Vow to You
Enid Sinclair
After wolfing out on my own at age sixteen, I thought to myself, what's the whole point of being a werewolf if I'm not going to protect someone other than myself with the abilities I have? But that question was answered for me. Never have I ever felt the strong urge to keep someone safe until I met Wednesday and her family.
They taught me so much about what it's like to be an Addams. No matter how different their lifestyles are, they won't change anything about themselves. As a cheerful and multicolored wolf shifter, the Addams accepted me for who I am. That is what I love about them and will do anything in my power to look after the family, even if it costs my life.
Tyler and I stared down at one another like small preys in the woods. My adrenaline was running high and overflowing with resentment for the Hyde man. After critically injuring Wednesday, there was no way I would let him live. All I could see is red from the rage I'm feeling currently. Without wasting any second, we pounced at each other.
My opponent had his claws raised to strike. Before he was able to land a hit, I opened my mouth and bit down Tyler's slim arm he had in the air with all my might. The monster cried in pain before I unlatched my sharp teeth. I then head butted the ugly beast by the stomach and slammed him against a tree, causing the bark to crack.
I wanted to rip his neck but missed as he moved out of the way quickly. Without enough time to react, Galpin pushed me to the ground as we rolled around, trying to add damage to our tough bodies. His nails dug into my skin while trying to bite any areas open of my werewolf. I prevented him from doing so by kicking and using my front paws to swipe his face.
Thanks to my kicks, I got on all fours and took some steps away from the Hyde. I growled deeply while having some strength left with scratches scattered around my furry figure. Noticing Tyler easily rising up from the ground, he didn't sustain major wounds. It didn't worry me because I'm prepared to take his life away from this world.
I jumped right on top of his back once he got up from our little wrestling match. My razor nails extended as much as I could to drag them from top to the bottom of the Hyde's back. It left a deep laceration which made the barista boy roar at the sky. I was about to unattach my claws when Tyler reached me from behind. He grabbed my wrists and flung me to the dirt with my back facing down.
I gritted my teeth from the impact of my anatomy landing on a solid surface. However, something much worse resulted in me howling out of agony. I did not have enough time to dodge Galpin's claw gashing my old scars. It stung terribly to the point when I couldn't keep my left eye open. My own blood poured and dripped down my face relentlessly.
No matter how much I wanted to defend myself from my enemy, I wasn't capable. The pain was so excruciating, it reminded me of the day my mother clawed my face. That's a memory I thought of while in pain. To rub salt on the wound, Tyler picked me up by the throat and began strangling me pinned against a tree.
Briskly, I felt the oxygen slowly leaving my body while struggling to fight off the monster. My head throbbed from the loss of blood and not getting any air to breathe in. I tried piercing my nails into the Hyde's epidermis, but it didn't help me in the situation I'm in. At this moment, this is what happened in Wednesday's vision.
I'm being choked to death by the hairless beast we tried searching for. His arm is being lifted, claw's outstretched. My eyes were becoming blurry and teary. No matter how numb I was beginning to feel, I am not ready to die anytime sooner. I have a whole life ahead of me and a new chapter to start. Now that I am with Wednesday, there's so much to do together. I know she is fighting to stay alive, and so should I.
With my remaining strength, I swung my hind legs up to the Hyde's face and kicked it, making my nails jab his eyeballs. He dropped me immediately to the ground as he was struggling to keep his eyes open and rubbed it to make the pain go away. I gasped, trying to inhale oxygen that was lost, but I didn't plan to rest just yet.
I sprinted towards Galpin and rammed into his body, pushing him onto another tree. From there, I went on a total rampage. My canines aimed for his thin shoulder, clenched through the skin, and began biting chunks off of his physique. I tore most of his flesh and muscles, my face covered with a mix of mine and his own blood. He whined and did his best to push me away, but I didn't budge.
A burst of energy was given to me in the moment the more I viciously slowly killed Tyler. The upper part of his extremities were bloodied, lacerated, and shredded because of my teeth and claws. I noticed he did end up scratching my chest and front legs while I was harming him which didn't matter to me. Soon enough, my adrenaline washed away once I stopped my battle with the Hyde.
My body was now bruised, feeling sore, and weak as both my enemy and I transformed back into humans. I leisurely went to fetch my coat that was a couple feet away from me and put it in to cover my naked body. Tyler, on the other hand, lied on the ground with nothing to cover him. His frame was still and lifeless as his eyes were closed and his chest was no longer rising or falling.
As someone who is sympathetic and empathetic, there wasn't an ounce of sorrow or apologetic feeling towards the man. After what he had done to Wednesday, I cannot forgive him. Tyler deserved what karma has brought to him for hurting my girlfriend. Instead of continuing to stare at the deceased body in front of me, my next mission is to find the gold ring belonging to the raven before I faint.

Wednesday Addams
My parents, Pugsley, and Thing all panicked while I'm close to dying. Once my father carried me inside the manor, my family were beyond concerned about my well being. I didn't care so much as to how worried they were. My mind was focused on Enid and if she would survive the violent duel.
As we went through the foyer and living room, my mother and Pugsley cleared the table, swiping any item to the ground. Then, my father cautiously settled my fatigued body on the furniture while the weapon was sticking out of my stomach. I was thankful enough the coat Enid gifted me wasn't ruined or soaked in blood.
"What in the world happened to Wednesday, and where's Enid?!" My brother was alarmed.
"Tyler is the Hyde in Wednesday's vision. He stabbed your sister and is now going up against Enid," my father explained.
"W-we need to help Enid," I unsteadily mustered to my family members.
"With her lycanthrope abilities, she has an advantage, my rain cloud. I shall grab bandages, a needle, and surgical threads to fix your wound," my mother stated.
"There's no need to heal Wednesday on your own."
We whirled our heads in the same direction of the voice. It turned out to be Goody Addams in phantom form. I wasn't shocked when she appeared after my encounter with Tyler. My ancestor kept her word about saving me after my injury occurred. Nothing but relief is what I felt.
"Goody!?" My parents and sibling exclaimed in sync.
"Yes. It is I. Lovely meeting the newer generation of the Addams. As of now, I must save Wednesday before demise consumes her. She'll be restored in no time," Goody addressed to our relatives.
"Do what you need," my father approved.
Everyone stepped aside as Goody made her way from the entrance of the dining area to the table. Her hand was placed around the knife wound while I waited for whatever healing powers she may have obtained.
"Brace yourself."
I didn't have a clue as to what to expect from Goody until the blade from my stomach was pulled out instantly. My face contorted while the physical affliction developed into an execrable sensation. Goody's hands were pressed on my puncture lesion. Suddenly, a bright light surrounded the wound, closing the gap on its own. Like magic, the achiness and pain vanished. I was back to being functional again.
"There we go. It's like nothing had happened to you," Goody grinned out of pride.
I sat myself up and said, "Thank you, Goody. How can I ever repay you?"
"You already have. And that is by growing as your own person. You also chose the right pathway that determines your future which brings me joy. I will finally rest in peace knowing you'll be okay. Farewell Addams, and pursue your adventurous journeys," my ancestor beamed before disintegrating into nothingness.
Watching Goody disappear gave her the utmost respect from me. It's tragic she won't be able to visit me through my visions. However, I can drop by her grave myself.
"You're not bleeding anymore," Pugsley pointed to my stomach.
"You're correct. I feel as if I'm immortal. Now that I'm fine, we need to aid Enid. Who knows if she's still standing," I jumped off the table.
"We'll be right behind you darling," my mother vocalized.
I nodded and left in a hurry to search for the werewolf. My family stayed behind me as I rushed out the door and down the porch. My heart pounded hard on its own, afraid of what my eyes would see near the woods.

Enid strolled throughout the woods like a zombie. Her legs were wobbly, and her body felt heavy. Thankfully, she managed to find the ring glistening from the moonlight. The blonde woman pushed herself to keep going after battling Tyler by leaving the wooded area. Her mind ran wild about Wednesday's physical condition. She anticipated her partner was still alive. Fortunately, the raven is.
Stumbling out of the entry of the woods, Enid found Wednesday jogging with the rest of the Addams family. The couple's eyes broadened when they were aware that they were both still breathing. The sight of the beast all beaten and bloodied gave Wednesday the power to sprint to the lycan. Sinclair wished to run towards the psychic, but her body ran out of energy.
It didn't matter to Enid because the woman she loves engulfed her into a hug. The vivid creature slightly winced from the injuries she sustained, but she ignored the pain. Rather, Wednesday embracing her made her feel as light as a feather. This was their first real hug. Their arms wrapped around each other, holding on as if one of them will leave. Wednesday enjoyed the moment so much that she'll beg Enid to hug her more than once per day.
Both girls were relieved that it was over. No more Tyler. No more Hyde. No more threats. During the bear hug, small sobs escaped from the werewolf. Addams pulled back to see Enid's eyes filled with tears. Even with blood splattered all over her face, the goth found her beautiful and daydreaming. Besides complimenting Enid, she wondered why her future wife is tearing up.
Like a mind reader, she answered, "I-I'm sorry. I'm just so happy you're okay. I was worried sick about you."
"The feeling is reciprocal. My heart would be broken and ripped apart if I ever found you perished," Wednesday truthfully told Enid.
"Well... I'm here and so are you," Enid carefully wiped her tears away with a smile plastered.
"I'm grateful we didn't succumb to death. Especially you, Enid."
"Yeah. The best part is that I defeated Tyler, and I found your ring as well."
"You did?" Wednesday sounded shocked.
"Yup. I have it in my pocket," Enid responded before digging in the pocket of her coat to take out the jewelry.
After she did, the wolf held it out for Wednesday to grab. The psychic reached over to take it and slid it back onto her ring finger. Surprisingly, no damage or scratches were on the ring. It appeared just like brand new.
"Thank you, Enid," softly, the raven thanked the woman.
"Anything... f-for you-"
The werewolf suddenly collapsed into Wednesday's arms. Her eyes were shut with shallow breaths. Her head laid onto Wednesday's chest while her arms hung by her waists. The Addams family ran to Wednesday and helped carry the passed out blonde back to the house. The braided pigtail girl stuck by Enid's side to make sure she's not on the verge of death while Morticia cleaned and stitched the lacerations she experienced.
Wednesday clutched Enid's hand as she waited for her to wake up. The family discussed what to do with Tyler's body until Wednesday thought of a great idea to burn it into ashes. And that's what they did. They went as far as to drive far and drop Galpin's ashes into a hole and bury it. The weight of everyone's shoulders, especially Enid and Wednesday's, were lifted. There was nothing to worry about. Or so they thought.
Two days later, Enid wasn't in agony from the fight. She no longer had to stay in bed and already gained her strength back. New scars were attached to her body which Wednesday absolutely loved but despised Tyler for adding more. Because of the occurrence, Gomez decided to tell the Sinclair family about the situation like any parent would tell another parent about their child being in danger.
Esther and Murray were ready to take a flight and visit their daughter. When Enid heard the news, she was ecstatic that they might have a chance to redeem themselves and feel sorry for her. But it was the opposite of what Enid would've wanted. When they arrived, her parents didn't bother to greet the Addams family.
Instead, they burst through the front door and looked for Enid throughout the house. Once they did, Esther dragged her out of the home. The Addams family even went after them, Wednesday being furious and everyone else confused.
"Let's get out of here, Enid. This isn't the place for you," Esther told her daughter without further explanation.
"Hold on. What's going on?" Enid yanked her hand away from her mother.
"The Addams clearly tried to kill you. I'm not allowing you to marry a complete murderer and be a part of a lunatic family," the lycanthrope mother glared at the family behind Enid.
"You're not making any sense. They didn't try to murder me. It was somebody else that tried hurting us. I happened to save them. You are making stuff up," the scarred beast defended the Addams.
"I don't care Enid! They're dangerous individuals you, as my daughter, are living with. The marriage is off. So is our business collaboration, and we are going home as a family," Esther attempted to grab her daughter's hand but failed to do so.
Enid was about to speak up for herself and the Addams until Wednesday did it for her.
"We are her family now. Someone such as yourself should be repentant to be known as a mother. You were the one to set Enid in this circumstance. Not to mention you laid your filthy claws on my girlfriend when she was young. You gave her those scars on her face as a reminder that she's ignominious to you. Your behavior and comments will not slide by me on behalf of Enid," Wednesday intensely claimed.
On the side of her shoe, she swiftly withdrew a dagger and pointed the tip of the blade underneath Esther's chin. In fear, she raised her hands in surrender, but her expression was smothered with loathe. Murray remained silent and watched everything unfold in front of him. Enid and the Addams stayed still, curious as to what steps Wednesday would take.
"Girlfriend, huh? She really trusts you and vice versa. I don't have any idea as to what my daughter sees in someone as psychotic as y-"
"Shut up! Don't speak to her that way. And for you to say I'm your daughter is absolutely meaningless. I'm nothing to you. I tried to make you happy, but it only destroyed parts of me. I don't want to see you or dad ever again. You come back and my new family and I will force you to run away from us forever. It's a promise," Enid gritted her teeth with claws extending.
Esther scoffed and uttered, "You're just like your brothers. Thinking that you're in control of us. But you know what, Enid? Murray and I will gladly stay out of your miserable life. I hope nothing but the worst for you. Enjoy being married to someone who never cared about you. Let's go, Murray," Esther walked away from the family as Wednesday lowered her dagger in disappointment for not being able to stab the elder woman.
Murray was about to follow her, yet he halted himself. He turned his head to stare at his daughter one last time. He also had the courage to say something to the young Sinclair.
"I'm sorry," Murray apologized with guilt all over his face.
"Just... go," Enid provoked her father.
Murray didn't say anything else and walked away. Enid's parents entered inside the car they took to drop by and drove away from the property without glancing back. Wednesday stared at Enid who had her eyebrows furrowed while watching the vehicle go on the street.
The psychic queried, "You okay?"
Enid whirled her head to gaze at Wednesday in which she grinned and declared, "I am! I'm glad they are out of my existence. They were very toxic, and it's something I wouldn't want in my future. Preferably, I want you guys in my life."
"You already are," Gomez announced openly.
"Gomez is right. You changed all of our lives for the better. And now, both you and Wednesday can determine how to move forward without obstacles in your way," Morticia reported to the couple.
"Well, I'm ready to make many memories as an Addams. What about you, Willa? Are you ready to spend the rest of your lifetime with me?" Enid asked the goth.
Wednesday paused for a second before answering, "I'm vowed to you so yes. I'm ready to linger by your side for eternity."
Enid couldn't help, but beam at the statement. In a span of three years, the two women spent most of their months together. Wednesday's dream came true of becoming a dedicated author after a year and a half of writing her most-selling novel. Enid even made a cookbook that turned out to be sold internationally.
Despite their lives being busy with talk shows, interviews, and invited to gatherings with famous celebrities, they managed to get married after three and a half years of being together. Their wedding turned out to be memorable for the newly wedded couple. Nonetheless, Wednesday and Enid are happy their lives are going smoothly.
Together, they noticed growth in the family. Pugsley finished school and is off to build and sell weapons legally. Gomez and Morticia are continuing to construct houses and chose to go to other countries to meet with buyers. Thing and Lurch are directors and producers of a cooking show alongside Enid. Fester took a break from committing crimes and spent more time with the Addams family.
Bianca and Xavier are currently dating and eventually met Yoko and Eugene when they visited Enid and Wednesday. Ajax never contacted Enid or his other two friends, breaking the friendship. A hunt for Tyler began after the duel but ended a few months later with no results of his whereabouts. Now, Wednesday and Enid are living comfortably in their own manor next to Morticia and Gomez.
The pair are grateful and fulfilled as to how far they've come. With each other's backs, love, and guidance, they evolved an unbreakable relationship. Thanks to the forced marriage, Enid and Wednesday fell in love and kept their lives in check. They ended up in a happily ever after story starting and ending with the two of them.
The End
