chapter 5
It was around 9:38 when Keith woke up. Lance was still asleep but the mac and cheese was gone, so he guessed that Lance woke up earlier.
Luckily Keith doesn't work on the weekend, meaning he can stay with Lance. He did, however, want to go to the gym.
He got out of bed and put on shorts and a shirt. He brushed his teeth and hair then walked into Shiro's room to tell him that he was going to workout.
He knocked on the door waiting for Shiro to answer. Matt slept over again so he didn't want to walk in on anything. When Shiro opened the door he was a mess.
"You look like you're dying." Shiro stayed in his resting face not giving any emotion. "I'm sick."
"Ok. I'm going to the gym Lance is still asleep. Tell me if you guys need anything." Shiro nodded and they both walked away.
Keith put on his shoes and and grabbed his keys. He decided to take his motorcycle today since Lance was to afraid to ride it to the zoo yesterday.
He made sure to text Lance that he was at the gym so he wouldn't worry.
Lance woke up at 11:00. Keith was still at the gym and luckily, Lance saw the text before he started freaking out.
Lance won't deny the fact that he has abandonment issues. Living in a big family and being the youngest does that to you.
Keith knows about it so every time he goes somewhere and Lance doesn't know, he always leaves a note or text.
Lance loves that about Keith. Sure he cares for himself like one should, he also cares about Lance. Lotor was nothing like that. Lotor is the complete opposite of Keith.
Lance knew Keith would want him to eat so he made some cereal. Whether it be Shiro or Matt who see him and tell Keith, or Keith walking in and finding out himself.
Shiro walked out to get medicine for himself and saw the empty bowl on the drying rack. He smiled and looked over to Lance who was on the couch watching The Princess and The Frog.
He had a blanket and a pillow from his and Keith's room and was slowly falling back asleep. He must have noticed Shiro because he called his name.
"What's up?" Lance sat up and looked at the kitchen.
"If I fall asleep, can you wake me up when Keith gets home? I bought something for him but I forgot to give him it yesterday." Shiro nodded and walked back into his room hearing a thank you.
He patted the wall loud enough to tell Lance a quick you're welcome.
Lance did in fact end up falling asleep. But Shiro didn't have to wake him up. When Keith walked in the door he woke Lance up to tell him he was getting in the shower.
"Wait! Wait, I have something for you! You're gonna love this." Lance walked into their room to grab the hippo that he bought for Keith yesterday.
"Close your eyes!" Keith snorted and closed his eyes. Lance peeked through the door to see if Keith had actually close them. Then walked out and held the hippo up.
"Open." Keith opened his eyes and they went wide eyed immediately. "You got the- I can't believe you- why did you- hippo!"
Lance handed Keith the hippo but Keith dropped it and pulled Lance into a kiss. Lance made a mph sound when their lips pressed together.
When they pulled apart for air it was only a minute before Keith pulled him into another kiss.
They pulled apart again, finally, and Keith looked into Lance's eyes. "Thank you. I love it. I love you." Lance smiled and pulled Keith into another hug.
"Ok now I actually have to take my shower. Then we can talk about what to do." Lance nodded and waited in their room.
Little did he know was that the reason Keith took so long at the gym and was covering his arm was because he has a small run in with Lotor.
He also found Lance's best friend. The one hasn't seen in 3 years. Keith finally got out of the shower and by the time he got dressed there was a knock on the door.
Immediately he yelled that he'll get it making sure that Lance followed him. He didn't see his friend yesterday since he was all caught up in the Lotor situation. So Keith wanted to make sure they got to see each other.
Keith opened the door and Lance was standing behind him. When he saw Hunk his face look so shocked.
"Hunk?" Hunk smiled and opened up his arms knowing that Lance had always loved his hugs. Lance practically tackled the poor guy when he hugged him.
"Wait. Lotor didn't follow you right?" Lance looked up and looked around outside. Low and behold, there was Lotor leaning on the post and waving at Lance.
Lance pulled Hunk inside and slammed the door and locking every part that could. He turned around to face a worried Keith.
Lance nodded and started to fall to the floor. Lotor just couldn't get the hint. Even after Keith had fought him at the gym.
If Lotor had followed him here from the gym then that means he still has the knife he cut Keith with earlier.
Keith pulled Lance away from the door and kept him in his arms. Then a knock.
