Chaos ensues
You weren't sure how much time had passed since that man, James, had left and the door had relocked.
You had been using your magic since before even landing on this planet to conceal your true appearance, and even more so to hide just how much you had deteriorated since being imprisoned, but you were getting weaker. You were sure that they would realize soon that you looked far better than you should given the conditions, but that wasn't your concern at the moment. Your biggest concern right now was how long you would be able to keep it all up without some kind of help.
It was during another one of your meditation sessions that you heard the door open and someone enter. It was one of the men from earlier.
Out of all your captors, this one the one you minded the least. He was arrogant, yes, but he never yelled, never pounded on the glass, and he seemed uninterested in keeping you prisoner.
"Jarvis, please translate my words into Allspeak"
You recognized a few of those words. You thought 'Jarvis' could be a name though you weren't sure where they were since you and the man in front of you were the only beings you sensed in the room. You also recognized the word 'allspeak'. It was the language of Asgard.
Allspeak was a strange language. It contained magic in each word, self translating into a language that could be understood by the one being spoken to. Clearly the Asgardian from earlier spoke of this language to the midgardian in front of you, but you were unsure of why. You weren't even sure why the two were associated, often each group stuck to their own realms, but you were here so who knows anymore.
You were brought from your thoughts by the voice from earlier with James suddenly speaking.
The man spoke again and was quickly followed by the voice you had heard earlier with James, <My name is Tony, I'm having Jarvis translate in hopes that we can talk>
Jarvis must be the mystery voice. You were uneasy when it came to having a voice come from seemingly nowhere, but having a name to put to the voice made you feel a bit better. Rather than respond you stayed seated in your meditation pose ad gazed coolly at the man.
He sighed, <I didn't expect you would crack so easily, but a man can hope I suppose. Then again you seemed to open up to Barnes fairly easily so maybe it's just me>, a smirk formed on his face as an image suddenly appeared behind him.
It was a still frame from a security camera depicting you standing at the edge of the cell as James had left, just after you called out to him. You felt the blood rush to your cheeks at being caught with your guard down earlier.
James.
Is that who Tony was referring to when he said 'Barnes'? Perhaps you had been mistaken and James was not his name. A surname maybe? Regardless, you would continue to call him James, at least in your mind.
Tony spoke up once more, <We have a guest coming, hopefully he will be able to help answer some of the questions we have about you that you refuse to answer yourself>, your eyes shot up to meet his at that.
Who could they possibly be bringing? They'd have to be from another realm to give them any kind of information. And why couldn't the Asgardian from earlier help them? Why must they bring in someone else?
He continued on, <I'm sorry for how the others have treated you while in here>, he looked almost ashamed, <Now that Thor and his guest will be here more hopefully you won't have to deal with the others much...>
He continued talking, but all noise faded into static after he mentioned Thor.
Thor
Was the Asgardian from earlier Thor? How could you have missed that? How could your magic have missed that? He saw you here. A royal Asgardian saw you here. It was only a matter of time before he reported your presence to the Allfather. Oh gods.
Tony seemed to realize that you were no longer following along with him, a suspicion that was only confirmed when he noticed the way that your eyes glazed over, the way that ever muscle in your body seemed to tense- similarly to when Thor had come into the room a few days prior. It was again confirmed when suddenly your magic seemed to spark in agitation, sending red sparks cascading down onto the floor. After a few more times of this happening he finally caved to his panic and called out for Jarvis to get Thor in there.
Within seconds the door busted open, startling him and the girl. He shot up from his chair while she scrambled back against the far wall, pressing her body into it as hard as she could, seemingly trying to get as much distance between her and the god.
Thor stopped in the doorway, surveying the air of panic and the magic sparks, "Stark! What happened?", he stepped into the room carefully, wary of the girl whose image began to flicker oddly.
"I don't know, Jarvis! What set her off?" Tony had moved to meet Thor just inside the doorway, barely registering the smaller man half concealed by Thor's larger frame.
It appears that she started panicking at the mention of Thor and the guest
That didn't make any sense, why would the mention of Thor upset her so badly. Did she not realize who he was when he'd entered the room previously?
Thor broke the brief silence, "Why is she flickering like that? Brother? Is this something with her magic?" It was then that Tony realized that Thor's big giant shoulders were blocking sight of Loki, who'd seemingly just arrived.
The smaller man stepped around to the front to look at the girl. She was hyperventilating by now, her eyes flickered red as flashes of stark white hair and grey, almost purple skin appeared and vanished showered in sparks of red.
"I need to get in there", Loki turned to look at Stark, a hint of panic lacing his words, "I need to help her"
Tony was conflicted.
On one hand, he wasn't supposed to let anyone in there- especially not the magically alien being that could potentially kill them all. But on the other, Loki already had his magic suppressant bracelets on and he could clearly see that the girl was suffering.
He didn't have to think very long before he ushered the two farther into the room, calling for Jarvis to lock the door, remove everyone's but his own permissions to view the security footage, and allow Loki to pass the barrier.
As soon as the words were out, the raven-haired man rushed forwards and entered the cell.
