The New Team Avatar Family
It was a nice sunny day out. It was Asami's idea to have a picnic. Sometimes it was nice for them all to take a break from everything and just enjoy their small family. Whenever Asami and Mako acted lovey dovey Korra would loudly make sick sounds. It was all a joke though. They all had a long discussion about their feelings. In the end Korra realized she had feelings for both Asami and Mako. Bolin on the other hand just wanted affection in general. It took a while for them all to be comfortable with it. And even longer for them to develop a relationship that worked for all them. In the end they found Korra benefited from regression because it really helped her cope with all the responsibility, on the other hand when Bolin saw the way they were treating Korra he got extremely jealous and even threw a fit about how Mako only loved Korra more, and how he never got any attention. After talking to it, Bolin was added in their little pretend family.
Bolin and Asami made flower crowns together, well technically Asami made the crowns while the earth bender just picked the flowers for her. The little was extremely excited and amazed by her flower crown building skills. Korra was a little late because she had some training, it wasn't uncommon for her to be late. When she got there though she was completely little, and frustrated “Ko!” Bolin said happily making grabby hands. “AH! I hate training! I hate being the Avatar! I hate everything!” She ranted frustrated throwing herself into Mako's arms. “I know I know training can be hard” He said rubbing her back. “Ko Ko! Here” The younger brother gave the future avatar the flower crown Asami made. “Thank you Bobo” She said sighing ruffling his hair. She was the older little of the two and loved being his big sister. Though they were very close to ages anyway.
While the earth bender happily chased the fire ferret around, Korra was still getting into it, and was still being rather fussy. Asami was the one who took her in her arms and took her pony tail down in order to run her fingers in it. That always helped calm her down a bit. She had a way of helping calm the two littles down in her own ways. “Come on now, how about we enjoy our nice little lunch, no more icky feelings about training” The female caretaker said softly. “Food?” Bolin perked up running over to the basket to open it. “No, Bo you know the rules we have to wait” Mako said firmly. “Nu! Hungry now!” Bolin stomped his foot causing some of the ground to crack accidentally using his earth bending powers. “'M hungry too” Korra said softly rubbing her eyes. Like normal Bolin stuffed his face, it was rather adorable. Korra was a little less messy, but she also was a food loving little. Asami loved it though. She tend to spoil the two of them more than Mako like,d he was a lot more strict than her. It brought her a small smile hearing her boyfriend scold the two adults they cared for, for speaking with food in their mouth and what not. It felt nice for her to have a family, after her falling out with her father.
After they were done with eating Korra wanted to play, but Bolin was still rather stuffed and wasn't ready to play yet. So, while Korra played with Mako, both of them bending. Asami and Bolin watched. The nonbender would never get bored of watching her small family bend even if she couldn't. She also made sure to give her boy lots of cuddles and pets. Since the earth bender craved attention, praise and physical affection more than anything else in the world. And Asami was more than willing to give it to him. Pabu was being hugged like a stuffed animal. Not that the fire ferret minded he was used to it, and Bolin was always very careful with the animal. In fact the animal loved being cuddled by his main owner.
The nonbender rested her head on the fire bender. Korra was showing the younger little a new game she “made” up. Which basically resulted in Korra just having Bolin knock over water balls from the air. It was rather adorable. After that they both helped Asami play with them. Together they made the ground under her float causing her to float. She praised her talented sweeties. But, Mako made them stop pretty soon after they started it. Asami claimed it was fine, but he still thought it was rather dangerous. Specially since both benders tend to get distracted easily while they were little.
Both of their littles were very active hyper praise needy sometimes (a lot time) whiny little kids. But, Asami and Mako wouldn't change it for the world. Tenzin and his family knew that both benders were littles and Pema had taken care of Korra a lot when she had accidentally fell into littlespace without the two of them, and even babysat her and Bolin a few times. The woman was just such a sweet person and never once judged them. Well Tenzin's whole family didn't judge them. Korra loved playing with Tenzin's children. While Bolin was much shyer and was almost always glued to Pema's hip when she was babysitting for Asami and Mako, not that she minded that much. Bolin was always very quick to help her with any little task she could think of.
Of course their family may not have been the most normal, two orphan benders, one fire one earth, a nonbender who was betrayed by her anti-bender father, and the current incarnation of the Avatar managed to make more than just a team, they became a family. It might be different and sure even weird, but even so, none of them would change it for the world.
