Urumi
“Urumi wonders why [Name] doesn't like her.” she snap a Pocky with her mouth. “Urumi is really lovely, shame [Name] dislikes her very much.”
You looked at her, dead in the eyes. “I don't dislike you. I just don't care about you.”
“[Name] wounds Urumi's feelings.” she has her sweet smile, but her eyes flashed pain with your claim. You stared at her uninterested and went on your way to Matsushita.
She crossed her arms and glared at you. “You're really going to ignore me?!”
“So you do know how to speak in first person. Here I thought that you can't. And no I'm not ignoring you. I never cared enough to notice you in the first place.”
Then you heard sounds of cracking. You glanced at where it came from and you saw a muscular man punching a smaller one. It was stomach-churning for other players, seeing the blood sprays from the smaller guy's head.
The muscular guy's head exploded.
“One of the rules of the solitary confinement: Players may not revoke another's ability to announce their own mark.” you whispered, snickering amusedly. “Seems that people are going to be lessening now.”
And they did.
Betrayals after betrayals.
Deaths after deaths.
“Urumi is quite worried about Kakeru. The one who Kaneko almost lied to was you, right?” you heard her jolly voice through the empty corridors of the cell.
“Seems that she's making a move. Heh?” you didn't bother listening to her manipulating someone to do her will. You already have two of those types of people, you do not want another one to deal with.
“We need to dispose of Urumi.” you never wanted bark out a laugh so loud and hard up until now. “We can't let that woman extend her reach anymore.” The four whispered their plan, but it was too loud to not be heard by you.
Domination, is what Urumi basked herself with. She believed to be at the top of the people, unaware that they are scheming just right behind her back. She felt superior to others, making her the most inferior of them all.
Again, you strolled through the hallways, satisfied with the tea you just sipped. You saw Urumi waiting for you and you grinned widely. You know that she's going to die after this round.
Should you help her?
“[Name].” she looks so smug. She really was confident that she'll be alive after this.
“Urumi.” she was glad that you called her name.
“Yep?”
"You are going to die in this round.” her smug face went baffled, shocked with your sudden statement.
“Huh?” she stopped eating her strawberry Pocky.
Silence.
Deafening silence.
“Eh? Why do you look so confused? I mean, you made them lie to others, and they are capable of doing so. Do you really think that they wouldn't lie to you as well?”
“They wouldn't lie to Urumi! I had them wrapped arou—” untypically agitated, Urumi was getting worked up with your revelation.
“That is what you believed. No, rather, that is what they made you believe. You think you're above others, guiding them like some sort of a puppeteer. If I had joined you, I'll probably be treated like them as well.”
You meandered, swaying like a bamboo to non-existent wind. You ambled towards the woman, passed by her then stopped at her back.
“Your mark is H-e-a-rt!” impersonating the woman in front of you. “Remember that mark, forget that mark, I don't really care. That's probably the first and last help that I would give you.”
You dawdled without bending your knees, looking like a penguin wandering over an endless path of snow. You saw your teammates. One standing, one was sitting on the cold concrete ground.
“Where were you? I— you didn't tell us that you'll be away, I thought something happened to you.” Matsushita stuttered out. His back was slouched, feigning an appearance that shows insecurity.
“The eighth round is going to start.” Banda looked up to you. “Turn around. Spade.”
The eighth round started. You heard several explosions, and when you came out from your cell, you saw Urumi furious for the first time. A jolly woman having that much rage was the funniest thing ever.
“So much for having them wrapped around your fingers, eh?”
“[Name].” she ran to you and held your wrist. “Help me. Tell me my mark— tell me my mark. Help me.” her eyes contained fear, and her superiority was ling gone.
“Why should I? I already helped you once.” her hands became tighter. “Loosen your grip.”
“A-ah. Urumi is sorry.”
“Why not relax for a while. Eat your Pocky or something.”
Painfully serene. There are only ten survivors and you can see the distinction of players inside. There are ones that wanted to step down from the game. There are ones that still wanted to continue. There are ones that didn't care at all.
You have your guesses about who was the Jack. Urumi was crossed out, the four that quit were crossed out as well, leaving Yaba, Kotoko, Matsushita, and Banda.
Yaba held a brimming self-confidence in his make-believe omnipotence. Domination like Urumi, but his was much more polished.
Banda was too calm and pleased in this situation. He held serenity that shouldn't be there. He was a dangerous entity, he doesn't seem like a human at all.
Kotoko appears to be dependent, anxious and just straight up submissive. If she was the Jack, you are impressed that she held that insecure facade.
Matsushita appeared to follow Banda anywhere, following his every will. He seemed to be unconfident like Kotoko, shivering at the sight of death. If you didn't know better, you would think that he was innocent.
But the last two was much more plausible to be them rather than Yaba and Banda. The former's presence were too strong and noticeable to be effective in concealing it and act behind the other's eyes, unlike Kotoko and Matsushita, who were like skittering animals.
And in conclusion, you think that the Jack was either Kotoko or Matsushita.
“[Name]'s thinking too much. Now that you have Urumi, whoever's the Jack, you'll still be spared from their lies.” Urumi put a Pocky on your mouth.
“All that trouble to step down, only to be killed in the end.” you munched the stick. “This is chocolate.”
“Urumi can only have the strawberry.” she childishly showed off the box. “Oh! The next round is starting.” she giddily went in front of you.
“Club.”
“Turn around!” she bit her strawberry Pocky. “Its Diamond.” she kissed your cheek and went to her cell. She didn't care about Ippei's corpse just lying around.
You glanced at Banda, wordlessly telling him to trust Yaba instead of Matsushita. With that, you entered your cell as well.
Urumi and you lived.
