A New Plan
Three stood around still barely able to comprehend that they had been duped like that and now Gorr had abducted nearly all of New Asgard’s children. “We need to regroup. See what damage was done.” Jane suggests as she stands back up “You’re people are warriors and I’m sure those kids are made of tough stuff.” Peter tried to assure “Let’s go.” Thor says as they all begin to walk back to the village as the sun slowly rises on the horizon.
By the time they arrive at the town hall it is pure chaos of parents begging for their children to be found and soldiers being rushed around to infirmary or other areas. “I promise we will find your kids but we all need to calm down for a moment!” Valkyrie announced loudly over the sound of everyone. “She is very loud.” Venom says keeping itself hidden and as a result only Peter hears it and yet he still silences the symbiote “Shh.” He says placing both his hands on his belt as the two watched Thor and Jane step forward.
“As your crown prince of Asgard, I promise to find and save all your children from the clutches of Gorr and I will bring back his head to show that nobody shall threaten my people and get away with it!” He loudly announced. It wasn’t his usual attitude when he attempted to rally the guardians, this was rage that fuelled him. “We’ll make sure that there isn’t a scratch on them.” Jane assured the parents as Valkyrie called her forth as the two women discussed a plan as Thor watched Mjolnir move further away as he stepped back to where Quill was stood with the rest of the guardians.
Drax was the first to speak of the lot of them “He looks at the hammer the same way he looks at you.” The warrior said “What? No he doesn’t.” Quill shook his head and waved it off “If you think that then you really are blind, Quill.” Rocket agrees as even Mantis joins in “He watches it with such admiration and love that-“ She is interrupted by Peter who silences them before it can get worse “Okay I think that’s enough of that.” The captain says but spots that his boyfriend was trying to subtly call out to the hammer with his fingers slightly reached out. His feet seemed to move on autopilot and he leaned forward to try and gauge what the thunder god was really doing. In his own jealousy he failed to notice how Stormbreaker was mimicking his own action and leaned forward just like him. “
Thor was surprised for a moment and laughed nervously “Ah there you are! I was just thinking about you.” He said grabbing the axe and smiling at Quill. “What’cha doing there, Thor?” Peter asks with a quirk of his brow that the axe seemed impersonate with a slight tilt of itself upwards. “I’m not doing anything.” He said too quickly waving his hand around “Sure.” Quill nods and looks aside before Venom slithers out subtlety reaching for the thunder god’s hand and both Thor and Quill feel the momentary connection to each other.
Peter felt Thor’s jealousy that his hammer had chosen another and Thor felt Peter’s jealousy over the fact that Thor cared for the hammer more than him and the two exchanged a look. “Oi! Star-Boy and sparkle fingers. Are you even listening?” Valkyrie asks with a gesture “Yeah, totally.” Star lord says not even bothering to correct her as Thor just beamed a smile childishly. “Well we need a way of getting the shadow realm.” She says with her hands on her hips. “And you don’t have one?” Rocket asks getting various looks from everyone else “What? You have everything else including magic.” The explosive expert says.
Valkyrie shakes her head “You’re rabbit speaks?” She asks the other guardians “HEY I’M NOT A-“ He begins to shout but is cut off by Mantis touching his fur and saying “Calm down.” And Rocket settles in seconds. “If you’re talking about the Milano then she might be the fastest ship and has a great crew with a handsome captain but she isn’t built to go into the ‘shadow realm’. Isn’t that from a TV show?” Peter’s attitude changes rapidly recalled the one animated show he had seen being tossed around in space at one point.
“It’s not that Shadow realm.” Jane says as Valkyrie explains why “The shadow realm is the location that Gorr has taken the kids and from what we gather, plans to hide out until he can attack again.” She says and Thor realises that they could just use Stormbreaker “Why don’t we just use this?” He asks lifting the axe up “I mean with how it’s been acting lately.” The king implies “We could maybe use it if it had a focus lens. Something the narrow down its…recklessness.” Jane suggests and the others seem to agree.

Following the plan making, Peter ordered the guardians to watch over the town and make sure that the Milano didn’t blow up. And soon enough the people were organizing supplies onto what appeared to be some amalgamation of a modern ship and an old Norse rowboat. “Essential supplies only!” Valkyrie shouted before seeing a key of mead being dragged out “Wait, now that is essential.” She said before spotting something was missing. 3 of the 4 people making the venture to omnipitancity were accounted for including herself but the new Mighty Thor was no where to be seen as Peter seemingly tried to show off by lugging a metal box only for the weird gooey creature to have to save him by covering his arms and lifting it for him presumably, at least Thor seemed amused.
The king stepped around before eventually spotting that the temporary housing that had been given the two newcomers and Thor had its door slightly ajar. She stepped inside and heard the sound of something smashing and wood splintering. Probably nothing that couldn’t be fixed. Valkyrie knocked quickly and hear something being picked up before the door was opened and Jane stood with a smirk. “What can I help you with?” She asked seemingly nervous for no real reason “Just wanted to see if you’re fully prepared.” The king says with a wink
“Well I’ve got the hammer and everything else in hand. Ready to go.” Jane waggling her eyebrows for a second with a smirk “I’m sure you do.” Valkyrie says as the two walk back to the rowboat where they see two large goat like creatures being pulled along. “I thought you could use the help.” Quill says with a big smile and two thumbs up and the action was all too deliberate. The animals were tied to the bow of the ship as the four heroes boarded it. “Let’s revise the plan.” Jane suggests.
“Step 1: We take storm breaker and get to this city of the gods.” She starts.
“Step 2: We rally a badass army of them and show Gorr what’s what.” Peter adds.
“Step 3: We save the kids and return them to their parents.” Thor explains.
“And lastly, step 4: We are hailed as heroes once again and if we fail we have our places cemented in Valhalla.” Valkyrie finalised.
There was no possible way that this could go wrong.
