“Agh..shit…” you wipe your blood from your mouth.
You were in a fight with Scorpion. You won the first round but in the second he kept attacking you with his blades which made it harder for you to attack him.
“I can’t lose against him.” you thought.
So you picked yourself up and tried your best and in the end…
“(Y/N) wins.”
You sigh. It was finally over.
As you were stretching and getting ready to leave the battle place, you felt a pair of eyes on you, so you turned around.
“Mileena.”
Little do you know she was looking at you the whole fight. Rooting for you to win.
You and Mileena have been in a relationship for the past 3 months now. You confessed to her at a party and she reciprocated your feelings. It was hard at first because Mileena was never seen as a human, but only as a monstrosity, so she was scared that you would also look at her the same others do. Slowly she accepted and realised that you did actually love her for who she is.
You walk towards her and she starts smiling while opening her arms for you to hug her. No one would ever have the courage to get as close to her as you were now, but here you are, hugging the person everyone feared and wanted dead.
It made you sad. The fact that people couldn’t see her for who she is, but only as a failed experiment, a clone of Kitana that should be dead, a monster. If only they knew how loving and affectionate she can be. How gentle and careful she was with you. How happy you made her and how happy she made you. But at the same time, you didn’t want people to know this side of her except for you. You were seeing a part of her that no one else did and that made you feel special.
“Good job there. You have some nice moves (Y/N). Though you could use some more training.” Mileena says.
“Then you should practice with me more. What’s stopping you?” you asked smiling.
“You should practice with Kitana, not me.”
“Why not? I’m not scared of you, you know that.”
“It’s not that, dearest. I don’t wanna hurt you, even if I never would. But what if something happens? You never know.”
“You know, after all we would be fighting. It’s only normal that you would hit me once or twice. Plus, I like Kitana, but I wanna practice and learn from my lover, not her.”
“Let’s talk about this later. For now, let’s go home. You need a shower.”
“Fine.” you say rolling your eyes and smiling.
She takes your hand and intertwines it with hers. It’s so warm. Just like she makes your heart feel everyday. Warm and happy, like you’re at home when you’re with her.
