Clarissa was walking up to Lesso’s grave while Leonora was watching her from behind a wall of trees. Clarissa kneeled down and placed a bouquet of roses down on Lesso’s grave, she placed kiss on her hand and placed it on the top of the gravestone, “I miss you, Lee, I wish you were still here”
Leonora turned around and closed her eyes, she couldn’t show that she heard, she couldn’t make any noise.
Clarissa got up and turned around, she knew that Lesso wasn’t in that grave, so she now had to go talk to her. She walked to the line of trees and crept around until she was in front of Lesso.
When Leonora opened her eyes she fell back against the tree in surprise, “Princess, what-”
Clarissa didn’t even try to look surprised, “You lied” She took a deep breath, “You lied,” her eyes flickered up to meet Leonora’s, “to me”
Leonora swallowed, “Yeah, how did you find out?”
“Your casket wasn’t heavy enough, after the service I opened up the casket”
Leonora nodded her head, “Are you mad?”
Clarissa smiled, “Yes, quite furious actually, but the fact that you are still alive is holding me back from yelling at you, and telling you that your death almost broke me” Clarissa had started crying about halfway through her tiny rant.
Leonora enveloped Clarissa in a hug, “I’m so sorry princess” She turned her face into Clarissa’s hair, “I didn’t mean to hurt you”
Clarissa wrapped her arms around Lesso’s back, “I know, but you really scared me?”
Lesso pulled back and looked at Clarissa with curiosity, “There’s something else, isn't there?”
A blush started growing on Clarissa’s neck, she looked down at the ground and responded in a whisper, “Yeah”
Lesso lifted Dovey’s head with her finger, “What is it, Princess?”
The blush on Clarissa’s neck only grew and intensified, “It’s nothing, not important”
Clarissa had tried to walk off but Leonora pulled her back, except she pulled to far so they wound up pressed up against each other. “Princess, what is it?”
Lesso’s voice had turned stern, and it did nothing for Clarissa’s continually growing blush, “Nothing”
Lesso dipped her head to whisper in Clarissa’s ear, “One more time, what. is. it., Clarissa?”
Clarissa shivered from having Leonora breath on her ear, she shifted her head slightly so that her lips met Lee’s.
When she realized what she was doing she tried to pull away, only to realize that Leonora was holding her firmly in place, “Do you know why I call you ‘Princess’?”
Clarissa swallowed, which didn’t help her dry throat, at all, she shook her head, “Is it because I’m prissy”
Lesso chuckled and shook her head, “No, nothing like that, it’s not even really about the way that you dress”
Confusion crossed Clarissa’s face, but she let Lesso finished explaining before talking, “It’s because since the very first time I ever called you princess I had decided that I would protect you the way a prince would protect their princess”
After Clarissa had registered what Leonora said she grabbed Lesso’s neck and pulled her down for a kiss, when they split Clarissa laid her head on Lesso’s chest, “Never do that again”
Lesso decided to be difficult, “What? Kiss you? I mean I can do it, but I don’t think you’d like it”
Clarissa hit Leonora’s chest, “You know what I mean, don’t you ever fake your death ever again”
Lesso shrugged, “No promises”
Clarissa just shook her head and pulled Leonora down for another kiss, “Your impossible”
