Chae Young's week had been the longest of her life.
It seemed only she wasn't able to concentrate at all on anything.
She would go to school and return right away, not even indulging in accepting (stealing) Dahyun's free chocolate bars.
So of course her friends noticed this and tried their best to figure out what was going on. They went every day of the week to her house and tried to find out what had exactly happened during the weekend for her to lose her focus so much.
The entire week they kept trying and trying and no answer.
That was until Friday Jeongin sent her a picture Bang Chan had sent to him during their random conversations about their boyfriends.
It was Mina and Felix having fun at the zoo.
That was when Chae Young's water works broke free.
Her friends clearly noticed this and took her phone to see what it was that made her tear up.
Jihyo quickly understood what happened, or so she thought she did. But just to be sure she had to ask.
“Chae what's wrong?”
Her friend was not answering and just staring at the phone. She decided to take it from her to see what she was looking at.
She saw the screenshot that Jeongin had sent her. What she had thought was the reason for her tears was wrong. She had no idea what was going on.
The rest of her friends huddled around to see her phone.
After much quietness and the sound of Chaeyoungs tears, she decided to speak up.
“Last week, after the concert, Mina and I went to the park and the bakery to spend some time together.”
“Yeah you told us that girl.” Chimed in Dahyun.
“Dahyun!! Shut up and listen to her, "said Jeongyeon.
“Sheesh fineee”
Chaeyoung continued talking, her tears slowly stopping.
“At the end of the night we got each others numbers and the next day she texted me asking me to hang out. I said yes so she came to my house to pick me up, she also got some flowers for my mom, i didn't think much of it but then she also got some for me. After that we left to the movie theater. We watched a movie, then we went to get ice cream as it was too early to go home. Once we were going home, as it was very late she stopped me…”
She had to stop to take a breath and recall the events of that night. At first she was just shocked to hear her say it so she asked for time. But she did not expect her to miss school for an entire week.
Her friends saw her struggling to speak up so they decided to sit down on a bench outside the school. As this was all happening after school, the day Felix and Mina hung out at the zoo.
Taking a deep sigh, she continued, “She grabbed me by my hand, and looked me in the eyes, she… she told me she liked me and wanted to hit on me. It was dark so I couldn't really see her expression well as after she told me she looked away. I told her I needed time to think and that she shouldn't call me until I called her or texted her first. I told her to leave me alone. And she did, but.. I didn't think she would miss school because of it.”
“Hold on, hold on, wait, wait, she, Mina, told you she likes you?? And you just blatantly told her that you need time to think when you clearly are head over heels for her?” Said Jihyo.
“Yeah… It caught me off guard I didn't know she liked me too.”
“GIRL I'M ABOUT TO BEAT YOU UP!! COME HERE RIGHT NOW” Yelled Dahyun as she got up from the bench.
“Sit your ass down, the one who will get beat up is you.” Scolded Jeongyeon
“Okay, here's what I can tell you, she's gonna come to school next week, so you can just explain yourself then.” Said Jihyo
“Okay,.”
“Aren't you going to ask how she knows she's coming to school next week?” Whispered Dahyun to Jeongyeon who was holding her down.
“No, now shut up, or else.”
