The Backup is not being updated, but the revised version of this fic, The Wolf Spider, is!.He can change everything, possibly even the world.-Romance in the Red Room was always forbidden. It was for children, for the weak, for the unfocused.Upon being able to walk, the result of a certain romance was used as a test subject for the alternate, originally unsuccessful Wolf Spider Ops Program. With one bite, he went from sick with hunger to lean with muscle, oblivious to aware, a commodity to a backup.At ten years old, he was given to a new instructor for deeper training. Little did the boy know that it would mean the beginning of the family he always longed for.He grew up hearing the phrase "Cut one head, two shall take its place." He was made to be one of the two to grow back, and despite now having a family, he could never forget it. He was there for when the man he idolized, his papa, needed help or had failed, and nothing else was keeping him alive.(Alternate Spiderman backstory, in which Peter is the son of the Winter Soldier and the Black Widow. HYDRA makes him into Spiderman, into the Winter Soldier's backup plan.)

My summary sucks, but I hate it when summaries give away the whole story.I don't want to translate Russian wrong, so most of the Russian will be bolded and italicized. If I translate, I want to do it right or close to it. I don't know enough about Russian to translate it properly. Despite the fact that I'm part Russian...This follows the MCU timeline and movies. It really goes into affect at Civil War.

Hello everyone! It's been a while, but I'm here with very good news (:

As some of you may have noticed from recent comment replies, I have been trying to get back to writing this fic. I love the plot and everything about it. However, that block is still there. So, at the start of spring, I tried to find a way to get rid of the association this fic unfortunately has with my grief. I began to go back and revise and rewrite the fic. Fully reworking it, fixing things that I felt should be fixed, fixing things that have changed as the MCU has grown that my original outline didn't factor in.

I currently have four chapters done. As this experiment worked and I'm now engaged in the story again the way I really wanted to be, I will be posting it here!

The original fic, The Backup, will still be here. I can't bring myself to delete it, because so many heartfelt comments are in these chapters. Instead, I will be editing this version with warnings and notes, to turn people to the newest version, The Wolf Spider. The Wolf Spider will be attached to the original fic, as another work in a series, and be labelled as the one that is being updated.

I'm so excited to share the new plotlines with you all, as well as the plotlines I unfortunately never got to write for the original version. LETS GO!!
