*AUTHOR NOTE*
So, this is just because I feel like things are getting heated like months after the fact. I haven't even updated in a while--but I get LOTS of comments still. Granted, lots of those comments are from trolls, and likely from a program that hijacks other author's names and then puts in a generic I LOVE TEAM CAP comment.
To people irritated by the comments, I don't even know how to moderate my comments. I never learned. I just like writing a short fic every now and again and posting it. Many of you have very kindly posted positive comments in response, and every now and again I'll go back and read them; but I work full time and have 6 kids. My life is too full to spend much time on fanfiction. I really only read the comments months after they've been sent and often don't respond to those because I figure there's a good chance that you all got busy with your lives and haven't seen it either. (Don't get your feelings hurt if I don't respond to your comment. It's entirely due to my schedule).
So, to everyone who has given me kind comments . . . Thank you very much. I hope you got some enjoyment out of it. I write because it's a fun break from the other types of writing that I do and if you actually like it, even better.
To the trolls, I can't express how much the comments don't impact me. I don't even see them until I get a bug up my butt and decide "What the heck, guess I'll go read the comments". And honestly, that's usually to read the troll comments because they're kind of ridiculously funny to me (even though I can tell they are frequently meant to be both judgmental and cruel). I'm just not invested enough to let it really impact me, but please consider that others are, and if you find the fiction in poor taste (despite the tags which I tried to add to include every warning so people don't read that don't like that stuff), then you could try being the bigger person. People see the total number of comments and think the fics must be impressive--you're contributing to that opinion considerably just by adding to the statistics. Try boycotting. It might work better.
To commenters, until I learn to moderate, just be forewarned that plenty of trolls like to leave comments on these fics and they aren't above leaving comments in your name (extremely poor taste, but there have been a few that had interesting artwork that I must say impressed me even if they were meant to be a personal part of one's anatomy. I thought it was funny anyways).
