Only Us Can Bring Strength

Blake was sharpening her Gambol Shroud. She still couldn't do much due mostly the mentality that she's not okay. Blake feels weak. Even after what Yang told her, Blake feels so weak. A burden.

If...

If only she was stronger.

"Hey Blake!"

Yang comes outside, finding her sitting at the porch, to which Yang joins. Blake's ears folded but she looks at Yang. Still having that smile.

"How have you been doing?"

Blake responds with a shrug, looking back at her weapon. Making Yang frown. She leaned forward, trying to look at Blake's face.

"Blake?"

"I've- I've been thinking about what you said in that cave."

"Oh! Good! Hopefully that made you feel better and stuff." Yang smiled. Blake sighs.

"Yeah." Blake mumbles. Yang noticed how quiet Blake got. She tilts her head. Blake's ears were folded. She was looking away.

Blake is upset again. Yang sighs. Till she got an idea. She moved her hand, hesitant, but she puts her hand on Blake's head. Catching Blake by surprise. Yang was petting Blake's head.

Her ears no longer folded but it was tilted. Blake didn't say anything, but it didn't look like she hated it. In fact... what's that feeling?

"Blake... are you purring?"

Blake turns a bit pink. "Y-Yes. Yes I am."

Yang's cheeks turned pink, this was so cute! Yang kept petting. Blake sighed. She might as well just put down her weapon and do it later. So she did that, and Blake sat there with her legs crossed. Looking ahead as Yang was inching closer, continuing to pet.

Blake can't remember the last time anyone petted her. It was considered a Faunus thing, since most didn't want humans doing it. But Blake trust Yang. A lot. So she didn't mind Yang petting. But Blake... Blake felt loved. This was affection that Yang was giving. Intentional or not.

Blake felt loved. Her eyes slowly closes. She can feel her body relaxing. No longer tensing up. Her thoughts seems to wander off. Before Blake was really getting into it, Yang stops.

Blake turns her head towards Yang with a squeak. Yang blinked before smiling big.

"I can keep going if you like" Blake didn't realize that her staring at Yang meant she was begging for Yang to continue. And that's what she wanted but it was still embarrassing. Blake looks at her lap before nodding shyly. Yang continues to pet Blake.

Blake didn't want to tell Yang but, like she said, it's a Faunus thing. It's to show love. Not even normal friends do it. It's something lovers or families do. Close people. A sign of love and trust.

Blake then noticed Yang was up against Blake's back. Just like what happened in the cave. "I heard that cats purring can speed up healing. Maybe I'll be back in health faster with you."

"So you want to have me sleep with you then?"

"Wh-wha? I mean. Sure why not. I don't see why we can't. We are close friends right? I trust you Blake."

"Yeah... friends." Blake mumbles to herself. Wait hang on! Yang is okay with Blake sleeping with her!? "Wait what?!"

Yang almost laughed at that but she held it in. "Yeah. It's okay if you don't wanna do that."

"N-No its fine. I- I'll join you tonight."

"Yayyy!" Yang wrapped her arms around Blake tightly. Blake gasped. Her eyes goes wide.

"Blake." Adam wraps his arms around Blake from behind.

"Adam please. I, I don't feel comfortable with this yet." The young teenager asked. Adam frowns.

"Blake, I'm, I'm hurt. I've been struggling with depression, you know that. Right?"

Blake frowns. She tenses up. She tears up but she holds it back. "Y-Yeah."

"Then... please? Just this one time? You're really cute and soft." Adam tighten his hug.

"Okay..." Blake said. Her personal space was now taken away. Adam will always invade and Blake can't do anything about it.

Blake gave her entire self away. Gave it to Adam. Her life is in Adam's hands.

She will never be same after she left her family for Adam. It was stupid decision, but Blake can't go back. She would be a disgraceto her own kind. Her parents would be furious at her.

Blake can't go back. Her home is Adam. She can't go anywhere. It feels like there's an invisible chain that's preventing Blake from doing anything unless under Adam's order.

"You're so damn cute..."

"Let go please. I don't wanna do this."

"Shhh. Don't beg. I got you Blake. I'll keep you safe." Adam smirks.

"Adam stop... please!"

"Adam!"

"ADAM!"

She gave everything away. Her own life. Her own secrets.

Her own body.

She let's him touch her. It didn't matter. She was his. His only. It didn't matter. Blake chose this. It's her fault. This is her punishment.

Blake was so weak. She couldn't fight. So weak and vulnerable. Blake was weak. Weak. Blake cries to herself that night. She was young. Young and stupid. Blake will never recover. Not when something is taken away forever. No cure or surgery will heal the trauma she received from him.

Opening her eyes the next day was the last thing she wanted. Blake wanted to crumble up and wither away into ashes. No one would know. All they will know is that Blake is a stupid girl who made dumb decisions and now she's getting the punishment for it.

Blake wished she never woke up that morning. She didn't want to be there anymore. So much pain. So much pain she wishes was gone. Blake will never heal.

"Blake. Get up. It's time for our training."

Blake gets up. Ignoring the blood on the bed. She gets clothes on and trains with Adam.

Yang hugging Blake tightly was bringing awful memories. Blake was going through a wave of flashbacks. Yang notices Blake's breathing picking up. Her face was pale too.

"Blake?"

Yang called out. Blake didn't respond. Yang shakes her shoulder before Blake pushes Yang off and standing up to walk away. She stood there hugging her arms.

"Don't... don't ever do that again." Blake shudders as she spoke in a cold voice. Yang knew she did something wrong.

"I- I'll be training. I'll be back by dinnertime." Blake goes to grab her weapon and run off. Yang stood up to call Blake's name. But she didn't listen.

Yang just stood there. Did... she trigger an awful flashback?

"HA!"

SLASH

"HUT!"

BANG

Blake was swinging and shooting her weapons around, aiming at the trees around her. She runs up to a tree, slashing it with her sword. She stabbed it multiple times before stopping, panting. She leans forward, pushing her forehead against the tree. Her legs gives away and she falls onto her knees. Still holding onto her sword as she sobbed.

"God damnit..." Blake moves her hands to her face. Frustrated as she pressed her fist against her eyes. Blake was so angry.

Angry at herself. She would've been so much happier if she never met Adam. He ruined her life. Forever!

"I should've stabbed that mother fucker! I shouldn't have let him pin me on the bed! God I'm so stupid!" Blake shouted at herself. She got up to take out her frustration on the trees again with her weapons.

"Bla-"

Blake swung her weapon. Only to have the figures grab the knife gun with her metal hand. Blake's eyes widened. It was Yang. She almost hurt Yang.

"Yang...!"

"Wow... I can tell you've been busy." Yang then hands Blake back the knife, letting her attach the weapon into a sword.

Yang looks at the trees, seeing a lot of cuts and holes. Blake's ears fold once again.

"Why are you here?" Blake questioned.

"Cause I care about you." Yang turns around, looking at Blake. "Blake. Can you look at me?"

Blake tenses up. But she turned around, facing towards Yang. Her expression was serious but she had obviously been crying.

Blake sniffed as she wiped her tear that escaped. Yang sighs. She walks up to Blake, caressing her cheeks gently before putting her forehead against Blake's.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what painful memory I brought back, but I feel awful about it. I just was trying to make you feel better."

"I know you were." Blake quickly jumps in. She glances up at Yang's eyes. Her eyes sparkling as tears threatened again. She tried to look down and avoid crying but Yang didn't move her hands. Her thumbs was gently petting Blake's cheeks.

"Yang..."

"Is it about him again...?"

Tears overflow as Blake nods. Yang allowed Blake to hug her. "I- I gave myself away to him... he could do whatever he wants with me. I had no control."

"Whatever...? Blake...?" Yang backs up, holding Blake by the shoulder, staring at her with a worried expression. "You don't mean... oh god Blake did he...?"

Blake nodded as she sobbed. Yang immediately yanked her into a hug. "I- I couldn't stop him! I was 14! I- I didn't ask for this!" Blake cried. Yang wanted to cry as well, and she let herself cry.

"You didn't deserve this at all. You deserved to be at home with your parents when you were young. I'm so sorry this happened."

"I-Its my fault this happened...!"

"Blake no. It's not-"

"But it is! It is! I should've fought him! I could've used my semblance! I did this to myself...!" Blake shouted. Yang scowls.

"Blake. You were scared. You froze. There was nothing you could've done. It's not your fault. It's that asshole's fault. You didn't betray him. He betrayed you. He took advantage of you. He pretended to be a good friend. It was never your fault. You were young. You didn't know how the future would've been." Yang said seriously, but her voice got softer as she spoke. Speaking in a comforting voice. Blake sobbed hard. She took in a sharp inhale as she sobbed.

Till she felt a warm feeling on her forehead. This time, it felt different. Sobbing, but she looks up at Yang. Seeing her kissing her forehead. Yang was also crying. She backs her head up to stare at the shocked faunus.

"Hey... it looks like I made you stop crying. Kinda." Yang chuckles. She wipes her tears away. "Sorry. I just hate seeing you like this. I want you to feel safe. I don't want to see you in pain."

"Hey. I'm always gonna be here for you. You have me. Well. A part of me. My other arm is somewhere in the ground of a building or something. So you have almost all of me."

It made Blake laugh a bit as she cried. She stuffs her face against Yang's shoulder. Making Yang giggle.

"There's the smile. I guess we're feline buttery now."

"I hate you..." Blake spoke all muffled. Making Yang laugh. "Hey now that's kinda harsh!"

Blame backs up, wiping her tears away. Yang then poked Blake making her laugh. Yang was really good at cheering people up. Blake didn't expect this but she wasn't crying anymore.

"Okay thats enough!" Blake laughs. She and Yang stare at each other.

"I know trauma will never go away but we can at least work together to keep us going. I won't let my trauma push me back. I'll help you do the same." Yang held her hand out. Blake smiles. She holds Yang's hand.

"I'd like that. Thank you Yang."

"Ah its getting dark. I don't wanna make people worry. Why don't we go home? Dad makes the best dinner." Yang then walked, still holding Blake's hand.

Blake stares at Yang's hand. She then tightens her grip, to which Yang does the same. She really does feel safe with Yang.

And... home.

She's already home. Anywhere she goes, she's home. Because it feels right when Yang is around. If that makes sense.

"ZWEI! Get back insssiideee!" The small corgi hopped in the snow, hopping towards Yang. Blake hissed at the dog.

"Where were you two?! I was starting to get worried!?" Weiss shouted. Yang laughed nervously. Blake noticed something. She didn't feel embarrassed holding Yang's hand. It felt natural.

"Come inside! It's cold!"

"I thought the cold doesn't bother you, Ice Queen." Yang teased. Soon hearing an annoyed groan in the background. Yang and Blake goes inside with Ruby and Zwei. Soon being served with dinner thanks to Tai.

Blake was glad to say she enjoyed dinner.

"Come on big girl." Blake called. Yang climbed onto the roof with Blake. They both sit down. Yang groaning a bit.

"Man I miss being young!"

"You are young though?" Blake smiled as she raises an eyebrow.

"Not with my back hurting it doesn't. Plus. I meant mental wise too. I miss doing things like this. We never get to have time."

"Yeah..." Blake frowns a bit. Yang looks at Blake before smiling.

"But at least it's more fun with someone great like you."

"You flirt." Blake playfully pushes Yang's shoulder who laughed. "But yeah. We are in a war after all. Not really anytime to get a break."

"Well.. then let's enjoy this moment." Yang looks up. To which Blake does the same. They both were stargazing. Enjoying the moment together.

Blake felt a hand on her own hand. They both held hands. They didn't mind. It was for comfort. Though Blake felt her heart pounding. She knows it's more then that. But does Yang feel the same?

"Whoa!" looking up at the sky, they saw the northern lights. "Man that's so pretty. Not as pretty as you are."

"Oh my god that was corny." Blake laughed.

"But it's the truth! I do think you're beautiful." Yang exclaimed. Blake felt her face turn red. Not this again.

"I-I know you told me this before!"

"Awww someone is getting all flustered." Yang teased. Blake fought Yang. Both of them giggling.

"Aww... do you hear that Weiss?"

"Yes and it's killing me." Weiss mumbled while Ruby looks out the window, watching the northern lights. She happened to hear Yang. She is a loud person after all.

"It's cute." Ruby smiles as she smush her cheeks against her arm, watching the sky.

"Hey." Yang was getting comfortable clothing on. She catches Blake's attention, her ears twitching in curiosity.

"You don't have to sleep with me if you're not comfortable."

"I appreciate that but I think this is also good for me to do." Blake folds up her other clothes.

"Kay. Well I'm gonna lay down, my back is killing me." Yang laid down on her bed. Blake joins Yang.

"I don't mind this anyways, after all cats does love warmth." Blake gets under the cover before she laid down. She was unprepared for Yang to pull her into an embrace.

"Is this okay?"

"Yeah."

"Kay. Goodnight Blake."

"Night." Blake whispered before she closes her eyes. Purring as Yang pets her gently. Yang is really warm. It felt good.

Wonder if Yang has questioned about her love life?
