Illicit affair
Sam continued staying in her own house with Mon,and didn't allow Kirk to ever enter her place specially after their marriage.When Kirk said they were having their honeymoon at Switzerland,Sam flew to Japan with Mon instead.
There were times Mon wanted to give up their secret relationship as she would think she is holding back Sam from having the perfect marriage, Sam would immediately stop her and clear her doubts,insecurities, constantly proving to fight for their relationship,Mon would dissolve and immediately regret it and continue staying with Sam to help her fight the odds.
Kirk wouldn't give up and would attempt to be all close and intimate with Sam during family parties,where Sam couldn't obviously bring Mon with her.There were times it hurt Kirk whenever he realized that he will never be Mon but he never gave up as he believes that him and Sam are perfect together like how everyone apart from Sam's friend group and Sam, views them.
Their friendgroup including Yuki,Nop and Yha who knew about their secret relationship,were quite supportive of their relationship,which helped Mon feel less bad about herself.During parties, Sam's friend group specially Jim would ask Sam how Mon is,and gush over their domesticated stories,while ignoring Kirk who would stand beside Sam just for the shows.None of them bothered hiding their hatred towards Kirk after the marriage.
Mon's parents, specially miss pohn were not supportive,specially of their relationship after learning how Sam was married but they were never against it as they know how much they love each other.Sam felt guilty for dragging Mon into her mess with her and effecting Mon relationship with her parents,Mon would assure her that the situation both of them are in is wrong but it wouldn't change their love for their daughter,Sam swore to never give up on their relationship and continued proving it to both Mon's parents and Mon.
Grandmother would pressure Sam to have kids,scold her for not being intimate with Kirk already or that she should stay with Kirk than with Mon,whenever she invited Kirk and Sam for dinner.Sam would then tell her grandmother, how she already got married Kirk against her own wish for Grandmother,who is still not satisfied.Sam's grandmother would become angry and say how that poor girl Mon changed her in a bad way as she is openly cheating in a 'perfect marriage'.Sam would get up and tell her that nothing will stop her from being with Mon since she has been doing it before marrying kirk,and would still continue staying with her than in a marriage based on status/views etc,and leaves mid dinner, while Kirk would try to stop Sam but doesn't as he recalls the divorce papers Sam sent him signed from her side, earlier that day realizing it's really time to give up.
Neung was against Sam keeping Mon as a mistress aswell,but after seeing her sister's determination to end the marriage and finally leave their selfish grandmother,she felt proud how Mon changed her into being the strong version of herself instead of a weak puppet that was constantly controlled by their grandmother and helped Sam divorce Kirk by making sure Kirk no longer has any connection with Sam, including diversity.
