Kaedehara Kazuha (angst/fluff)
Rumors were to be spread like the breeze of the wind in Inazuma.
It was one time.
One.
But behold!
A member of the Hiiragi clan couldn't possibly be caught with her lover.
And if that lover happened to be some wanted poet, oh, well, the words ran quickly.
You were walking peacefully in the grass. Night was the best moment for sneaking out. No one was in sight, and so no one could bother you.
You had a rough time when your relationship with Kazuha was discovered.
The poet was wanted in Inazuma, the vision hunt decree more and more strict as the days passed. You had to stay in your estate most of the times.
Your happiness when you received his letter, where he told you he was gonna return, made you too careless.
The two of you met right in front of the sea.
You exchanged sweet kisses and promises, passion blooming after the long distance.
Someone, though, had seen you.
And now the Shogunate was following you around like you yourself were wanted.
That was unacceptable.
You ran across the streets of Ritou, and you finally arrived at the beach.
Where you always met with the man you loved.
He wasn't there yet, so you sat on the ground, waiting, and admiring the scenery, like you could eat it with the curiosity in your eyes.
The harbor was desert, only a few stray cats passing by, maybe looking for remains of food.
The waters were wavy, and the chill breeze made you sink in your green kimono.
The stars were beautiful, as ever.
If you didn't knew any better, you could have thought that they were fake.
The beautiful pattern repeated every night, forming a jewel in the dark.
The more you looked at the sky, the more you would have wanted to sink into that sea of stars, swimming into all its beauty. You felt like that could give you endless happiness.
No, that was wrong.
You couldn't truly be happy without Kazuha.
He made your days shine like the stars, your heart was open for him and only for him.
You were in love.
Caught into your fantasies, you didn't feel the light-like steps that approached you, until...
"Hello, my love"
His voice.
You turned around, just to be greeted by your lover.
He was beautiful under the moonlight.
His white hair were scattered around his face, like he just flew the world just to come and see you.
His eyes shined like two gems, a look of pure adoration inside them.
He opened his arms, and you ran right into them.
Hugging lovingly, you placed your mouth over his.
Warmth invaded your senses, making you feel all fuzzy and relaxed.
You couldn't think straight.
His lips were so soft that you could keep kissing him for hours.
But that was not possible.
Not when life was so cruel.
And, as you expected, Kazuha broke the kiss.
"Love, I know that I just returned, but..."
"No" you interrupted him. "I know what you are gonna say".
A sad smile appeared on Kazuha's features.
"I am so sorry, but I have no choice".
Leaving.
People always had to leave in a way or another.
You just managed to see him again, after a long time.
You couldn't let him leave.
If you were talking, now your voice broke, tears rolling down your cheeks.
"Please, don't cry"
Kazuha's gentle hands caressed your face, wiping the tears away.
"I will come back, I swear that". You were silent. "When all of this will end we will be able to live normally".
He sounded so sure of that.
But you were not.
"And what if all of this doesn't end?"
This time was your lover that remained silent.
"Let me come with you".
Kazuha's eyes widened.
"I couldn't possibly ask you to do that!" He sounded... shaken? "It would mean leaving your family, and all of your life!"
"If it's for you then I don't care".
Kazuha sighed, then he embraced you once again, kissing your forehead.
"So be it then".
