Albedo (fluff)
It was a peaceful day. Birds were flying in the sky, the wind was blowing between the streets of the city and a happy chattering could be heard from the citizens.
The breeze of spring could be felt everywhere, and general good mood was keen up.
The girl was sitting outside, the usual customers of Good Hunters roaming all around. A bird landed next to her hand and pecked the wood of the table. A big smile formed on her face, pieces of conversation reaching her ears.
"B-but I am not sure that's gonna work, adding anemo only caused chaos last time" a green haired girl was muttering.
"I told you already Sucrose, that was because last time a pyro reaction occurred, you should not worry this time" The second voice spoke, patient, and the girl thought that was the most angelic sound ever made by someone.
Albedo, the Chief alchemist.
Blonde hair tied with two little braids tickled his handsome face. The guy was pale, his eyes were like the sky, cyan and crystalline, and every single thing he did made him look perfect. He possessed the mind of a genious, and that was no mystery, but something made the girl think that he wasn't fully human.
She took a pencil in her hand and started to sketch that handsome face. First the shape, then his nose and his eyes, then the lips and the hair.
"I wonder how his lips would feel" The mind of the girl started roaming in fantasies, contemplating the figure of the alchemist.
The afternoon kept going like this; the girl silently drawing, people passing by, over and over, and the alchemist helping his assistants.
Soon enough the night took the sky, like a big dark curtain, and the girl walked home in silence.
The days passed, and the girl took drawing at Good Hunters as an habit. She caught herself hoping to see Albedo more often, and when he was she could sketch the man for hours.
That day was one of the lucky ones, where the alchemist worked all day into the city. As the girl was about to leave, a burning gaze seemed to shoot her right at the heart.
Immediately she turned around, but no one was there.
"Your drawing skills are really remarkable"
The girl turned her head so fast that she could swear to have felt her neck cracking.
In front of her stood Albedo, the shadows hugging his form. Warm light from the street reflected on his face, and the girl couldn't stop herself from admiring his features yet another time. It was like the man was made out of chalk, perfect in every single little thing.
Shaking off the state of awe that the alchemist gifted her the girl managed to reply.
"I really appreciate that, I shall thank you".
"There is no need to keep all of this formalities up, take this as a simple chat between artists".
Blush rose on the girl's cheeks.
That was really happening? Albedo Kreideprinz, Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonious, was talking with her about art? More important thing, the man was, too, an artist?
"Wait, you draw?" The words left her lips with deep surprise.
"Yes, actually". The girl's heart started to pound faster in her chest. She couldn't believe that the man she took interest in shared her same hobby.
"I saw you staring at me, a lot of times" The alchemist revealed.
"Ah... I am deeply sorry" the girl was mortified. "I thought you were a good subject for a painting, and I was just sketching you" she revealed.
She felt herself about to die from the embarassment. Was it that obvious? The next words spoken by Albedo, though, made her so shocked that she forgot how to breathe for a few seconds.
"I also think that you would made a good subject for a painting. Would you care to join me in my laboratory sometimes?"
So, here she was, in Albedo's laboratory, in Dragonspine. Icing cold wrapped itself around the mountain, but the alchemist's place was heated enough for people to take off the heavy clothes used for hiking the mountain. A messy, wooden table was placed in the middle, and lots of glass vials and boxes were placed on various shelves.
"Here, make yourself comfortable".
Although the girl talked a lot with Albedo during the trip to his laboratory, his voice never failed to make her feel tingles in her stomach.
She sat on a chair next to the fireplace, nervously.
Minutes passed. Albedo stood still, only his arm moved, brushing gently against the canvas. The sound of wind roaring outside and the tip of Albedo's brush were the only sounds that could be heard. The silence between the two was overwhelming, until the man left his brush. The girl immediately got up, as the alchemist rotated his canvas.
"So, what do you think?"
The girl's mouth fell open, as she admired the painting before her eyes. Albedo was truly good at everything!
Brilliant colours mixed together with the shadows, making the painting look more realistic than it already was.
"It's beautiful..."
The girl spoke, only a whisper came out of her mouth.
Albedo smiled slightly.
"I am sure you won't mind coming here more often then".
He got up and placed a soft kiss on the girl's cheek. His lips were so soft, and when he turned for cleaning up his drawing stand the girl could still feel a burning sensation where his lips touched her skin. Her face was red as a rose, heartbeat louder than everything else.
"I sure will". She managed to say.
