Chocolate nut bar
Jason was rushed into the hospital, nurses and doctors rushing him on the gurney.
"We have an 18 year old male, stab wound to lower abdomen" a nurse said who looked like she was just about 21. "make way people, move it or lose it!" she shouted.
"Smoak, calm down a bit" Said another nurse.
"I'm sorry Winchester (yes THAT Winchester), have you got a better idea?" Smoak argued back. Winchester groaned.
"Boy I wish Sammy was here" he said. They rushed Jason into the room to begin working on patching him up and making sure his heart doesn't stop.
"I want those boys who stabbed my baby boy arrested, NOW!" Eliza shouted, tears falling down her face.
"ma'am, I can assure you, we will find out who stabbed your son and arrest them" the cop replied calmly.
"My youngest already told you who stabbed my baby, so why don't you just do your job and find Jacob Longhorn?" Eliza asked. Another cop walked over, it was Adam Harper, Roy's father.
"I got this Philips. Why don't you go talk to Lance and see what you can come up with" Officer Harper says. Philips nods and walks over to Quentin, Laurel's dad.
"Eliza, I promise you, I will find Jake Longhorn. Jason has made my son the happiest kid on earth, and I won't let you lose him" Adam told her, "I promise"
"I can't lose my baby" Eliza sobbed as Adam wrapped his arms around her. Eliza and Adam have been best friends since they were 15. Adam had a crush on Eliza but they ended up marrying different people. To this day, they remained friends.
"I promise I'll get him. He'll pay for what he did to my son in law" Adam whispered, making Eliza laugh.
"You still have a marvelous laugh" Adam told her, making Eliza blush a little bit. They stared into each other's eyes for a moment, but Eliza knew it was wrong. She had Jeremiah, even if he passed away almost two years ago. She cleared her throat.
"I..I better go check on my girls" Eliza told him, Adam nodded, releasing her. He let out a sigh. His wife Erin died five years ago and he still hasn't been able to recover from losing her, of course, his crush on Eliza slowly came back, but he can't be with Eliza, not because she's married,well yes that is a factor, but also because if they were to ever be together, his son and Jason, could not, and his son is his whole world.
"Kara, does mom have a thing with Officer Harper?" Alex whispered as she watched Eliza and Adam hug. Kara shook her head.
"don't be silly, she has a husband" Kara replied. Alex went quiet for a second.
"Yeah..you're right. plus, he's Roy's dad." She told her. The doctors came out. Eliza rushed over, and so did the girls.
"How is he? how's my baby?" Eliza asked.
"He's fine. We managed to stop the bleeding and patch up the wound. He's in recovery now" The doctor told them all. Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh thank God" Alex said. She hugged her mom and Kara hugged them too.
"um, Eliza, is it okay if I go get a snack?" Kara asked shyly, Eliza nodded, handing her $10.
"get me a chocolate nut bar" Alex whispered. Kara nodded and headed to the cafeteria, where she ran into Lena.
"oh, Lena, I'm so sorry" Kara said, apologising.
"It's okay. What are you doing here? is everything okay?" Lena asked, examining Kara.
"No, no, I'm fine, well no, um Jason was stabbed" Kara said in a quiet voice.
"Oh my God, what? by who?" Lena asked as she put an arm around Kara.
"Jake Longhorn" Kara replied, Lena groaned.
"Let me guess, he was with Max" She asked, and Kara nodded.
"I overheard Brandon hurt you. Is this true?" Lena asked.
"umm..no" Kara lied.
"Kara, tell me the truth" Lena said softly. Kara sighed.
"Yes, and he said if I know what's best for me, to stay away from you" Kara said softly.
"What? He can't do that! oh Kara, I'm so sorry, I'll talk to him tonight" Lena told her.
"It's okay.. Um I'm going to get a snack, want to join?" Kara asked, Lena smiled and nodded.
"Sure" Lena said.
"Cool" Kara smiled. They headed into the hospital cafeteria and bought their snacks.
They went back to Kara's mom, Alex pumped her fist in the air as Kara handed her the choco nut bar.
And now it's time to wait for Jason to recover.
