Cleo and Kyle ran towards the hyper lift and got in
The ride was quick and jarring as they stood there processing what just happened only seconds ago
Cleo wondered how this was even possible I mean superheroes are supposed to be a myth, legend, tall tale but now that was all real and Brother was one of them.
Cleo was still looking at the almost transparent floor when the hydrolift stopped Kyle and ran towards Connie.
Now on the verge of tears, Kyle hugged her with his strength and just stood there still grappling with what he had just seen.
Cleo just walked away and towards the balcony and just stood there dissociating. She had done it a little when she was in middle school but never like this before it felt so quiet as she thought of those cute birds her girlfriend, Charlie had shown her a few days ago. Like nothing was even happening like she hadn’t seen what she just saw.
Even when the boys came out of the hyper lift and the verbal argument began
It felt so peaceful just standing there no thoughts no worries just her and her memories

“Why?” Chase said clutching his fists
Oliver and Kaz had stepped out of the hydrolift just a few seconds prior bleeding purple and out of breath. The rest of the team stared at them in shock
“We had no other choice left,” Oliver said knowing what they had done and now filled with regret.
“You know how screwed you guys are now.” Skyler then chipped in
“Yeah deciding to use superpowers in front of siblings is bad news” Bree joined in after
“So what Kyle was supposed to be trapped in that stupid cage forever while Ollie’s sister is on the verge of a panic attack” Kaz said as Oliver nodded
“You should have waited until one of us came down and thought of a good idea,” Chase said his tone now shifting more toward anger
“Oh what so now we supposed to wait for one of you to come down and probably guess by the time you get there one of them has probably passed out on the floor,” Oliver said
“And not to mention probably dead” Kaz joined in
“Whatever all we know is Cleo is out” he looked towards the the balcony where he could see her looking out with her arms on the lege
“Doing something and Kyle… ran off” he saw as Kyle was no longer next to Skyler
“Why don’t we tell them it’s bionics?” Bree protested
The team looked at like she was blind
“Do you not see we’re bleeding purple instead of red..” Oliver said
“Just tell them it's a side effect of the chip or something” Bree continued
“Cleo is a nerd and a comic book fan she is the one who got me into comics I think she would be able to tell the difference between purple blood and red blood,” Oliver said with a little sass in his voice
“Well sorry to question you smart ass” Bree responded
Oliver looked at her with disappointment in his eyes
“Anyways the main thing is that your siblings now think that something is majorly wrong with you” Skyler interrupted her pointy ears twitching
“So I guess there's no choice now,” Kaz said looking around the room “We have to tell them the truth even though it might risk everything”

Kyle was in Kaz’s room on his phone looking through old photos of him and his siblings when he got an old photo of Kaz.
He was in a red shirt with green-blue pants and by him was the oldest sister Katie
Kyle put the phone down and laid down on the bed looking at the ceiling
“And I thought I could make a relationship with one of them that wasn’t Katie,” He said
Just then there was a knock on the door
“I don’t wanna talk right now!” Kyle shouted as he put the blanket over his head

He opened the door
“Look whatever it is you want to say to me right now to make me better won’t work-” he cut himself when he a boy around his age with curly hair and a blue shirt with tan leggings standing at the door instead
“Sorry I don’t know who you’re about to yell at but I'm not them,” the boy said to him
“Oh it’s fine,” Kyle said to him his face feeling warmer than usual
“Can I come in?” The boy said
Kyle snapped back to reality “Oh yeah sure come right in!”
The boy then stepped into the room and took a look around. There were mostly posters of great inventors and scientists probably because Donald Davenport owned the building. Then was the plain bed in the middle with no emotion at all.
“Hmm I know who these are guys” The boy said looking at the posters
“You do because they look like the most uninteresting people even” Kyle said with sass
“Yeah, that's Katherine Johnson, the woman who beat all odds and helped with the mathematics for Apollo 13!” The boy said with excitement in his voice
“And how do you know of this” Kyle said in surprise meant
“Oh I'm really interested in this stuff and it’s just so fun to learn!” He said flapping his hands up and down
“Speaking of which I never got your name?” Kyle said to the boy
“Oh shit sorry I’m AJ” he said
He held out his hand and Kyle took it
“So AJ what are you doing here?” Kyle asked
AJ looked at him trying his best to make eye contact
“My parents work a ton so I sneak out and explore this complex” AJ said sitting on the bed
“Oh that must be interesting” Kyle started to play with his hands
There was an awkward silence for a moment until another knock at the door
“Merida! That actually must be brother” Kyle said his confusion turning to a little fear
“Don’t worry I know a back way” AJ said as he started for the door that just looked like it appeared out of nowhere. He must have never noticed before
“Wait!” Kyle said his hands going over his mouth in regret now thinking why he said that
“Will I ever see you again?” Kyle said thinking what someone from a stupid telenovela would say
“Probably if you ever visit again,” AJ said smiling
Kyle then realized he was blushing he never felt this feeling for anyone before

And like that, he was out
“I will..” Kyle said as he went for the door

Cleo stood on the balcony still thinking of memories
The glass door slid open
There Oliver stood there waiting until he spoke
“Hi” he started
She looked at him and then looked back and then at the ground below
“When were you going to tell me” she began little sadness in her voice
“I was thinking about it really I swear I was” Oliver quietly said
She turned back
“Oh were you now!” She shouted her hand hitting the ledge of the balcony tears now forming in her eyes
Oliver flinched then walked over
“ I understand why your mad-” he was cut off
“You fucking don’t! We barely talked when we were little. I know nothing about you!” She said in a genuine voice
Oliver didn’t know what to say next he was stuck on his words
Until he knew the reason the actual reason
“I didn’t want you to worry,” he said
She looked back in shock at him about to go into tears
She sighed and looked at the sky “I’m your older sister that’s what I’m supposed to do” “What I’m supposed to be”
There was silence now
“I’m supposed to protect you I’m supposed to be there for you but I never was I thought if I never came you wouldn’t care,” she said her hands balling into fists now
“Now you're out there doing this dangerous crap and I can do nothing to protect you from it” “Shit that could fucking kill you!” She yelled
“I don’t have those amazing powers that you have and I have no idea where they came from,” she said tears now rolling down her face
Oliver gasped
Cleo looked at him with fear
“And now I - I can’t-” She continued
Then there was a hug
It felt weird the siblings never really showed affection they were never taught to
They immediately let go after
Then they both decided to both look towards the sky
Then Cleo turned her head towards he brother still wiping tears from her face
“So what does it feel like” She started
“What?” Oliver responded with
“Your powers?” she laughed a little
“Oh well weird but like ticklish?” he laughed as well
“Does anyone else know? Dad? Mom?”
The mom took Oliver out her evil smile, her plan, and her everything but he knew he just couldn’t tell her right now. It wasn’t a lie it was another protection, right?
“No!” he said faster than normal
Cleo looked confused
He then turned around to hide that his nostrils flared
He turned back around to find her still confused but just ignored it thinking it was nothing to worry
“Well you can add me to that list now” She smiled at him
They talked for a little bit longer

It was quiet
Kyle looked at the floor
Kaz tried to look at him but he looked away again
“Look-” Kaz tried to begin
“Whatever it is your going to say I don’t want to hear it. It won’t change anything” Kyle cut him off

“Because your so cool you have friends, a lover, and now cool superpowers!” Kyle shouted
“Wait? Lover?” Kaz said in confusion

“Like I just said you have friends who don’t backstab you and bully you for your interests!” “And now you have these cool superpowers that make you even cooler”
Kyle shouted again he needed to stop that
“There’s no one at my school who likes comics or GNG!”
“Wait? You like comics?” Kaz asked
“Yeah I know it’s stupid and you're going to say oh Kyle-”
He was cut off by a Kaz holding his hands and having a proud face
“You like like comics?”
“Yeah..” Kyle respond
“I’m so proud of you!” Kaz said
“What?”
“Yeah!” I thought no one else in this family did

“Not the point” as Kaz got up to leave the room

He left the room as Kyle sat there feeling for once in his 13 year life

It had been a few days since the “Truth” and now it was time for there siblings to leave
“So was your guys stay” Chase asked
“Questionable” Cleo said putting her sunglasses down
“Well come back and visit sometime” Skyler said with excitement
Oliver and Kaz had told them that “Connie” was actual the Superhero “Skyler Storm” and let’s just say they geeked out till no tomorrow

Cleo also had asked if she knew Gamma Girl her favorite hero if her shirt was evidence enough
They also explained how they got their powers and why they bleed purple now
They were kinda confused at first but hey they got it soon enough
“Well, our ride is her. Come on Kyle” Cleo said to the boy not wanting to leave just yet
Kyle hugged his brother tight before he let go
