Marcy, Sasha, and Anne have moved in together.)

A Familiar Feeling

Knock Knock

"Marcy, you almost done in there? I need to fix my hair!" A girl shouted from the other side of the bathroom door.

"I’ll be right out!" Marcy replied, putting her iconic green pin in her hair before opening the door to reveal Sasha. Marcy walked out to let Sasha in before walking down the hallway.

"Boo!" Anne popped out of a room, scaring Marcy as she fell back. "Jeez Anne! You scared me!" She laughed. "Well that was the point!" Anne replied, laughing. "So, you ready to go?"

"Yep! As for Sasha, she’ll probably be out in a second." Marcy walked towards the front door of their shared apartment. "Alright!" Anne replied.

Sasha brushed through the last part of her hair before walking-

"What is that?" She thought, staring at the small drops of green liquid on the edge of the sink. "It’s probably nothing..?" She thought before quickly cleaning it up and walking out.

"I’m ready!" Sasha yelled before follow Anne and Marcy out the door.

"And.. we’re here!" Sasha said to the two girls in her car. "Finally!" The girls spoke in unison. They hopped out of the car and headed towards the entrance of the aquarium.

"Hey! It’s locked! I told you we came here too early-"

"Woah woah woah Sash! I told you guys I was giving you a private tour!" Anne opened the door with a key. "Benefits of working here!"

"Oh yeah- that actually makes more sense now." Sasha replied and Marcy nodded in agreement. "So! Where to first?" Anne asked.

"Woo! Already lunchtime and we’ve covered so much!" Anne yelled as more people flooded into the aquarium. "I say we head to the cafe!" Sasha added while Marcy just nodded. "Hey.. you okay Marcy? You’ve been super quiet."

Marcy just stood there.

"Marcy..? Hello? Earth to Marcy!" Sasha yelled.

"Huh? Oh.. sorry I was spacing out." Marcy quickly replied.

"Are you sure you’re okay Marcy?" Anne questioned, concerned.

"Yeah, just a small headache.. I’m gonna go head to the bathroom." Marcy answered, irritation in her voice.

"Oh.. alright. Want us to wait for you-" Anne asked before getting cut off.

"It’s fine, Anne. Go ahead." Marcy cut her off before walking away.

"That was.. weird." Sasha said before sitting down at a table. "Yeah.. she seemed really off." Anne added. "Well whatever it is, hopefully it’s not something she’s hiding from us." Sasha stated. "What do you mean by that?" Anne questioned. "Marcy’s just been.. off recently? I don’t know what it is exactly, but they seem different."

"To be honest, I’ve noticed it too." Anne added.

Marcy paced down the halls as her ears rang. They went so far to the point that there were no more people before she finally found a bathroom.

She entered and walked towards the sink. They looked up at the mirror with a distressed look, but the reflection was not her own. Instead, the reflection showed her with a sick grin, and way too many eyes. She fell back, hyperventilating while her ears rang and the space around her became darker. Marcy managed to get up and look in the mirror again. This time it showed her, but with one orange eye. While tears began to form in her brown eye, the other one burned away any tears that could form. A strange green liquid flowed from her nose instead of the red one she was familiar with.

She started to panic even more. They backed into the wall and slid down it. Placing their head on their knees while still hyperventilating. They sat there before everything went black.

Suddenly, Marcy jolted awake to the feeling of arms wrapped around her.

"Marcy! Marcy!" A distant, muffled voice screamed.

"Marcy! It’s okay, we’re here!" A different voice spoke.

Marcy stared blankly at the ground, not even registering who was talking to them.

Suddenly, one of the strange people in front of her shook her before she finally looked up.

Two eyes started at Sasha, who was just shaking Marcy. One eye, the brown one, was filled with tears. While the other was filled with nothing but a burning heat inside of Marcy’s head.

Before Sasha could react, Marcy blinked and the orange eye was normal again.

"Marcy..?" Anne asked, worried.

Marcy simply covered her eyes as more tears flowed out. Anne and Sasha looked at each other before nodding. They both hugged Marcy before Anne spoke. "Let’s get out of here, okay?"

Sasha agreed while Marcy stayed quiet. The two helped her get up and walk towards the nearest exit.

As soon as they entered the apartment, Marcy ran into the bathroom and locked the door.

"Marcy!" Anne shouted before turning the door knob anxiously, only to realize it was locked. Sasha followed hand and banged on the door. "Marcy! Talk to us!"

Marcy didn’t respond. She just slid against the wall and sat there.
