Finally

Kara didn't know how to handle her feelings for Lena. She went over if she should tell her in her head over and over again, but every time she did, she thought about the outcome; losing her best friend. It broke her heart, but she chose to keep it to herself. She asked Alex what she thinks about it and Alex told her to do it.

She was stuck for sure.

"Are you coming to dinner with us?" Kara asked Lena. The gang just got done defeating an alien they thought were extinct, but after its attack at the hideout and almost killing everyone, Quinn thought it was a good idea to have dinner together at the pub. He said it could've been their last night.

"I would, but I am completely buried in work," Lena responded. "Maybe next time."

"Alright. If you change your mind, we'll be eating at the pub." Kara said. In her way out she turned back, “Oh, and it’s Karaoke night.”

Lena smiled at her friend and looked down at her work. It's been a long time since she's taken a break; always putting her work before herself.

She dropped her pen. "The hell with it."

9:00PM

Lena walked into the pub and quickly spotted her friends who were all laughing and drinking.

"You made it!" Kara grabbed a seat from an empty table and placed it next to hers.

"What are you all drinking?" Lena asked, sitting down. She shimmied her coat off and put it on her chair.

"Beers," James answered. "Do you want one?"

Lena thought about it. "No. I'll take something else. Something stronger."

James got up and headed to the bar.

Quinn comes down from the stage with a microphone in his hand and greets Lena. "Finally you make it to a gathering. I got a couple of songs ready for us. Who's going up first?"

Alex raised her hand.

"Okay, who else?"

James raised his hand. "I will."

Winn passes the microphone to Alex, who snatches it away from him.

Tonight’s going to be long.

11:00PM

Five songs and six beers later everyone was in a daze. Alex was leaning on Kara and Quinn was on his phone playing a game.

Quinn looks over at Lena and realizes something, "Is this your first time at a gathering? It is! I think you and Kara should go up next."

Kara's eyes widen.

"That's okay. I'm not much of a singer." Lena declined.

"None sense."

"If she doesn't want to she doesn't have to." James said, annoyance in his voice. Quinn lowered his head in guilt. Alex saw it and grumbled, "I'll go." She gets up, takes one more swig from her beer and heads up stage. All night she partnered up with everyone, sometimes twice. Kara let out a breath of relief.

2:00AM

"Does anyone need a ride home?" James asked.

Everyone looked around at each other and shook their heads. Lena's the only one who wasn't drunk, Quinn went home early due to too many drinks and a report he had to do early in the morning and Kara and Alex are basically leaning on each other but are sobering up.

"I do." Lena answered. Kara looked between Lena and James. “You remember where I live right?" "How can I forget?" James answered, kind of flirting.

Alex looked at Kara.

"Thank you for inviting me Kara. It inspired me to put myself first for now on."

"Anytime." Kara said.

Kara waved them goodbye before letting her face drop. She shouldn't be acting this way, they were all grown adults, but she couldn't help it.

Kara looks at the table an notices Lena coat on her chair.

"Crap!"

Kara rushes outside with the coat and sees that they're already gone.

Jesus, it felt like Winterfell out here. Kara looked at the coat and put it on:immediately smelling the expensive perfume.
