had red hair, so I guess there was no harm in doing so. But just to be on the safe side I decided to create all new social media and made my nickname "The Avenging Angel" - I still hated the name Angel, but I figured it would be an apt description and a secret point to the Avengers. I hit upload and then stared at my reflection in the mirror. If I was going to come up with yet another secret identity that was one thing but it wouldn't work if I walked around with red hair on a daily basis so I figured the safest option was to disguise myself as Skye again. Enough with "Lexi" the white hair was also too noticeable but dark brown was more likely to go unnoticed. And I could just wear contacts and my naturally new red hair for any following music related videos (assuming enough people wanted me to continue). Loki and Lucifer seemed to think that it was going to be a hit but I just wasn't so sure.

Skye's POV
Turns out the video was a huge success. I was shocked when I came upstairs after my first shift at Lux to find thousands of notifications and comments from all the people who had seen my video. And then of course Loki, god of mischief and pranks gave me the idea to get back at Tony and the others - I didn't want to do anything to extreme though - while Lucifer and Loki were upset with the others for having attacked me I knew deep down that they would not have intentionally tried to hurt me but I did like the idea of having some fun! Heck I figured after years of Hydra and then almost going directly to Shield I was due for a good time! I had it all planned out.
I spent the next week working downstairs at the bar while spending a few hours each day working on writing my first song, coming up with the music video concept and then keeping tabs on the construction work that was going on at Stark Tower as they changed it to the Avenger Tower. I also had Loki show me how to teleport which was a pretty cool power and would come in handy when it came to what I was about to do.
I grinned as I snatched the camera equipment up into my arms and then strode over to Lucifer's piano before teleporting it and myself to the roof of the still under construction Avenger Tower and then used my telekinesis powers to float the camera equipment to the angles that I wanted and then proceeded to film my song. It was both a dedication to the new building as well as my way of getting under Tony's skin since I knew he was going to go ballistic over how I managed to get onto the roof without JARVIS notifying him - but of course I had taken care of that problem with a few key strokes on my laptop.

*Imagine her with a piano on the roof of Avenger Tower and different camera angles to capture her both playing the piano and sometimes standing and singing and then like piano music papers flying all over the place towards the end and of course awesome views of clouds and sunset/sunrises)
Once I was happy with the footage I flashed myself back to Lucifer's suite and sat down by my laptop and had Loki help me edit everything so that it looked both awesome but was still very clear where the video was shot so that Tony would hopefully get as riled up about it as possible.
I waited a week until the construction on the tower was complete and then not more then 5 minutes after they had the ribbon cutting ceremony I uploaded the music video to all my new social media accounts - of course making sure to tag Tony Stark & the other Avengers with the message
AvengingAngel: Welcome Home, Avengers.
An hour later my phone buzzed and I looked down to see that Tony had commented on the video. I giggled as I stared down at his response.
TonyStark: I don't recall giving you permission to use my roof...
AvengingAngel: It's not just your roof anymore ;)
I grinned at my phone as I saw heart notifications pop up from all the other avengers at my response to Tony.
