Paper Flower [Bbangsaz]

Hanni starts switching off the lights of the shop as soon as the clock hits 11:30 am. Pretty sure no one will come to buy flowers at this hour. But suddenly she hears a small cough coming from the front of the shop. She frowns and turns around. A smile forms on her lips after seeing the figure standing in front of the shop.

"Kim Minji, why do you always come at this hour?" Hanni goes in front of the counter and leans on that with both of her arms.

"Because it's closing time means no one will be around and you will be free. So we can be alone" Minji steps on the stairs and leans on the counter as well, keeping her face close to Hanni's.

"Why are you such a flirt?" Hanni raises her brow playfully.

"You are no saint either Ms. Pham Pham" Minji presses her index finger on Hanni's forehead.

"Yeah yeah whatever" Hanni rolls her eyes and goes back to switch off all the lights again.

After a while she takes off her apron and places it on the hanger beside the front door. Then she comes outside and locks the door before walking to Minji.

"Let's go" Hanni says and Minji extends her right arm to Hanni. Hanni smiles and happily takes Minji's arm to cling onto it.

"Where will we go tonight?" Hanni asks while resting her head on Minji's arm.

"Let's go to the 24 hour open food place first. I am very hungry" Minji says, rubbing her tummy.

"You didn’t eat dinner today either?" Hanni raises her head and glares at Minji.

"No. I forgot" Minji tries to avoid Hanni's glare.

"How can you forget to eat? That's absurd" Hanni hits Minji's arm.

"Ouch. I told you I am sorry" Minji makes a sad face while rubbing the place where Hanni has hit her.

"Let's go to a food place quickly. You are such an idiot" Hanni says and starts dragging Minji with her while holding her hand.

It's been 6 months since she has been stuck with Minji. After that kiss at Haerin's place, Minji started coming to her shop almost everyday around closing time. At first Hanni thought it was a bad decision to let Minji kiss her that day. Because Minji wouldn’t stop hopping around her like some kind of puppy. But soon she realized it's not as bad as she thought.  Minji comes at night and just stands outside while watching Hanni putting away the flowers,cleaning the shop and shutting it down. Then she walks with Hanni to her house. Hanni tried to tell Minji that she doesn’t need to do that but Minji never listens to her. Also one thing Minji does is bring paper flowers for her. Hanni learned that Minji only knows one flower's name which is rose and only can make roses with paper.  Yes, Minji still doesn’t like real flowers and prefers paper flowers. She spends a lot of time with Hanni who is a flower lover yet she dislikes flowers. And will give 100 reasons about why paper flowers are better than natural flowers. Hanni thinks Minji is weird. But for the past few months she likes Minji's weirdness. Or probably she just likes Minji. Who knows.

Hanni doesn’t know if they have any label. If they are just friends or what. Because even though they didn’t kiss after that one night they definitely still don't act like friends or something. Because after 1-2 months of Minji coming to the flower shop and then walking with her to her house, Hanni found herself clinging onto Minji's arm one night. She didn’t even notice it until Minji started giggling out of nowhere and when she asked why she was laughing Minji wiggled her brows pointing her arm which wes hugged by Hanni. Hanni let go of Minji's arm immediately, being embarrassed. Because she always acted like she was annoyed by Minji, that action was so embarrassing for her. But now she likes it. And somehow it's so obvious to Minji. She will find them holding hands while having random conversation. And sometimes Minji hugs her by her shoulder, having Hanni in her embrace. It became so normal for both of them out of nowhere. It started happening so randomly. So Minji started becoming someone close to Hanni from being a random person she met at her cousin's house and kissed.  Soon they found themselves hanging out at different places at night time. At first it was random walks to the park. Later they started hanging out at the food places which are open 24/7. Sometimes at clubs listening to some singers singing. She noticed Minji always hugs her while listening to songs at clubs. And she doesn’t mind it somehow. She likes being in Minji's embrace.

"Hanni say AAAAA" Minji calls Hanni out which makes her come back to reality from her thoughts.

Hanni looks at Minji who is raising her hand which is holding a spoon of soup. Hanni smiles at Minji's cuteness. She never forgets to share her food with Hanni even though Hanni isn’t hungry or doesn’t want to eat. Hanni just opens her mouth to let Minji feed her.

"Is it good?" Minji asks while frowning. This little habit of Minji which is frowning her brows after eating delicious foods always makes Hanni laugh a little.

"Yes, it is" Hanni nods.

"Is it too hot?" Minji asks again.

"No it's not, don’t worry" Hanni smiles and assures Minji.

"By the way, how was work today?" Minji takes another spoon of soup while asking.

"Pretty busy. It will be busier tomorrow" Hanni replies.

"Why?" Minji looks at Hanni.

"You know it's Valentine's day tomorrow. People started buying flowers crazily today. It will be crazier tomorrow. Taking mental preparation already" Hanni sighs and leans on the seat.

"Ahaaa it must be very hectic" Minji sadly says.

"It is. God I need to clear my mind for a while" Hanni whines and closes her eyes.

Minji stares at Hanni who is obviously tired from having a long and busy day. She feels so sad and wishes she could make her feel better. Minji cares about Hanni a lot. Even though she doesn’t know why since they have no label. They aren’t friends,neither dating nor in a situationship or something. She has no idea what they are. But surely she will try to know.

"Do you wanna go to the small indoor concert which is gonna start at 12 am?" Minji asks while wiping her mouth.

"Indoor concert? Why it's at 12 am?" Hanni raises her head from the seat.

"You know it's 14th february when the clock will hit 12 am. Means valentines day. This concert is Valentine's day special" Minji replies.

"Ummmm" Hanni hums and frowns as she is thinking deeply.

"Alright, lets go" Hanni says and gets up.

"Wait a bit. I will go pay the bill first. Then we can walk there. It will start in 20 minutes and it will take us 15 minutes to get there" Minji gets up too.

"Okayyy" Hanni excitedly says.

Minji pays the bill quickly and comes back to Hanni. She holds Hanni's hand and intertwines their fingers before starting to walk. Hanni feels the warmth of Minji's hand on her. She likes it. Not only like, she loves it actually. It took them 15-18 minutes to reach their destination. And they realized that they have a problem.

"Now, where to stand" Minji's jaw drops seeing the huge crowd.

"The crowd is so big. We should have come earlier" Hanni says.

"Ugh I didn’t know. I didn’t think it would be this crowded" Minji scratches her head.

"It's valentine's day special, Minji. Are you dumb? Obviously it will be crowded. All the couples will gather here. You are seriously such a moron" Hanni shakes her head in disappointment.

"There is an empty spot up there" Minji points on the floor up from where they can watch the singers perform.

"Oh wow. That's probably a good spot" Hanni looks where Minji pointed.

"Let's go there" Minji says and grabs Hanni's hand to drag her to the stairs which is going to lead them to the floor.

"Okay this spot is really cool" Hanni says and leans on the pillar beside her.

"I always find cool things I know" Minji flips her hair and leans on the railing in front of her which makes Hanni rolling her eyes.

"But thank god we found this place. It's not that crowded. Plus we can see them performing clearly too" Minji says.

"It's kinda like a club. I have never been to any indoor concert before" Hanni replies and leans on the railing too.

"You will love it. It's a mini indoor concert which makes you feel like it's a club" Minji assures.

After 5 minutes at 12 am the concert officially starts. The singers started performing one by one. Hanni lets out a big breath seeing how the environment has become so pleasing for her. Especially because the crowd has stopped gossiping and is focused on the performance. Hanni takes a look around seeing the couples hugging each other and humming the song which has been performed right now. She glances at Minji beside her who is also humming. She smiles because after a hectic day she is finally feeling better for this. All thanks to Minji.

After the first performance Minji looks at Hanni who is smiling widely at the stage. It makes her smile without her concern. She is glad Hanni is enjoying this.  Minji goes behind Hanni and hugs her. Hanni doesn’t say anything, she just places her hands over Minji's arm which is hugging her. Hanni tilts her head a bit on the right side giving Minji space to rest her chin on Hanni's shoulder. 

"Hanni, you smell so nice today" Minji sniffs Hanni's shoulder a bit.

"I smell nice everyday. You just don't sniff me everyday" Hanni wheezes lightly.

"If you want I can do it on a daily basis. It's going to be a new habit of mine" Minji whispers near Hanni's ear.

"Stop being a flirt. Will you?" Hanni tries to sound annoyed but it makes Minji giggle.

Another song starts playing as Minji can feel both of her and Hanni is jamming to it. This type of song isn’t really Minji's cup of tea. She likes rock songs more but Hanni likes these kinds of songs. So she just places her chin back on Hanni's shoulder while Hanni is busy humming to the song. Minji doesn’t know what suddenly got into her. She slides away Hanni's hair from her shoulder and places her lips on Hanni's neck. To her surprise Hanni doesn’t protest nor shoves her away. She just tilts her head more, giving Minji better access.

"What do you think you are doing, Kim Minji?" Hanni softly whispers.

"Kissing you?" Minji replies and places another small kiss near Hanni's ear.

"I am not your girlfriend. Why are you kissing me then?" Hanni whispers back.

"Then be my girlfriend" Minji replies.

Hanni turns around to face Minji who is lovingly staring at her smiling so brightly. She is still in Minji embrace.

"Are you serious? Or joking?" Hanni asks.

"Hanni, I am probably unserious all the time. But now I am not. I am dead serious" Minji says, looking at Hanni's eyes. 

"Pham Hanni" Minji says and puts her hand inside her oversized coat and pulls out a paper rose.

"Will you be my valentine?" Minji extends her arm, holding the flower.

Hanni looks at the flower and Minji in surprised. She really didn’t think that Minji would confess to her anytime soon. But she somehow can't take this moment seriously for the paper flower. But she can't deny that Minji makes really pretty paper flowers and she loves them a lot.

"Are you seriously confessing to me with a paper flower?" Hanni wheezes a bit.

"You know, paper flowers are made with love. Because I am not wasting my time making flowers for random people. I spent my time making this for someone who is special. And that someone is you" Minji smiles.

"You made a point for the first time" Hanni laughs.

"So…..will you be my valentine and girlfriend?" Minji raises both of her brows hesitantly.

"Ummmmm" Hanni holds her chin and starts rubbing it making it seem like she is thinking so hard which makes Minji feel more nervous. Hanni lets out a chuckle seeing Minji's nervous face.

"Of course I will be your girlfriend,Kim Minji" Hanni smiles and takes the paper flower from Minji's hand.

"Really?" Minji's eyes start sparkling.

"Yes, you idiot" Hanni laughs lightly and wraps her arms around Minji's neck.

"Well I am your idiot from now on" Minji replies, wrapping her arms around Hanni's waist.

"My idiot forever" Hanni whispers before pulling Minji's neck, making her lean down to press her lips on Minji's.

Minji moves her lips on Hanni's, matching with the melody of the song which has been performed. Hanni just follows Minji's lead, letting her take the control and access of her mouth to explore. Minji presses Hanni against the pillar beside them and continues to kiss her. She moves her lips from Hanni's lips to her chin then down to her neck and starts placing kisses all over there.

"Ya ya, we are in public. Literally everyone is gonna see us" Hanni whispers, gripping Minji's shoulder tightly.

"Let's get out from here then" Minji raises her head from Hanni's neck.

"What about the concert?" Hanni asks.

"We can come some other day. For now I just want to enjoy our alone time" Minji whispers and kisses Hanni's lips one last time before dragging Hanni with her.

"Minji you will always be crazy" Hanni giggles.

"Crazy? Yeah probably crazy for you" Minji chuckles and pulls Hanni in her embrace, giving a light peak on her lips.
