PROLOGUE — IMPORTANT INFORMATION
There will be depictions of certain things that could be triggering like mental health issues and their symptoms, abuse, neglect, jealousy, internalized misogyny, and unhealthy coping mechanisms. There’s nothing explicit, but it’s my obligation to let you know!
This is not a college AU but our main four characters (Harry, you, Peter, and Gwen) are college students.
I wrote this picturing Nick Robinson as Harry, Tom Holland as Peter, and Hunter Schäfer as Gwen
HARRY OSBORN— the lovely rich kid • future environmental attorney • aloof
YOU— a genius • biochemist studying a master’s in molecular and celular biology • medic in process • reserved
PETER PARKER— a genius • future chemical engineer • Spider-Man
GWEN STACY— trans • future journalist • social butterfly
Adjusting to your so-called new life was getting harder than you anticipated. You might have still been a genius with a bright future ahead of you, but it wasn’t encouraging at the moment. The Snap took a toll on you, many things had changed— you lost and regained your best friend Peter, almost lost your mentor and second father figure Tony; the catastrophe happened not long after your mother died and your actual father strayed from you. Steve was gone in a way, just like Nat. You still had Sam, Bucky was great too, yet so much change in what felt in such a little time was overwhelming. You didn’t change a lot as a person, but everyone evolves when shit happens, the problem is you’re not sure you’ve evolved. The starkest difference is you’re in love with your best friend now and he’s dating the most gorgeous girl in the whole campus— well, that and the fact that you found out your most serious relationship was a lie.
Now you need to get over two men who have marked your life for better and worse. Everyone thinks it will be easy for you, you’re not overtly as emotional as the people around you. Tony and Bucky get it, the trauma bonding the three of you have is powerful and empowering; yet it will make it harder for you when a secret plan is set in motion.
Mixing your job with Tony and Bruce in the laboratory and the medical wing with a master’s degree you hadn’t even planned to get, and your almost non-existent social life will be proven to be tough when someone you’ve never talked to offers you a chance to find a way to be happy. Or what you think would make you happy anyway.
This is my first series so feedback will be welcomed now more than ever!
