Tony was worse than Hydra
This is an interesting statement, because it has some truth to it. Especially if you look at the damage done by Tony's similar belief that his security (and convenience) is more important than other people’s freedom and rights. He spent decades not caring who was hurt by his weapons because he didn’t want his carefree lifestyle to change. He created Ultron and hid his plans because he didn't want to be told that he could not build HIS personal vision of security. And he tried to force the others to sign the Sokovia Accords because he wanted to secure HIS perfect life--Pepper and Iron Man. Tony outright echoed Alexander Pierce (the head of Hydra) when Tony said he did not care about other people's “precious freedoms” so long as TONY had his vision of security. And Tony held the universe hostage, making permanent all of the death and destruction after the Snap, so HIS security wasn’t threatened. So Tony’s beliefs pretty much are the same as Hydra’s, except Hydra was a group and Tony was completely selfish in going after his own security and freedom. (And his AIs would kill anyone, not just the folks chosen by an algorithm.)

Peter didn't know what to do after he got the glasses--and nearly killed his classmates.
It was too much--he didn't know the right thing to do. So he called the one person he knew he could always count on.
Peter was tense as he listened to the ring. But he felt better as he heard Aunt May pick up.
Aunt May said, “Hey Pete, are you enjoying your trip?”
Pete looked around to make sure no one was listening. He shuddered as he thought of how easy it would be for someone with the glasses to spy on him. He said, “I have to talk to you, it’s kind of important.”
He spilled the whole story, ending by saying, “I don’t know what to do.”
May sighed and said, “I knew I should have never let you get involved with Stark. I never liked him.”
Peter frowned and said, “What? He--he’s a hero.”
May said, “Think about what you just told me those ‘Iron Man’ glasses do. I know you were a little young at the time, but do you remember when Captain America and the Black Widow revealed that the Nazi-era group Hydra was still operating?”
Peter bit his lip and said, “Yeah, kinda.”
May replied, “Well a big part of that was Project Insight. A group of airships in D.C. were targeting millions of people who could get in the way of Hydra’s plans. Those ships were going to kill all those people just because they matched a computer’s algorithm.”
Peter nodded and said, “Yeah, I remember that.”
May said, “Peter, those glasses sound even WORSE. Because not only do they let you know where everyone is, those glasses spy on everyone AND will let you kill anyone you want, wherever they are. Just because you want them dead. There isn’t even an algorithm involved. Tony Stark gave himself that kind of power, even after he signed the Sokovia Accords. Does that sound like something a hero does?”
Peter shook his head and said, “I didn’t think about it like that--what am going to do?”
Aunt May said, “First, you’re going to take a deep breath. And then we’ll figure out how to handle this to keep YOU and the world safe.”
Peter nodded and told himself he’d also make sure that people knew the true story--and just how arrogant Tony Stark could be.
