The entrance exam
It was a very bright day as if mocking the students on their possible failure in the exam. Many students had gathered from bright, starry eyed kids, to aggressive, and confident kids. But out of the two the brunette could be described as neither for he was walking along with a bored expression sparing no glance to his surroundings. The kids seemed to be moving in crowds making it easier for him to blend in as they made their way to UA.
With the rest of crowd he entered through a door and into a large stadium . He awkwardly went past the people to get to his seat whispering sorries and excuse me’s as they sent annoyed glances.
Finally he got there and loudly plopped onto his seat ignoring further looks pointed towards him.
A hero, present mic, was on stage talking. Dazai couldn’t be bothered to listen and played with the hem of his sleeve before being let out with the rest and then walked (god there’s a lot of walking) to the hall where the written exam was.
He wasted no time filling out the sheet before looking up to see he was the first. Kyoka seemed to be having some trouble but it was nothing compared to the stressed silence of the others.
Deciding she will be fine without his help he raises his hand alerting a blue haired woman who began walking towards him.
“Is everything okay?” She smiled warmly at him as he stifled a disgusted look.
“Im finished. Can I go?”
Her eyes widened in shock, “ are you sure?”
“Yes”
“Well in that case, you can go, but you should check it just in case.”
“No thanks” he replied as he handed her his paper, loudly scraping his chair backwards making as much noise as possible before walking out. Everyone’s expressions all went from winces to hurried glances towards the clock.

Denki walked into the waiting room to see a bandage covered brunette laying sprawled over the floor. Immediately he thought the worst and dashed forward looking for blood or injuries. Upon finding none he reached down to check his pulse only for the brunettes eyes to shoot open.
Coffee brown eyes stared up at him, as the stranger weakly asked , “is the written exam finished yet?”
“No”
“Damn it” the stranger exclaimed as he shot up into a sitting position.
“What were you doing on the floor dude? I thought you were dead!”
“I was practicing my death”
What?
“Anyways I’m dazai osamu, what’s your name?”
“Denki kaminari, also are you okay?”
“Yeah, anyways did you finish early as well?”
“Uhh, well no,” he hesitated. People always looked down on him when he told them he needed extra help due to his dyslexia but then again he doubts this man would say anything considering he was practicing his death. “I’m dyslexic, and so I had it earlier than everyone else cuz the teachers kinda helped me”
“Ohh ok cool. I was getting soooo bored and was considering jumping out the window, but you seem interesting”
“Thanks?”
“Anyways how longs left?” Asked dazai as he slowly gets up and dusts himself off before dramatically flopping into a chair.
“Like 10-20 minutes I think? When did you even finish?” He questioned finding it weird for him to have even been done before the the time limit let alone before him
Instead of replying dazai shrugged his shoulder before pulling out a book with a fabric cover and silently began reading. He found it a bit rude, but just as he was going to ask about the book a few people filed out having finished, and he decided to speak to them instead.
After another 20 minutes or so the rest of the students file out creating an atmosphere of solemn melancholy with their dire expressions. However within seconds it was replaced with excitement for the upcoming practical exam and began rushing towards their assigned areas.
——————————————
Upon arriving at the gates of the practical exam dazai took notice of students from the same schools clumping together, most of which were either panicking about the test, or loudly making fun of anyone who didn’t seem to have a strength, or visibly strong quirk
Honestly the system of it all confused him. How does the most destructive, and dangerous quirks get the status of heroic, while others are branded useless. They are so simplistic to think that the other types couldn’t be equally if not more effective against criminals. But as long as there is some weaknesses to exploit dazai doesn’t really care.
A countdown jolted him from his thoughts as he saw everyone standing at the starting line. At that point he moved a bit closer to the front but not enough to be among the hoards of people but before he even had time to process the go everyone was off. Well. Everyone but him. He didn’t follow the fast paces of others but went at a a leisurely speed. If one were to see him they’d think he was on a casual stroll.
It took a few minutes but he finally came across a robot. By the looks of it, it was a 2 pointer. It hadn’t detected him yet so he quietly approached it before grabbing its tail? Leg? Before grabbing one of its mechanical limbs, immediately it attempted to swing it off but he was hard to get rid of, in both a metaphorical, and physical sense. And in seconds he had swung himself onto his back where it was unable to reach. A design flaw if u ask him .
After playing around with some wiring and implementing a small virus he swung off and walked away from the fully intact robot looking for more
It wasn’t long before he had accumulated a reasonable amount of points, and even shorter before disaster sruck. Only what could be considered as a monstrously sized robot appeared as if out of thin air but, then again he was zoned out walking around not neeing any more points but that’s not the point. The point is that there was a giant robot that could probably kill us all with no point value so of cource he should take the most reasonable course of action. And so he began running towards the robot.
Death by squishing would be quite painful but on the other hand this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Who gets to say they got killed by one of UAs “safety checked” robots. Plus I don’t think even mori could mind so much with such a beautiful lawsuit for him to work with.
However with the rate he was running it seemed like he’d never get there. To avoid the mass people running away he took a different path, a longer path. And honestly he hadn’t bothered to make a mental map of this maze of a town beforehand so here he was. In front of a dead end with the beautifully monstrous robot in his direct line of sight moving away.
Damnit. he turned and began running out of the alleyway before turning into another. A few more turns left DAMNIT another dead end.
However before he could even start to turn out of this dead end he saw his beloved robots face get crumpled in and then a boy falling.
With no more reason to pursue the robot he turned with a dejected sigh and began the slow walk back to the exit.
Apparently many people had been injured and yet no one was planning on sueing the school for this.
He was yet to have his first day of school and yet he still dreaded it knowing one thing for certain
This school is going to be so annoying.
