"Today will be the day I tell Wednesday that I love her," Enid whispered to herself.
The palm of her hands laid flat on the bathroom counter while she intently stared at herself through the reflection of the mirror. The beast needed time alone in the restroom to register the most nerve wracking moment she's about to undertake.
Sinclair thought about every scenario that may happen when she finally pours her heart out. The blonde is aware that no matter what Wednesday's unknown feelings are, Enid will support and accept her response to the confession. The consequences will either damage or restore her heart. Whatever it may be, the risk is worth taking.
"First things first, I must prepare everything before she shows up," Enid straightened her body as she exhaled deeply.
She took one last glance of her reflection before switching the lights off of the bathroom and exited. The she-wolf is the only individual in the house. Everyone had left the mansion to provide some given time for Enid to arrange her date with the raven. Morticia and Gomez heard about the special occurrence from the wolf last night before they went to bed.
The couple was instructed to take Wednesday on a short trip to the city while the beast set up in the manor. Pugsley and Thing tagged along with them as Lurch drove their vehicle. The psychic found the idea suspicious since the colorful woman was not invited to join them. Her parents made a lie saying that they wanted to spend quality time with just the Addams family.
Of course, Enid went through with the falsehood and convinced the small Addams that she'll be fine without company. It wasn't solely because Wednesday did not want to leave her behind. For the most part, the dark-humored girl dreads the Hyde will come out of its hiding spot and attack the therianthrope after the Addams family leaves.
Enid assured her that she can shift whenever something strange is going on in or out of the residence and defend herself. Even the eldest couple persuaded their daughter that the bright female can manage being solo. Ultimately, Wednesday backed down from feeling bothered and traveled with her parents away from their home.
Around two hours are left on the clock before Wednesday is dropped off in front of the estate. The rest of the family members will be having dinner at a restaurant while the girls have solitude together. As the whole household is out in the city, Enid was multitasking at a steady pace.
She gathered her props she ordered online and had it delivered at the new address to decorate the dining room. During the process, the blue eyed creature was making dinner and baking at the same time. Occasionally, Enid would take a quick break before continuing her mission on designing her rendezvous.
Learning the things the emotionless woman finds satisfying helped the werewolf massively. She remembers every single detail of what Wednesday is into which makes Enid become creative. With the decor she purchased for one-day delivery, she can put it to use and make the date outstanding for the stubborn girl. It will show Wednesday that Enid took her interests seriously rather than throwing out random ideas to make her happy.
The lists the lycan's friends, Pugsley, and Thing wrote on the paper is what she will follow through. The first step is to have dinner and dessert with spooky additions around the dining room. Enid planned to make the foyer and living room covered with accessories as if she is planning to propose to Wednesday.
The she-wolf constantly checked the time on her phone to determine how much time she had left. The meal and pastry has been made, and the decorations are in place. The last thing Enid must do before her crush arrives is to make herself presentable. Taking off the apron and hanging it up on a hook in the kitchen, she jogged upstairs to Wednesday's room.
There, she searched in both Wednesday and her shared walk-in closet with their own clothes separated. The blonde looked thoroughly in the space as she pulled out articles to wear. Holding her clothing, she left the closet and entered the restroom to get ready. The wolf undressed herself as she switched her worn clothing to the ones she picked.
She applied a white, floral, long sleeve shirt with a red sweater vest. Included with her outfit are pink leggings, a plaid skirt, red socks, and sneakers. To top it off, she brushed her hair quickly before putting on a magenta beret on her head. The last Enid had left to do is her makeup.
The vivid beast pulled a drawer with her cosmetics neatly stacked. She grabbed her red lipstick and slathered a layer of it on her lips. Next is near her eyes. With a makeup brush, she coated it with glittery, pink eyeshadow and colored her eyelids. A minute is what it took to finish off Enid's appearance. Getting one last glance at herself through the mirror pleased the woman enough to head back downstairs.
She looked everywhere in the foyer, living, and dining room to make sure nothing was out of place. Enid walked to the kitchen and served both hers and Wednesday's plate, then took them over to the table. Silverware, napkins, and wine glasses were set properly on the surface.
Now, Enid must wait patiently as her heart beats repeatedly from the nervousness. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait too long. Three minutes is all it took before the creature's ears heard the sound of a door opening from the foyer, indicating that her number one raven had made it back home.
Over to Wednesday, she closed the door behind her until she spotted a significant change in the foyer area that led to the dining hall. On the ground lined up were candles lit up, making a pathway. The house was dim, but Addams can follow the direction of the candles where it leads to. Along with the wax sticks are black feathers scattered as she strolled to the living room.
Wednesday knew this was Enid's doing however she did not know what was her reason for doing so. That was until she came across Enid who was waiting and standing by the table with her hands in front. The psychic checked out the therianthrope from head to toe, seeing that she is nicely clothed and found her to be extremely dashing.
Averting her eyes on the table is a candlelit dinner. A plate of food is displayed with cooked steak, mashed potatoes, and a small portion of salad on the side. A bottle of sparkling apple cider sat next to a vase of roses that Enid dyed in black. Lastly, small, fake skulls were sitting in front of miniature tombstones on the table next to Wednesday and Sinclair's appointed seats.
Glancing around the dining room made her feel like she was in a cemetery based on the theme Enid had planned. Her eyes moved back onto Enid. The multicolored girl didn't want to be silent any longer so she was the first to speak.
"Surprise," she softly spoke as she waved her hands slightly.
"What's this?" Wednesday stared everywhere once more.
"Our third date. I thought in my mind it should be my turn to create something for you just like you did for me by the hill," Enid smiled as the anxiety washed away.
"Intriguing. When I first noticed the candles, I knew you had something to do with it. I couldn't pinpoint the cause of your actions. For you to tell me, I understand. I can piece the unfinished puzzle and say my family were in on this idea of yours. They acted skeptical and skittish which made me want to toss them out of the moving vehicle."
"We had to keep it a secret. I wanted it to be a surprise for you. One that suits you specifically."
"You took the time out of your day to cook and enhance the rooms. What else have you done while my obnoxious family and I were gone, mia lupa?" Wednesday asked.
"You'll find out soon enough, κυρία μου (my lady). Before you do, let's eat shall we?" Enid winked confidently at the smaller woman.
She went around Wednesday to pull her chair out for her to be seated. Addams understood the gesture and plopped down on the cushioned seat. With her arms, Enid pushed the chair just enough for Wednesday to be very close to the edge of the table. The dedicated blonde reached for both the bottle of apple cider and a bottle opener to take off the cap.
Finishing the swift task, the werewolf took Wednesday's wine cup and poured the liquid in. She filled it halfway before stopping and placing the glass back to the surface. Finally, Enid had taken the time to sit across from her former crush and began digging in her dish before it was cold. Wednesday did the same as she enjoyed Enid's cooking.
"I never knew you could speak Greek," the braided pigtail woman stated while cutting her steak into smaller pieces.
"Now you know. I've been trying to learn some Italian words to understand what you guys are saying. Maybe you can teach me? I used Google, but I don't know if it's accurate," Enid said as she brought some mashed potatoes to her mouth.
"In exchange, teach me Greek," Wednesday stared straight at the colorful wolf.
"Deal," the she-wolf grinned bigger at the idea.
Both individuals resumed eating and chatting together mostly about Wednesday's trip with her family. Enid had alerted beforehand that nothing occurred while she was alone in the manor. Wednesday hummed quietly in relief that the Hyde is not out yet to get one of the girls.
Not wanting to frighten each other because of the monster still running around loosely, Enid had carried out a little sponge cake for dessert after both of them finished their dinner. Half of it was the color black, and the other half was pink. With a knife, Sinclair cut the pastry in half and placed the portions on separate plates. She handed Wednesday her signature pigment cake as Enid took her own.
Once more, they devoured their fluffy loaf, happily having a pleasant evening with one another. Enid can say in her mind that step one can be marked off. Now she is onto the second step. The lycanthrope picked up the dirty dishes and cleaned the table with the help of Wednesday. After they had finished cleaning, Enid moved on to step two.
"Let's go outside. There's another surprise waiting out there for you," the beast was eager for her admirer to see what she had done.
Wednesday nodded and followed her through the rooms to outside of the mansion. The pair went around to the back of the house where the compacted cemetery is built. With a remote in Enid's hand, she clicked on a button, turning on lights that are visible and surrounded throughout the graveyard.
The lights were red to make the cemetery creepier in Enid's mind. There was a touch of lit candles, fake spider webs, and bones lying on the dirt and tombstones. This particular part of the therianthrope's plan is her favorite.
"Tadaa! What do you think?" Enid wondered as she felt accomplished herself.
"It's... beyond comparable," Wednesday's eyes grew wide at the breathtaking sight.
"I'm glad you think so," Enid utters before grabbing Wednesday by the wrist and safely tugging her to the cemetery.
While the dark haired raven was distracted from the decorations, Enid let go of Addams and pulled out her phone from her pocket. She turned it on and rapidly opened a music app. The creature scrolled and searched for a certain song to play. Little did Wednesday know, there is a small speaker hidden close by that is already connected to Enid's electronic.
She found the song and tapped on it to play. The music didn't blast really loud to make Wednesday flinch. Instead, she was confused about what was happening. That was until she turned to find Enid with an arm stretched out.
"May I have this dance?" The blonde extended her hand towards the freckled woman.
Wednesday stared at her hand and didn't take it after a couple seconds passed by. It led to Enid's big beam becoming a small one. She then dropped her hand and put both limbs behind her back.
"I'm sorry. I had a hunch you wouldn't want to dance. I thought I would give it a try in case," the blonde said with a bit of an embarrassed feeling that's profusing.
"Don't apologize. It's not necessarily that I don't want to dance with you," the psychic eyed the scarred female.
"What is it then?" The werewolf softly asked the smaller girl.
"I'm unaware of how to slow dance," Wednesday disclosed with a bit of guilt written on her face.
Did I drive you away?
Enid couldn't help but smile before saying, "Don't worry Wens. I'll teach you. Just follow my lead, and you'll be a pro."
I know what you'll say.
The raven agreed with the idea and permitted Enid to guide her. The she-wolf grasped Wednesday's hand and wrapped them behind her neck. Cautiously, Sinclair put her own hands on Wednesday's hips. Enid then began gently swaying both their bodies together to the song.
You say, "Oh, sing one you know."
Their eyes gazed into each other in the dark setting with stars twinkling in the sky as they watched the couple dance slowly. With the lyrics of the music flowing by, Enid wanted to show Wednesday why she chose this song.
"But I promise you this... I'll always look out for you. Yeah, that's what I'll do," Enid sang as she meant every word to her crush.
I say, "Ohh."
I say, "Ohh."
Wednesday felt as if she's on cloud nine. If anyone dared to sing to the dark humored girl, she would've suffocated them. But when it's Enid, she wants to hear more of her lovely, beautiful voice. It's an addiction of hers she cannot get rid of. She needs more of Enid right next to her like Gomez and Morticia must be together twenty-four seven.
"My heart is yours. It's you that I hold on to. Yeah, that's what I do," the blonde imitated the lyrics while getting sucked into Wednesday's darkened eyes.
I know I was wrong, but I won't let you down.
Leisurely, Enid ducked her head down to collide her forehead against Wednesday's. The psychic didn't mind the wolf's touch anymore. She's comfortable and feels secured in the hands of Enid Sinclair. With her velvety blue eyes glancing at her own pitch black eyes, Addams sensed a powerful tingling sensation.
Her black heart pulsed every second it gets during the duration of staring at a goddess. And that goddess is blushing from how close she is to Wednesday. Never had she imagined herself in this predicament. Enid knows her friends, Thing, and Pugsley deserve whatever they want. And now step two is almost up.
"Yeah, I saw sparks... Yeah, I saw sparks," Enid intoned, repeating the words over to the love of her life.
Those were the last words she sang as the music slowly came to a finish.
Sing it out.
Nearing the end of the song, neither of the ladies wanted to let go of each other. Enid kept her hands still on Wednesday's hips. The young woman had her hands resting on Enid's neck, but she steadily moved them to her jawline, bringing them as close as possible. The creature was howling inside as she wanted to hug, kiss, and tell Addams she loves her a million times. For the last part, Wednesday beat her to it.
"Ti amo," Wednesday had the courage to delicately say the three important words in Italian to the werewolf.
Enid knew what that meant thanks to searching it up on the internet beforehand in her spare time. Hearing it come from Wednesday first brought light to her eyes and a fulfillment emotion rushing throughout her body. The third step is to tell the spooky girl she feels the same. And that's what she did finally.
"Ti amo anch'io," Enid whispered faintly, words filled with pure love.
Sinclair's pronunciation was slightly off, but Wednesday didn't mind it. She found the lycan to be endearing for trying to say it back in Italian. If there's anything the duo recognizes, it would be the growth they developed together as the months went by. Now here they are, exchanging their intense feelings for each other.
One last step before the date is over is to kiss the girl. Finding it as a step in the paper, Enid thought there was no way Wednesday would kiss her. Although, it turned out to be entirely wrong for the therianthrope. Not when the raven's nose is touching hers, and those alluring eyes keep glancing down at those glossy lips.
Knowing that Wednesday is an impatient person, she couldn't prevent herself from capturing Enid's lips with her own. The blonde had to process the action she pulled off before allowing her mouth to move in sync. They both deepened the sweet and passionate kiss.
Sparks electrified the opposite couple from the overflowing feelings of intimacy between them and the kiss. Wednesday detected herself as a new person after declaring her love to the werewolf. Enid would admit the feeling is mutual. They acknowledged that they are meant to be loved by each other. The final step is completed.
Fifteen seconds is what it took before the lovers were able to pull away from the kiss. They kept their foreheads touching with their hands still in place. They took a minute to relax their hearts and comprehend the moment they shared. It did not take much time when Enid had something to say.
"Gosh Willa. I love you so much, words can't explain the things I would do for you. I am deeply in love with you no matter what anyone says. I will wrap my hands around your heart with love for as long as I live. You mean the absolute infinite universe to me, Wednesday Addams," she spilled her entire heart out.
The freckled being enjoyed her sappy statement. She knows Enid was genuine and sincere for what she'd do for her. It is now Wednesday's turn to express the emotions she felt during her weeks with the she-wolf.
"My vision was black and white, until I met you. You shone the light into my dark life and trained my soul to love you with huge differences in our lives. I will forever cherish the memories we had and continue to do so for the rest of my lifetime. I'm devoted to you as you are to me. You're not getting rid of me anytime soon, Enid Sinclair."
"I'm not planning to. You're mine for eternity."
"Likewise, pup," Wednesday held an amused look.
The blonde flashed a huge smile thanks to her dream coming true. She swooped down to get a swift peck from Wednesday which she fully granted. Both females were content as they had voiced their feelings without rejection. Because of Enid's effort, Wednesday found the date to be out of this world. It also gave her a push to reveal her emotions. If it weren't for the spectacular moment, none of them would've known that they love each other.
——————————
The new couple were done for the night and went inside the house to take away the decorations and put them in a box. Wednesday kept some for memories and to style her room. Once they finished clearing the rooms, the rest of the Addams family returned home from dinner.
"Oh, there are the lovebirds we've been seeking! Do tell us how everything went. Did you two say the three magical words?" Gomez questioned excitedly.
"In fact, we did. We kissed, told each other how we felt, and claimed that we're bound together. You can refer to us as partners, lovers, girlfriends, soulmates, fiancées, or wives. Whatever suits your preference, we could care less," Wednesday folded her arms and gawked gravely at her family.
Everyone had their mouths dropped except Lurch and Thing if only he had one. Beside those two, Pugsley, Morticia, and Gomez didn't expect their family member to drop the bomb. Enid was joyful to listen to Wednesday answer her father's question instead of lying or ignoring it. It's a huge improvement to the wolf's eyes.
"I'm impressed darling. You've learned the Addams way by romanticizing the one you want. My visions are never false," Morticia pointed out and simpered, looking pleased with herself.
"Visions?" The raven tapered her brows.
"Yes, my visions. I visioned you and Enid falling in love together. This was two months prior to you two meeting for the first time. That is when Enid's parents contacted us to have you both marry one another. Your father and I agreed with the idea because of my vision, and now here we are," the tall woman clasped her hand jointly.
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Enid jumped in the conversation.
"If I did, you and Wednesday would've ran away rather than acting on your feelings. Your lives would be wretched," Morticia clarified further.
"That's... actually true," Sinclair agreed.
"It is. On that account, Gomez and I made a decision to terminate our collaboration with your parents. Therefore, both of you are free to do whatever satisfies your needs. We won't force either one of you to work in our company unless you'd like to."
"Neither of us would want to. However, I must thank you and father for possessing me to become acquainted with Enid. Indeed our lives will be nothing but misery," Wednesday's face rested.
"Yes! Thank you!" Enid exclaimed happily.
"Anything for our daughter and daughter-in-law," Gomez grinned like a proud dad.
Today is a successful and a tremendous day. The psychic and werewolf seized each other's hearts. A bonus would be no longer taking over their parents' businesses. They have a lot of weight lifted off their shoulders. But there is some weight that's holding them back. The Hyde is still roaming the property of the Addams.
The couple knows the monster will reach them no matter the circumstances. All Enid and Wednesday can do is continue playing detectives. Even after finding love, the pair are willing to do whatever it takes to bring down the culprit. And they are ready to brawl.
