Tangle trudged through the snow, a loud crunch echoing through the forest with every step as she walked through the snowy pine forest, snowflakes raining down alongside an earthy smell in the air, a cold, bitter winter having recently arrived.
She was wearing a large, puffy yellow coat alongside orange mittens, a large pair of almost oversized boots, and a celeste blue beanie with darker blue snowflake patterns dotted along it. She was walking next to Blaze, heavily uncomfortable in not only the ridiculous, puffy coat but the biting, chill wind aswell. She would, originally, head out into the cold wearing her usual attire- but the last time she did that, she caught a cold and wasn't allowed to fight badniks until she was better.
Blaze was, at the very least, slightly more prepared than Tangle for the cold- she despised winter, but Tangle managed to convince her to go camping with her- Neither of them thought it would this cold.
Blaze, following Tangle in the freezing cold with a large, warm tailcoat jacket and sweater underneath, alongside trousers and boots more suitable for the cold and a warm, fluffy scarf,somewhat regretted her decision.
"Brr. Sure is cold, huh?" Tangle spoke jokingly, although a slight nervousness was visible in her voice, shaking due to the cold. She grabbed her tail, pulling it close to herself to help gather warmth as she could see her icy breath when she spoke.
It was freezing- the winter seemed almost neverending, as Tangle went deeper into the forest, knocking against multiple leafy tree branches as she first entered.
Blaze gave her a concerned look- neither of them were exactly the most well-prepared for this winter, and Blaze, herself, couldn't stand the cold.
"Very much so." Blaze replied in a worried tone- She wasn't exactly upset, more akin to irritated thanks to the terrible weather- And she wasn't exactly happy with seeing Tangle uncomfortable, either.
As they continued walking through the snow, Blaze turned to Tangle-
staring at her for a brief moment, before she reached out her hand towards Tangle, a small flame flickering above her palm.
"Here." Blaze spoke as Tangle stopped in her tracks, holding the fire close to Tangle.
"This...should keep you warm." Blaze continued as she revealed the flame to Tangle, warming the area around them slightly. Tangle turned to Blaze and smiled sweetly, before turning back towards the forest to keep on walking, speaking softly as she turned,
"Thanks, Blaze."
Blaze followed beside her, holding the fire near Tangle to keep her warm as they continued to walk throughout the forest,
Despite the endless snow and raging wind,
It felt somewhat calm.
A gentle silence in the air, instead of the sounds of howling wind and pouring snow.
Because, despite the horrible cold and unkind weather,
Blaze was there, walking alongside her,
and that alone brought a smile to Tangle's face.
