Amazonian has a connection with Wakandian back in 17th century when both race constantly send out spies to the outside world for information.
The Amazonian was learning about how Zeus "creation" human was evolving and adapting while the Wakandian was struggling to free their brothers and sisters from the life of slavery. Seeing this, one of the Amazon lady, Lilika, has tried to spoke with one of the slave but has immediately chase them off. It has to be until when trying to set sail on their ship that the Wakandian find out how their "owners" has set fire on all their boat. Feeling hopeless with over 100 people including women, man and children in hiding at one of the abandoned harbour on the verge of starvation that a Wakandian little girl, Bisa, risk everything to sneak back to the city, hoping to look for a solution but instead the solution find her.
Lilika along with her partner, Oksana was on a mission of getting information on Ares when Bisa ran into them, literally. The 2 woman then gave Bisa as much of their food as possible after hearing her story. And being such kind hearted creatures they are, they couldn't turn their back on the girl without helping.
After a few days of carefully planing and prepare, the 2 woman along with Bisa travel to the harbour where Bisa family was. When they got there, Bisa wasted to time explaining their plan for everyone while Lilika and Oksana handed out breads and waters for everyone in a rusted harbour warehouse. Many people immediately grabs on the chance of freedom but many was afraid but follow cause they knew chance like this will never come again.
Their plan was to wait a few more days for more Amazonian to arrived then they will process to wait till the night to docks their ship at the harbour then people will be hidden in huge wooden box then process to bring abroad. Luckily and surprisingly the Amazonian sisters had successfully snuck all the ex-slaves abroad. After many long days, they finally made it back to the Paradise island where a beautiful Queen Hippolyta was waiting for her guest arrival. She of course did her best to welcome them after hearing all about those terrible stories that her spies and the Wakandian has told her.
After many months, the Amazonian process to help the Wakandian navigate and get back to their own home but a few young women decided to stay and serve as a free Amazon woman which was all welcome but only the women are allowed to stay. In all those women there are also Bisa and her own 2 sisters. For 3 century the Amazonian has many time help the Wakandian rescue their people and as an exchange favor, the Wakandian show Amazonian their well developed technology, and sometimes even giving them some of the vibranium as an thank you.
But their friendships was cut off around the 20th century when the first world war break out leading to both nation to cut off connection, raise their defense and went into hiding, this continued for 1 century. Even years after the events, many things has changes in the world, no more slave, no more war, Wakanda is still see as a poor third-world country and Themyscira existence still remain unknown to man kind and a history myth in Wakanda book. That was until the "Civil War" event between "The two Panthers of Wakanda" in 2018 that Wakanda finally show it true face and not until the "Darkside invasion" that Themyscira was finally put on the map. Both country are still trying to reconnect.
