Weiss wakes up every day like clockwork, she follows a strict schedule, Weiss was glad she had very understanding roommates who accommodate her “quirks” ever since she enrolled at Beacon University, she has been living with them. Weiss needed to do everything to her schedule, she knew she was partially on the spectrum, but she didn’t see it as a big deal since Ruby and Maria never mentioned anything. A more recent new item Weiss had added to the schedule that her roommates seemed to be interested in was people watching, the reason being that Weiss wanted to study people so that she could better understand social cues and try to discern what people are thinking
Weiss smiled as she grabbed her journal and went to wake up her roommates Ruby and Maria. Knocking on both doors Weiss handed each one a cup of coffee to their liking. Weiss then moved along and began her usual exercise routine while Ruby and Maria got ready for the day.
Upon hearing their doors close Weiss perked up. “Are you two ready! We got people to study!” Weiss said with a dramatic pose holding her journal while balancing on a chair.
Ruby and Maria both clapped and held their own journals. “Yup! I can’t wait to see the different unique individuals I will find today. I also hope we stop for cookies on the way” Ruby said in an excited peppy tone, that was also strangely formal, but to Weiss it seemed normal since it was close to how she spoke.
Maria smiled and nodded. “Yeah, I cant wait to catalogue all the weirdos I spot out there.” Maria said as she looked through her journal.
While the three may look at people for different reasons, it was still a fun activity the three can do together, and that’s all that Weiss wanted, she was happy to have friends who shared similar interests with her.
As the trio sat on a bench in the park they all wrote different things as people walked by, Weiss also noticed that Ruby changed how she talked but only when out in public, she also noticed Maria would act calmer and less harsh in public too. Thinking to herself “Maybe they are just masking like I do?” Weiss writes down a few things she sees people do when talking to each other.
Ruby doing what Weiss can only describe as absolutely demolishing a cookie excitedly pointed at someone. “OOHH! THEY LOOK SO DIFFERENT! They changed their look from last time! “ Ruby excitedly scribbled it down in her notebook.
Weiss looked at the guy and shrugged to herself, noting all he had done was cut his hair from what she remembered last time they saw him.
Maria spoke up as she pointed to a tan girl with many freckles jogging by wearing her hair in a ponytail. “Oi it’s that freckled weirdo again! The one who tried flirting with your sisters girlfriend Ruby! “ Maria quickly jotted down in her notebook as Ruby looked up.
Ruby squinted and looked over. “Oh! That Ilia! She was Blake’s roommate before she started dating Yang.” Ruby said as she jotted down Ilia too.
Weiss jotted down that bit of information, she was always glad to learn more about her roommates.
After a long good hour of people watching, the trio stopped by one of Ruby’s favorite bakery’s at the counter was one of Ruby’s friends Jaune, Weiss always noticed he got a little stiff whenever she entered, almost like he was trying to hide something, but she wasn’t quite sure.
Wiess did enjoy the company of his two Girlfriends, how he managed to date both Jessica and Pyrrha she will never know. Pyrrha was an incredible athlete and also very intelligent, Jessica was smart and a track star at their university. Jaune for the most part was just an average Joe, not very athletic and not a star student, but he was a great cook she will give him that.
Weiss sat with Maria and Ruby, Jessica had just finished speaking with Maria, smiling and waving hi to Weiss as she made her way back behind the counter.
Weiss looked at Maria. “What were you girls talking about?” Weiss said as she began to eat the cake Ruby had ordered for the three of them, Ruby was at this moment scarfing down cookie after cookie from her plate.
Maria laughed as she took a sip of hot chocolate. “Oh nothing really. She wanted to try and tell me something she had learned but I stopped her. I told her that not only do I like surprises but its better for me to learn on my own, a little something I picked up from you.” Maria winked at Weiss.
Weiss tilted her head and nodded. “I see.” Weiss wasn’t sure why, but she felt like Ruby and Maria were hiding something from her. Thinking to herself Weiss simply thought “Maybe they have a crush on me and were talking to Jessica about it?”
Weiss was onto something about Ruby and Maria hiding something, but it wasn’t just how they felt about her.
Hours later when the group arrives back at the apartment, Ruby and Maria sat down on the couch they had told Weiss that they needed to talk. Weiss figured this would be bad news.
Ruby spoke first. “Weiss we’ve been roommates for a while now and we decided we should be honest with each other, and we know its not normal or even something that others do, but we wanted to be closer with each other.”
Maria nodded her head and added her own bit. “So we decided we should just all speak our minds and bare our true selves.”
Weiss nods her head and closes her eyes. “I understand, I would like to date the both of you as well.” Weiss opens her eyes and sees a stunned Ruby and Maria, only she didn’t remember Ruby being a thin figure with larger eyes and glowing skin, or Maria being slim figure with a skull-like face and pale skin.
Maria and Ruby both look confused “Wait… are you… not an Alien like us? We wanted to show our true forms and be more honest… but… dating you sounds nice too.” Ruby chuckles nervously.
Weiss seems frozen in place and in shock.
Maria thinks for a bit, before hitting her first into her hand. “OH! Maybe this is what Jessica was trying to tell us! She must have been trying to say that Weiss is a human!... and I ignored her thinking she was gonna tell me what Weiss was.” Maria rubs the back of her head.
Weiss slaps her own cheek and rubs her eyes. “So… I’m not dreaming… and… you two are Aliens…” Weiss seems utterly shocked as she stiffly moves to the chair and sits down. Taking a sip from her drink she finally snaps. “I THOUGHT I WAS DOING SO GOOD! I THOUGHT I WAS BEING NORMAL! NOW I KNOW YALL TWO WERE JUST AS WEIRD AS ME!” Weiss clutches her head in hands and whines. “I get along better with Aliens than humans…oh my god my family was right I am a weirdo…”
Ruby does her best but is unable to hold back her laughter at Weiss’ las remark. “Cheer up Weiss, how many people do you know are chill with Aliens, let alone willing to date two at once… well actually you do know one person since Jaune is also dating two Aliens… huh if I had a nickel for every time then I’d have two nickels HAHAHA!”
Maria chuckles at Ruby’s comment and doubles over laughing. Causing Weiss to actually laugh too.
Weiss smiles “I guess that means you two accept my accidental confession and were all dating now?”
Maria and Ruby nod, Weiss for her part pulls out her journal again and begins jotting down notes on Ruby and Maria’s alien forms.
