Inside of the Jade chamber, high above the sky and gifted a beautiful view of the sea. Ningguang the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing and Captain Beidou of the Crux Fleet cuddling in Ningguang's bed. Who would've thought? Two polar opposites yet they still love one another. A phoenix and a dragon. Yin and yang. Light and dark. So different yet they cannot live without the other.
Ningguang buried her face in the crook of Beidou's neck. Beidou's hand stroking Ningguang's hair gently and soothingly. Tears formed in Ningguang's eyes but she wouldn't allow them to fall, she couldn't look so vulnerable and weak in front of Beidou. She felt a hand on her chin making her face her Captain.
"Let it out Baobei...You don't have to always be tough."
At that moment every ounce of Ningguang's effort to keep her tears back vanished. She started sobbing her eyes out, hugging Beidou even tighter. Beidou embraced the hug and cooed Ningguang telling her it was okay. Beidou had always observed Ningguang, the way her eyes and face shut out any emotion to be expressed leaving her cold and stoned faced. Ningguang's sobs quieted down and turned into only hiccups and a few sniffs from time to time. Beidou kept kissing Ningguang on the crown of her head; trying to comfort Ningguang the best that she could.
"Beidou.."
Ningguang's voice sounded so quiet and weak.
"Yes, my light?"
"I love you..."
"I love you too."
Beidou kissed Ningguang again.
"Kiss me properly..."
Beidou did just that. She grabbed Ningguang's chin and kissed her on the lips. The kiss was tender yet intimate at the same time. They rolled over with Ningguang on top of Beidou's lap. Beidou sat up, securely holding Ningguang to prevent her from falling. Ningguang craved for more and wrapped her arms around Beidou's neck. Beidou deepened their kiss. They broke apart both out of breath. Ningguang hesitantly hovered over Beidou's left eye which was covered with an eyepatch.
"Can I..?"
Beidou nodded in acknowledgement. Ningguang carefully took the eyepatch off to reveal a silver discolored eye and two scars. One going straight down and the other across her face. Beidou had always called it ugly and hid it, however Ningguang strongly disagreed she saw them as beautiful. She ran her finger over them before kissing them. Beidou scrunched up her face.
"Ning..that tickles."
Ningguang hummed before continuing her journey. She felt Beidou's big and calloused hands on her back supporting her. She finished admiring every inch of Beidou's scars and then landed a kiss on her lips. Beidou followed her lips as they pulled away. Ningguang swore she could see puppy eyes, she rolled her eyes and kissed Beidou once more.
"Beidou, Can I ask you something...?"
"Sure, shoot your shot."
"That Furong lady on your ship...are you aware of the glances when she looks your way...? The look on her face screams 'Oh Captain Beidou kiss me please' it makes me infuriated!"
Beidou kissed Ningguang on the lips.
"What was that for!"
"If I remember correctly you said 'Oh Captain Beidou kiss me please'."
A grin plastered on the pirate's face. Ningguang rolled her eyes and muttered something on the lines of 'whatever you buffoon of a pirate'.
"Anyways about your concerns, it seems to me that you are jealous. Unfortunately for Furong I already have my eye on one woman. Ningguang listen to me, seriously. You are the most beautiful woman or should I say person I have ever met. I feel lucky to be able to even look at you."
Ningguang blushed a deep shade of red which clashed with her pale skin.
"Ningguang, your presence alone would make angels question their own perfection."
"Beidou..."
"Hmm, my light?"
"I love you."
"I love you as well and always will."
"Beidou, when I looked into your eye, I could see a reflection of myself that I could love."
Beidou, flustered and shocked, glanced anywhere but her lover who's hands were rubbing her nape. Ningguang was wearing her usual smirk. She loved whenever her Captain got embarrassed from her silly and flirty antics. Before Ningguang could tease her anymore she kissed her, her hands rooted at her hips as if they were an anchor not letting her beloved escape. Beidou pulled away with a victorious grin for getting back at her cheeky lover.
Beidou slowly lowered herself so she was once again laying down. Ningguang arched her back into her before leaning down to sleep on top of the woman below her. Beidou flushed from the alluring gesture.
There was an opportunity that revealed itself and Beidou took it. She smacked Ningguang's ass and groped it. She could feel Ningguang heat up.
"Beidou what do you think you're doing!"
There were glowing geo floating above ready to impale Beidou. Ningguang shifted their position so that Beidou couldn't be an irritating idiot. Ningguang faced away from Beidou curling up. Beidou shuffled towards her and wrapped her arms around Ningguang and cuddled with her. Time passed and eventually Ningguang could hear snores coming from behind her, she turned to face the Captain. She brought up a hand and caressed Beidou's cheek; she laid a kiss on Beidou's lips. She then closed her eyes and embraced the warmth and safety of Beidou's arms.
The next morning.
Ningguang had tried to get out of bed but she couldn't because of Beidou's strong arms keeping her locked in the bed.
"Beidou let me up...!"
"Hmmm five more minutesssss...."
Ningguang flicked Beidou's forehead. Beidou finally woke up but before she could complain to Ningguang for the flick and waking her up there was a knock at the door.
"Lady Ningguang I have come here to remind you about the meeting you have at 14:30."
It was Baishi. Beidou did not like her one bit. She would do anything to annoy the living hell out of Baishi. This hatred all started when Beidou overheard that weirdo fantasizing about Ningguang's clothes and her exiting a bath. Thinking about someone imagining Ningguang like that made her wanna punch them in the face but also throw up. Beidou had an idea.
"She'll come out soon!!!"
"Beidou!"
Ningguang clasped her hands over Beidou's mouth before she could say more stupid stuff. A barely audible voice of Baishi could be heard 'Ah o-okay see you soon Lady Ningguang' she sounded very flustered. As soon as the secretary left they were both in a fit of giggles.
"You absolute idiot! Now help me get ready."
"Yes ma'am."
Beidou did a fake salute and helped Ningguang. She was just about to jump out the window when Ningguang turned her around and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Goodbye, Ning."
"Goodbye, my Captain."
