The morning after
Light filtered through the curtains on Nemona’s window. She shifted slightly on the mattress, she had barely gotten to sleep. Today was the official treasure hunt’s starting day. Students were supposed to leave today but the teachers didn’t really care all that much if you left later.
Nemona got ready as fast as humanly possible. She barely stopped to grab an apple from her kitchenette.
While she was giving her bag a once over, Nemona’s phone began to ring. She answered, the excitement of having Cassiopeia call first washing over her. Barely anyone called Nemona first. Well, actually, no one had called her first except Cassiopeia.
“Hey Cass!” Nemona exclaimed into the Rotom phone.
“Cass?” Cassiopeia answered, sounding generally unconfident.
Nemona realized that she had called Cassiopeia by a stupid nickname so she quickly backtracked, “I’m sorry, that was stupid, what’s up, Cassiopeia?”
“You can call me Cass, I guess,” Cassiopeia mumbled.
“Huh, what was that Cass?” Nemona giggled a little at her witty and original comment.
“Enough joking,” Cassiopeia sighed, “I have marked the five bosses locations on your Rotom map. Start with whichever, I don’t really care.”
Nemona giggled again, Cassiopeia sounded a bit like a teacher, “No problem Cass! You can count on me.”
Cassiopeia promptly hung up, leaving Nemona to stew in her thoughts.
“What sort of a student must Cass be? I’ve never heard their name before, they must be a transfer!” Nemona was startled from her musing by another ping from her phone.
Arven had posted some pictures on his story, some of him, some of Pokémon, but most were Florian. Nemona felt a twinge of jealousy bubble up inside her, but it was Florian’s decision to make. She couldn’t force him to do the gym challenge if he wasn’t into it. Nemona felt a bit guilty for being jealous of Arven, he had won Florian over, after-all.
Nemona set her phone down, only to immediately pick it up again, she still hasn’t left the dorm building. Her goal was to find the closest boss and take them down, as fast as possible. It seemed that Mela, the fire type leader; Giacomo, the dark type leader; and Atticus, the poison type leader would be the easiest to access at this moment.
She weighed her options for a minute longer before deciding to take on the former class president, Giacomo. Finally able to set out on her journey, Nemona gather her stuff and left the dorm room, hopefully to return with a treasure.
