Deal
“So, if we want to, we could have your power?” Rose asked.
“Yes.” Thor said with a smile.
Both teens looked at one another, smiled and shook their heads. “Nah!” Peter said, chuckling. As Rose laughed. “Not interested.”
“What?!” Clint said, shocked at the teens response. “You guys could rule Asgard.”
“Why would I want to do that?” Rose asked.
Peter chuckled. “Yeah, sounds like too mush trouble.”
“You really are saying no to having the powers of a god?” Tony asked.
“Yup.” Rose said, with a pop.
“Plus, using a hammer isn’t my style.” Peter said.
Rose smiled. “You would look weird carrying it.”
“Okay, I could understand that.” Tony smiled.
“Of course you would.” Darcy said, taking a seat on the couch.
“What about you, Rose?” Jane asked.
“I have no need for that power.” Rose stated.
Steve raised an eyebrow at that. “No need for it? Why?”
“I don’t need it.” Rose tuned to him. “Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing but respect for Mjolnir. But I don’t need that power. Yes, it would help. But it would not be my power, it would be Thor’s. How can I help people if I don’t believe in myself?”
“But you use Fang’s power, how is it any deferent then that?” Sam asked.
“Wrong human.” Fang said, appearing out of nowhere. “The mage has not once used my power to fight. She only uses me as a sword. Not as a magic battery.”
“And if I did, it would have to be against someone or something very powerful.” Rose said. “Fang’s magic energy is far beyond anything I can handle.”
“Aye. I heard legends of swords blessed by dragons.” Thor said, walking to the sword. “Their magic is said to be connected to the very heart of magic.” He reached for the sword.
As the god touched the sword a blue wave of energy pushed the hand away. The dragon spirit wrapped its body around the scabbard. “Foolish god. Only they without sin may wield my power.” Fang turned to Rose. “If you have no use for me, I shall take my leave.” Rose nodded and with a flash of blue light Fang despaired.
“Boss, the jet is refuel and ready to depart.” Friday said.
“Thanks, Fri.” Tony said, checking his phone. “Pete? You ready to go?”
“Oh, yeah! I just need to get my bag!” Peter said, running out the room.
“You guys going to be alright?” Pepper said wrapping her arms around Tony.
The billionaire smirked. “I think me can make it one day without you.”
“Don’t worry, Pepper.” Rhodey said, walking up to the couple and placing a hand on Tony’s shoulder. “Me and Happy will make sure he is back in time.”
“I don’t need a babysitter.” Tony said.
“Too bad.”
Pepper chuckled and pulled away. “Thank you, Rhodey.”
“Traitor.” Tony mumbled, then turned to the two men that came with Thor. “Dr. Stellan Mr. Boothby?”
“Yes?” The two answered.
“Did you two bring a suit?” Erik raised an eyebrow as Ian tried to answer. “Dumb question.” Tony stated. “You guys up for a trip to Italy?”
“I’m ready!” Peter stated, walking back into the room.
“You guys have fun.” May said, smiling at her nephew.
“How are you going to Paris without the jet?” Peter asked.
“Rose is going to let us use her gate.” May answered.
“Speaking of which.” Rose said, standing up and looking around. “I should make a gate point here, so we could get back without having to travel fifty miles.”
“Yeah, that will be a good idea.” Pepper said.
Rose looked around the room before walking to a blank space on the wall. She took off her gloves and placed them into her bag. Pulling out a knife and cutting her left hand. Most of the people in the room winced and the sight. Rose tossed the knife behind her, making it float in the air. The mage dabbed two fingers into the wound, soaking them in her blood.
“W-What are you doing?” Ned asked, creeped out by the blood.
Rose just smiled and began to paint the wall. “Making a pathway.” First she made a circle, than a star.
“Please, tell me you’re not going to summon a demon.” Clint said.
“Don’t be stupid.” The mage said, adding runes to the pentagram. “As you can see the star is pointed up. Therefore, this is a pentagram of channeling good energy.” She said, putting one last rune. “Now, I need everyone to be quite for this next part.” Taking her gate card from her necklace and placed it at the center of the star. She began to chant under her breath and slowly get louder.
To everyone, it was a strange language. But to Thor, it was a language he had not heard since his mother was teaching him and his brother. ‘The language of the elves. But how does she know it?’
The gate card was absorbed into the wall, leaving a white light where it was on the wall. The light grow till it was the size of a door, the blood turned black and soon the wall looked to be warped. Rose continued to chant till the doorway was complete. “There.” She said stepping away. “That should do it.” She turned the doorknob, the sound of birds twitting and the smell of fresh air filled the room. The mage took a deep breath before closing the door and made it into a card again. “All done.” She turned to the stun faces of the room.
“DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY LAWS OF PHYSICS YOU JUST BROKE?!” Jane screamed, making everyone cover their ears.
Rose just chuckled. “Funny. Cora and Peter said the same thing when they first saw my gate.”
“That is fucking awesome!” Darcy said. “Can you make one for my room?”
“How is this possible?” Erik asked looking at the card.
“I could explain but we are a bit press for time. So perhaps another time.”
“Okay!” Tony clapped his hand together and walked to the door. “Everyone who is male, come with me.” Peter chuckled as he gave a kiss on the cheek to his aunt and girlfriend, before fallowing the man.
Rose sat down and looked at her phone. “Should we be worried they are going to get in trouble?”
“Caps with them. I’m sure they won’t do anything too crazy.” Pepper said, looking at her phone. “It’s almost time. Everyone ready?”
“Where are we going again?” Darcy asked.
“France.” Pepper stated. “Rose, would you mind?”
“Not at all.” The teen stated and pulled her gate card out. “One magic door to Paris, coming up.” A flick of her wrist and the card flew to the wall. “We’re ready to go.” She said, opening the door.
Time skip
“That spa bath was great.” May said, taking a sip of wine.
“Yes, it was.” Jane said, looking around the dress shop.
“Rose, are you sure you don’t want a new dress?” Pepper asked.
“I’m sure.” Rose said, looking at her phone. “I like making my own clothes.”
“Okay, if you’re sure.” Pepper walked away.
“Now if it was new shoes, I would gladly accept.”
The CEO smiled. “Maybe later.”
“When do we get to see your wedding dress?” Wanda asked, walking up to the CEO.
“Soon.” Pepper smiled again. “I have it at the compound. I had to make Friday block Tony from seeing it.”
“I also had to threatened him for he would leave it alone.” Nat said, with a smirk.
“That man can be so impatient sometimes.” Pepper stated.
May laughed. “I remember Ben on our wedding day. He was so nervous, he almost fainted right there at the altar.” She smiled at the memory. “I asked him what he had him so nervous? And he looked me in the eyes and said: I was worried you would have second thoughts or found someone else.”
“Aww.” Darcy said, smiling at the woman.
“I asked him why would he think that? And he said: Because May you deserve the world, and I don’t know if I can give you everything you deserve.” May was beginning to tear up. “I told him; I don’t need the world I just need you.” Everyone ‘Aww’ at that. “I will never forget that day.” May wiped away her tears.
Rose stood up. “Excuse me for a moment.” She said, walking to the door, leaving the rest of the women to wonder why. Rose walked a down the street and turned into an alley. She came to a stop when she felt a presence behind her. “My, look what I found.” Rose turned fast around and ready her fighting stance. “Quick to a fight.” Loki smiled. “You were taught well.”
“May I ask why you are here?” The girl said, still holding her stance.
The god smiled. “I have come to give a warning as well as a deal.”
Rose narrowed her eyes at the god. “What warning?”
“Simple really.” Loki walked around the mage. “That spider of yours.”
“Which one? We have two.”
“You know which.” The man stated looking at the mage. “Spider-man.”
Rose balled her fist. “What of him?”
“My new acquaintance are after the spider and has made a deal with me to help capture him.”
“What do you want with him?”
“Me nothing.” Loki smiled. “But my acquaintance believes the spider’s blood could be used to heal himself.” The god looked past the mage, to behind a dumpster.
Rose stepped into his line of sight. “And you are telling me this, why?”
The god looked back at the mage. “Because, I don’t trust the mortal that thinks he can command me.” Loki sneered at the thought. “Which is why I am here to make a deal.”
“A deal?” Rose asked, raising a eyebrow. “What kind of deal?”
“In exchange for not taking the spider, you will help me get what is mine.”
“Let me guess, your scepter.”
“Indeed.” Loki said with a smirk.
Rose looked away for a moment, think of what to do. “Very well.”
Loki smiled. “Good.” He said, before disappeared.
The teen stood silent for a moment. She turned around and said. “You can come out now.”
