Jealous
I was on my way to enter the resto bar when a pair of hand grab my wrist.
I instantly felt alerted, so I quickly kick the person’s feet and grab its hair when I escaped on its hold.
“Aray aray! Ate Eir! Masakit!” voice of a man met me.
“What the – Ino?” I said startled and at the same annoyed of what happen.
“What’s wrong with you? Pano kung napuruhan kita?”
“Ate Eir naman kasi, hindi muna tumingin kung sino ako eh. Tsaka pinipigilan ko lang naman na humawak ka sa may pinto. Ayan oh—”
pagpapaliwanag nito at tinuro ang sign sa pinto.
“Wet paint. Don’t touch.”basa nito.
“Bakit nyo naman po kasi hahawakan? Hay naku, buti nalang po talaga Maganda kayo” iilling iling pang sabi nito.
I chuckled as I remove some of his hair on my hand that I pulled earlier.
I said sorry and we walk inside on the other side of the door.
As we enter, Sam and Rim where already there while the one that I’ve been looking for was no where to be found.
Ino might’ve notice that’s why he informed me.
“Mamaya pa siguro yun Ate Eir, alam ko may plates pa yung tinatapos kahapon eh.”
“It was Sunday though” I said as a sigh left out my mouth.
“Naku masasanay karin, lalo na architecture and bebe mo” pagpapagaan nito sa akin
I just nod and amusingly look at him.
“bebe?” I said almost whispering.
“ayy bakit hindi pa ba? Kala ko naman dumamoves na yun. Gagi, matatalo pa ata ako” he said and whisper the last sentence, so I didn’t hear it.
He still follows me when I take my seat near the stage.
I think this is my part of space in this resto bar.
“dumadamoves?” I said referring to what he said earlier
“Opo, alam nyo ate, yung babaeng yun matagal na kayong crush. Hindi pa nga kami naniwala nung una, kasi ng pumunta kami ng bahay nila puro si snowball lang naman nakapaskil sa buong kwarto nya.” Kwento nitong natatawa pa
“Kaya pala kayo naging crush kasi kamukha nyo si snowball!” sabi nito habang humahagalpak ng tawa.
“So you mean to say, her original crush was snowball?” I said getting upset on the new news I gathered.
“Parang ganun na nga ate. Kamukha mo rin talaga eh” natatawa pang sabi nito
He stops and look at me.
He starts laughing hard as I furrowed my brow more.
“ayy gagi…w-wait” he said still laughing
“What are you doing? Stop laughing.” I ask as I hit his shoulder.
“Aray ate! Ayan na naman eh” he said composing himself.
“Stop laughing kasi!” nainiis kong sabi dito
“I’m trying…” he said still suppressing his laughter.
“Bakit kasi parang nagseselos ka sa isang cartoon character?” he continued.
“I’m not!” I said loudly for sam and rim even notice me.
“Di mo ko maloloko ate. Kita sa mukha mo. Mukha ka nang si angry snowball kanina” pang aasar parin nito.
“I said I’m not!” I said as I hit him hard this time.
He keeps yelling and telling me to stop but I didn’t listen.
I was about to hit him again when I hear a loud banging on the table on my side.
I was shocked to see the one I’ve been looking for earlier and was about to say hi when she just glares at me.
“Pwede ba kung maghaharutan kayo, wag dito.” she said then rolled her eyes on me.
I was still shocked on her attitude when I heard Ino smirk and said something.
“Mga Selosa amp.”

Their rehearsal was already finish yet she didn’t even look at me or even glance at my direction for the whole 3 hours.
I immediately approach her when she gets close to my table where her bag was placed.
“So, what’s with the attitude?” I said releasing the awkwardness on the air.
“Wag ngayon.” She said as she hangs her bag on her shoulder and put her hat on.
“Sam uwi na ko.” She said waving to Sam and walk past me, ignoring me completely.
I hurriedly grabbed my purse and followed her out of the bar.
When I get closer, I quickly grab her wrist and made her look at me.
I feel her warm body as I touch her, but I ignore it.
“What’s wrong? What’s happening?” I said half annoyed but still worried.
“Eto ba talaga perks nang mga matatangkad? Walang makakawalk out sa inyo?” matamlay na sabi nito at tinanggal ang pagkakahawak ko sa kamay nito.
“What?” I ask confused.
“Wala, sabi ko baka mauna pa yung LQ natin kesa maging tayo.” She said jokingly and face me.
She looks pale and unwell.
I immediately put the back of my hand on her forehead.
I winched when I felt its heat.
She quickly removes my hand on her head and smile weakly at me.
“Uwi na po ako ate achira” she informs me before walking slowly.
“I’ll bring you home or might as well we go straight to the hospital” I said trying to support her.
She was about to said something when a horn of the car filled the place.
A woman gets off the car wearing an F.A. kind of uniform.
She walks closer to us filled with worry.
“Cupcake! I told you not go out diba? Why are you so stubborn?” she said when she gets closer to us.
Sinalat nito ang ulo ni carrot.
“Gosh! You’re burning up! Come here!” she said as she removes the jacket tied on her waist and put it on carrot.
“Let’s go home pie, I’m feeling weak” carrot said leaning her body on the girl.
I feel a spang of pain as I look at them.
they… they look good together.
“Oww… you’re with someone?” the girl ask looking at me.
“Uy gago! The great Eir! Ahh!” the girl suddenly yelled.
“Hi! I’m a fan. Oh my… kinikilig ako! Sheyt cupcake ba’t di mo sinabi na nandito si idol?” she said, still yelling.
“Pie, calm down. And please, I’m having a hard time here.” Carrot said completely ignoring the girls freaking out.
“Oh yeah, right. Sorry cupcake. Ahm… I hope to meet you again soon Miss Eir. I’m Alex by the way” she said informing me.
I smile on her and shakes her hand that was offered.
“Yes, of course. And please, take care of carrot.” I said as I look at carrot.
She confusedly looks at me and carrot before forming a creepy smile which sent shivers on my spine.
“Of course, miss. I’ll take care of MY cupcake from here. Thank you” she said before carefully dragging carrot inside of her car.
I stood there until they left the place before making my way on my car.
I quickly rest my body on the seat and sigh as I close my eyes.
I have a lot of thoughts right now and yet all of them was because of that carrot girl.

It’s been 2 days since I went to this bar.
There’s no rehearsal for a moment due to carrot’s situation.
And right now, I hope she’s okay.
I was about to enter the bar when I step backward because of the sudden opening of the door.
“Ate Eir!” Rim said surprisingly.
I confusedly look at them when they got out one by one.
“Where are you going?” I ask raising an eyebrow.
“Oh, where going to visit Hall sa ospital. Di parin okay eh” Sam said hurriedly typing on her phone.
“What?! Why is she in the hospital?” I said worriedly grab my phone to text my manager to fetch my car later.
I’m planning to come with them.
“kanina lang daw pong madaling araw sinugod. Hindi daw po kasi bumaba yung lagnat sabi ni alex eh.” Ino said running on the driver seat of his car.
I enter at the driver side seat while Rim and Sam were at the back seat.
“Kalma lang tayong lahat ah. Medyo okay narin naman daw sabi ni alex eh, katext ko sa ngayon.” Sam said which makes me sigh in relief.

We arrived at the hospital at exactly 30 minutes.
I firstly get out of the car and run to the information desk.
“ahm… what’s carrot’s room number!?” I panickily said.
I ignore the people taking photos and videos of me.
I settled my eyes on the nurse whose looking at me confusedly.
“Halley Romero po Miss.” Sam said overtaking my question earlier.
“Ah… room 23 po—”
I hurriedly run my way at the said room with Ino keeping up on me.
I forcedly enter the room which I immediately regret to do.
Carrot was hugging this woman... but I was more regret hearing what she said next.
“Buti nandito ka na! Kaya mahal na mahal kita eh”
I felt my throat becomes dry and felt like someone punch my heart.
‘Why do I feel this? Is it that deep?’
‘it’s… it’s too early for this feeling.’ Contradicting myself
“Such a baby” the woman whispers as she caresses her hair.
The girl turns her face on us.
She is beautiful, I can say but her aura was somehow scary.
“Babe, you have visitors” the girl said trying to break out on the hug.
“Eh, yaan mo sila. Sila sam lang naman yan eh. Di naman yan importante. Mas importante ka” carrot answer and look up to see her face.
‘Why do I feel like I’m going to a second heartbreak?’
I sighed as I travel my eyes on carrots hands wrapped obsessively on the girl’s waist.
I feel the urge to punch when the girl leans in on carrots ear and said something to her.
Carrot quickly shoves the girl on the side, and I sighed when I see her shocked eyes meets mine.
‘Yeah, I think Ino is right. I’m selosa’
“Excuse me. I suddenly have an emergency” I said as I run out of the room.
‘Shit this jealousy! And shit this complicated life.’
